As the group moved toward it's destination, before the Ghouls attacked Dieter's plan to put markings was a smart idea. As they would continue they would begin to notice the marking would pop up again up to two times as they moved. This of course was the first clue, as they would passed the marking they would notice which doors that itself opened when the ghoul attacked, though not time to think afterwards one could notice this.
The fight against the Ghouls began as one charged towards Gedeon only to be hit by the shot gun and flew back from the force of it. One thing they would note the Ghoul though looking having armor on in fact showed like it got damage but that is not one notice. On closer inspection the body itself on inlmpact distorted like it was hiding something. The other ghouls being fought off began to same very subtly impacts as well from the bullets. The more it one who paid attention would notice it. As the fight continue all the Ghouls would fall and not move anymore after an intense figh the two doors would close at same time. Should they continue moving forward or stop? If they continue forward once again the two doors would once again open and another set of six ghouls would show before them once more.
Ghoul Animation (Advanced): Used by Shade Necromancer and other Necromancer is the most efficient way to animate existing dead bodies. Using part of itself own soul can take over a certain amount of dead bodies at once. Though quite effective this form of necromancy has its own cons, due to controlling bodies are easier it has only a limited amount of ghouls that can be created. As well it must have perfect bodies to use to work as intented. Though the weaker form can form swarms of Zombies the weaker form of Ghouls which uses hungar to be a weapon of war Ghoul animation is must more controlled and less dangerous to turn on you.
Dungeon Illusion: Apart of the Boundary Field Dungeon Field, it what makes the Dungeon so dangerous. Affecting all senses and mind it is near impossible to not be effected. In Imaginary Macrosm the only way to get out is to solve the puzzle of the dungeon. One must understand what their seeing is an illusion and must break it. Of course there is a far more advance form which itself can be created by God's which literally forms it's own realm, unlike normal illusion realms are in fact made from imaginary into actual reality.

After firing his shot gun another Ghoul jumped towards him but suddenly he heard familar chanting and a shorten form of it as smaller fire hammers suddenly hitting the second Ghoul, it began to burn which Gedeon did a kick to push to back as it burned.
"You really need to pay attention, boss .", Tamara soon effinsized to him.
"Tamara, I had it.", Gedeon replied in a deadpan tone to his younger but bratty pupil.
"Riiiighht.. anyways, Looks like your having a moment to think what did you notice?", Tamara soon asked which Gedeon soon replies, "The armor is an illusion of course."
With that learned they turned to the other two professor's if they noticed anything else. They only noticed that but anything else they didn't. Which left to Dieter or James to figure out what is with this Dungeon.
"What else did you guys notice?", Gedeon soon asked as he turned to see how well the fighters of this world are.
For one thing he was quite impressed, a different form of fighting but it was just as good as any Mage Knight groups or any other group there has been. Though using guns were something rarely used in Imaginary Macrosm unless they were from that one city that managed to put fire spells and other magic spells within something similar to a gun. As well there was Mana Enhanced weaponry which you could poor your mana into to fire weapons similar to gun as well but that was a different basis.
"Oh by the way, your uhh soldiers or whatever worked very well Mister Dieter. Seems your men got some form of marshal training, something that I had yet to see properly here.", Gedeon soon commented.

The group blew away the ghouls with practiced efficiency, just as Dieter presumed they would. No one here was lacking in talent, even if it was sometimes focused into different areas. The man examined the fallen before moving on, and as well, the marks on the walls.
"You are correct, the armor does appear to be fake. I wonder why our foe bothered, did he think we'd stay our hand because they bear the cross? He must not think highly of us if so. Any man coming at me with hostile intent would be met with force, his appearance doesn't matter." Dieter said. Then he pointed out the lines he had scratched into the wall, drawing the team's eyes to them.
"Look, we're going in circles. This hallway must be cycling back onto itself. If these are any indication, it isn't very long of a cycle either." Saying that didn't exactly give an answer, but it was something to work with. As it was, Dieter had a plan of a sort. Two actually. "Here is what I am thinking. Perhaps we need to go backwards and see if we can break the loop that way, perhaps some combination of forwards and back? But for the moment, I would like to try these doors. The monsters were real even if their apparel was not, and that means they must truly lead somewhere."
With a wave of the hand he motioned for his men to try and open the doors, now that they knew it was possible. Regardless, they didn't seem to want to budge for the humans. That made him ponder heavily, though his concentration was momentarily broken by Gedoen's compliment.
"Thank you, Mr. Salvator. I run a very tight ship, if you excuse the figure of speech. Some of them I have even trained myself, though that doesn't happen as often as I'd like. My work keeps me busy, as I'm sure you can understand. Now then, I think we should move on. I suspect that we'll be facing more monsters when we do, so be ready for that. Likely, they'll be coming from the exact same spots, if we are lucky. Let's go."
Dieter lead them on, and indeed, the hallways did cycle again. Also as predicted, the enemies came back. Since they were expecting them and they had no new tactics or tricks, Dieter and the rest of the group would blow them away again with the same lack of issue. Though it was a drain on bullets. This time, however, the commander had a plan to defeat the illusion and take it off the necromancer's rails. He thought fast and shoved one of the newly-killed ghouls into a door before it could close all the way, forcing it to stay open.
"Now, help me now!" Gerhardt cried out as he tried to force the door open wider than the small crack the dead body had provided. His men put their shoulders into it, not letting this chance get away. While doing this the German would at least get a good look at whatever was on the other side.
Maybe someone else in the party that was less distracted would be able to take a closer look at these monsters and see if they were the same, or somehow different. Dieter was too busy fighting with the terrain for that.

He followed, and he destroyed the new ghouls along with the rest of his team. Instead of looking forward to finding the exit, he thought about what he could do with the ghouls. It seems that these ghouls are going to return every time they move forward, from the explanation he had received from Gedeon, it takes much less mana to maintain creatures that have a physical form.
He crouch down and examines the bodies in details, and is pretty sure that these special looking ghouls, are the same as the ones upstairs. Their armor doesn't seem to give them much protection, or rather because it doesn't exist, it is just an illusion that makes them seem stronger. In other words this necromancer might not be in their best shape anymore, which is understandable with the number of undeads that they have seen, and the different magics that they try to cast. From the explanation he had received from Gedeon, these creatures are similar to puppets controlled by the powers of their master, however if they are un-animated then they would become an empty container, in other words...
"Hm, Mr. Gerhardt, let me give you a hand. Give me a few seconds..."
He took out apiece of paper, bit on his index finger to draw some blood from it, and starts to write something on the paper. Again like before, he had small light orbs surrounding him along with a gust of wind as he begins to cast a spell. After he finishes writing, he slaps it onto the forehead of the ghoul he had defeated, and let his mana flow over to it.
"Victims of the unforeseen, heed my call! My energy shall anchor your spirit! Let it become the necessary piece to guide your body! In the name Taishang Laojun, I demand you to hurry and do as I commanded!"
The ghoul, which pretty much looked like a regular corpse, began to change. The illusion armor shatters, and regathers itself into clothes that wraps around the body, similar looking as clothing worn by officials in the Qing Dynasty. Rather than the fierce, starving look, the body now takes on the appearance of a resting body. The body, turns into a bluish color, and becomes smooth as if a layer of powder was added on. The regular piece of paper, now turns into a rectangle, and forms a hat that rests on the ghoul. Written on it is the last line that James have spoken, borrowing the powers of Taishang Laojun, one of the three Taoist Supreme Lord that is the source of all energy.
"Call Minion! Jiangshi! Come to life, and stand before me!"
James then slams his fist on the floor, which seems to cause the former ghouls to stand right up. As James finishes his last words, the now controlled Jiangshi, opens it, or her eyes and stands there with her arms stretched out before her. Her eyes are green and lightly glowing, similar to a good number of Chinese evil creatures. A brand
A Jiangshi is a Chinese Vampire, they are corpses that revived due to many reasons such as the existence of evil spirits, the terrain they are buried in, or an unbalance in one's spiritual and physiological souls. Unlike Western Vampires, the Jiangshi can "grow" and gain different abilities. At first, they cannot even move their joints, and have to rely on jumping to travel. However they have great strength, cast iron bodies, and some are even said to become servants to buddhas. Taoist priests with great powers occasionally control them as servants, making use of their physical abilities.
Now that the summoning is complete, James stood there for a moment to admire his own work, then remembered about the reason why he summoned her. So he sends her over to help Dieter with the door.
"I suppose I'll call you Mei Mei, just like one of those pandas. Go Mei Mei, force open that door."
As expected, Mei Mei can't walk, so she bounces over to where Dieter was like someone on a pogo stick. Now what can something that can't even bend their joints do? A corpse that can't even walk should be nothing to feared, but that was not the case. Jiangshi might not have nearly as much magical powers as vampires, but instead they know something else. She leans back a bit, holding out her hands as a palm, and slams into the door with strength that can overcome several strong men.
They know Kung Fu, or Chinese marshal arts.
Although Jiangshi is similar to other undeads that they are a corpse, they have the trait of having energy of yang, so energy of the living. With that, they can use Chinese marshal arts that bases around the uses of chi, allowing them to fight like a trained warrior along with their superior strength. And with her master's support in supplying her with energy, that is more than enough to use some of it for combat.
It seems that the doors cannot be broken, but we're talking about a strike with the force that would normally shatter a stone wall, so there should be no problem with pushing the door open provided that it could be done. Even if it doesn't work, having a summon with great physical ability will surely help in combat.
He also noted that she didn't use much of his mana capacity, even less than those of the wisp, so he took the opportunity to summon a second one after making sure there's no side effects towards her. He won't want to turn his new summon into ashes just because he kept some holy spirit around.

Due to quick thinking Dieter and James manage to figure out the first part of the riddle. The everything but the two doors were fake. They were in fact going back to the same spot no matter which way they would go. But due to quick thinking and a clever use of a summon, the door that was closing suddenly was forced open for only a moment. It would be enough time for everyone to go through the door way until they would come into the next 'room'.
Though not a room per say but now they would notice a medieval village with a large cathedral to the distance. Behind them the door way would close to what would of been a gate way in those times complete shut. Another they would notice the village itself was dark with a thick mist surround all the buildings. Though torches were lit through out it gave one pause if could notice everything. They could take a moment to investigate the area but within ten minutes the cathedral would ring and begin to glow green. Suddenly from the various buildings ghouls and even regular zombies would be seen. They had a few choices flee, push forward, to fight it out.

Gedeon quickly moved towards Dieter to try to help him keep the door open with all his strength. Alas it was pushing harder then he would of thought as it continued to slowly close. Whatever Dieter figured out it must of been the doors, which Gedeon finally noticed as well. As this was happening Tamara turned to James who was examining the dead corpse which intrigued her as well. Observing James she soon asks, "What are you doing?"
Her answer was given through action and not by voice as James began to use the body to do a summoning ritual which she soon impressed on what he was going which soon noticed the warrior before her. The Warrior looked familiar but she couldn't place it and suddenly it was named Mei Mei. Which she soon noticed Mei Mei moving quickly to knock back the door with ease which got Gedeon to whistle at that.
"Well that is one mean summon.", Gedeon soon stated as the door was easily hit open.
Looking to Tamara noticing the door way has a distorted field like before leading through which he soon says, "Well Mister Dieter you just figured out the first puzzle. Shall we continue?"
As he and Tamara moved through they soon looked at the village which looked old and medieval. Both of them noticed the village itself and turned back to see the gate way closed, which of course byond was pure darkness which made sense.
"A Village in the middle of... where are we?", Tamara soon asked as she looked around.
Gedeon began to investigate around and touched a wall which felt real, he continued to look around and soon comments, "Strange... reminds me of a historical site I been to before with my Mentor, but where?"
Of course he tried hard to remember but nothing came to mind, looking around the smell did smell bad as an medieval town would and noticed everything around.
"Gedeon look up there.", Tamara soon pointed as she was pointing to a cathedral.
"A Catholic Church? What could this mean exactly?", Gedeon then asked out loud as he was still not connecting the dots.
As they both looked suddenly a bell from the cathedral rang out which vibrated around them all almost like it was causing a ripple effect. Looking they both notice the green glow of the cathedral before them which was similar to the ghouls.
"Wait a minute, the cathedral is glowing with mana just like the ghouls eye's were!!", Gedeon soon shouted but then began to hear tapping all over and suddenly screeches began to appear all around them.
Tamara got close to Gedeon and green eyes from all the buildings were around them, she held his arm hard which was gear itself. Looking around Gedeon soon says, "Uhh I don't think we got the ammunition to fight all them!!"
"Gedeon the church!! We got to head to the church I think!!", Tamara soon stated which he nods.
"Well that would be the cause of this place so we better get moving or be well not whole anymore!", Gedeon shouted as he brought up his shot gun and began to fire and move towards the path that lead to the church.

Dieter didn't get a good chance to look at the summon until it had helped him force the door open, and when they were done there and ushered through, he took a few steps back to examine it with an unreadable expression.
"An Asian Vampire? I have heard of them. I am not certain how wise it is to use another undead when we face a necromancer, but ideally, that talisman will keep the foe's foul magics away. I fear it could be taken over, you see. Particularly since it appears quite strong." Those were Dieter's concerns. His knowledge of the occult was decidedly more western, but he was aware of the basics of the myths surrounding these walking dead. He noted that the spell on that paper seal was designed to have some manner of control over those bodies, or so the stories went, but how much was beyond him.
Either way it was just a quip. James was the expert on that.
He kept his focus on the new area they were in and spent most of his energy there rather than debating about the merits of using their own undead. It appeared that they were outside now, which was equally intriguing. A village with a church at the center was the only real landmark around, so he guessed that was where they needed to go. The bell tower poked up through the mist and proved to be the easiest thing to see. The second easiest proved to be the torches that, conveniently, lit the way down the main cobblestone road towards the aforementioned holy building. None of that eased his mind, it felt like walking them into a trap. Worse, it was one they couldn't readily avoid.
"I suppose we're to go forward. Keep your eyes open, I trust we'll be facing attack from those buildings, the same way that we faced them from the side passageways a second ago." Dieter recommended, and then lead the way at a brisk pace. He was moving faster now, the village unsettled him much more than the castle halls. Probably because the terrain favored a melee so much more that the place they just left. "I wonder why they're so interested in Christian imagery? I wonder if they are a fallen priest, or something of the sort. I can only imagine that most necromancy is frowned deeply on in your dimension."
Gerhardt had kept his gun at first, but when they got to the edge of the village, he finally thought better of it. Instead, he pulled that short spear from its holster on his backpack, and replaced the submachine gun within it. It fell into place nicely, the straps winding around the Sten's mostly featureless cylindrical body. His hands moved deftly along the haft until they found a hidden catch, which made the telescoping handle expand with a *SHINKing* sound to bring it up to a respectable length for two handed wielding.
"You asked before if this lance was real, Doctor? Here is another clue for you. No one that claims to possess the original haft should be believed. The best woods take about two centuries to rot, in ideal conditions. The Mediterranean climate, is more than ideal condition. Western Roman spears were not particularly made to last, in that era. Later on the East would go on to reintroduce spearmen in their fights with the increasingly more unified Near Eastern states, and those were constructed with superior workmanship, but that was well after Christianity had begun to take over Paganism. Something to note." Dieter remarked, once again touching on the professor's fascination with these topics.
The man held the weapon expertly in both hands as they moved into the city. Along the way he'd flash his light into the darkened interiors of buildings to look for movement. He never saw any, but it didn't make him any more uncertain that they were going to spill enemies onto their flanks at the worst possible moment. That happened to be 10 minutes later, when the church starting to glow with emerald energy and cast out a droning, brassy sound from its bell. That was apparently the sign to attack, with doors and windows flipping open to allow undead to rush towards them. They were immediately met with bullets, and any that got even closer, met that spear. Its point would easily punch flesh and bone, and the power it held would seal the magic in the victim. Since they were animated by magic, that meant they would die. It didn't matter much for these grunts, but for the shade, it would be extremely deadly to face this lance. As Gedeon assumed much earlier.
He heard Tamara's suspicion and he nodded at her, thrusting an outstretched hand towards the cathedral to indicate that it was their current objective. "Get to the church! If nothing else we can hold them at bay there! Move!" He shouted.
The old-style House of God, with its heavy doors and mortared-stone walls looked like a bomb shelter to them right now. Even though it probably held new horrors of its own, cramped quarters could only help them. Like the halls of the ship, it would force the enemy to meet them in narrow passages that would sharply reduce their combat efficiency. Dieter bolted for it as fast as he could, swiping ghouls and zombies out of their path with the spear. The men with him controlled their fire expertly, only wasting shots on enemies that got too close, doing this to keep them from being grabbed or blocked from moving.

Arriving at the village, he look a took at the surroundings after hearing what Gedeon had mentioned. For a historic site the place sure seems well maintained, thought of course if it is just another wave of illusion then it could look anyway it wants.
"No worries, just like how I was unable to control a ghoul while it is still animated, the necromancer should have the same restriction as my own. She haven't been trying to attack me yet, so I'd say we'll be fine. We need something that can provide physical support, and there's not much other materials that I can work with in this place."
When Dieter brandished his spear, and gave a short explanation to James' question from before, he gave it a thought before nodding. It's true that a wooden handle would surely be unable to last the ages that it suppose to possess, so at most they would be able to find would be the spear tip. There is of course the possibility of the metal handle being produced later on, or that the handle was also affected by the blood of a saint, giving it special properties.
"True. Most of the possible discoveries of the relic has shown it as the spearhead rather than an entire spear, so any claims made of its existence along with the handle could possibly affect its chances of being the true lance. At least the handle won't belong on the original one, and would have been cast at a different date."
Their brief conversation was interrupted by the ringing of the bell, causing James to look at his surroundings in alert. He notice the wave of mana, and the new appearance of enemies inside the buildings, neither of them are a good sign. Who knows how many ghouls can the necromancer summon, at this rate they might have to face more and more of them at the same time, being in open space rather than inside the ship. However they also have their advantages, now that they're no longer inside the ship, so they won't have to worry about destroying the vessel.
"Ms. Ashborne! Burn the buildings with your magic! It should stall the ghouls from coming out inside, and possibly reducing their numbers before they could get close to us! Mei Mei! Do not engage with multiple targets, finish them off one by one!"
Still being a Jiangshi in her early forms, Mei Mei is not very agile, mainly because of her needs to travel by hopping. However her strength is enough to tear apart these ghouls that gets close to the group, she could easily reach out quickly and snap the necks of a ghoul before it could react. If the number gets high then she would just try to knock them away with her palms, while James would attempt to finish them off with bullets. Instead of having the wisps in battle, he sent them ahead to keep watch for traps and enemy reinforcements, so that he could warn the rest of the group about it in advance.
He wasn't too sure about heading to the church. From what he saw earlier, it seems like the source of these magic seems to come from the church itself, so there's a chance that their target could be hiding inside it. There is however, little choices so they may as well head right for their target and finish them off. Or perhaps if Alejandro's ability is related to the arts of assassination, perhaps we could do that on the necromancer to avoid a tough combat? However the man seems to be unwilling to share his story with the group, so it might not be too safe to rely on that.

The ghouls moved as the bullet fire and shot gun fire hit them harshly as the group moved toward the church. Through the town more of the undead began to appear as the group moved forward screeches could be heard from various buildings. The cathedral continue to glow and the bell continued to ring. Mei Mei and attack done by the others continued to help to open the path as the undead were running close behind them. Soon they would make it towards the front gate as more undead could be heard coming closer which soon the gate could be forced open soon after. When entering they would feel great gust of wind begin hitting the group, harshly as they entered the church's courtyard.
If they noticed now the church's green glow began to give off mana particles that could be visibly seen. Soon a low voice could be almost heard of it was either the wind or the cathedral itself. Now here if they noticed they were higher ground and the town was below. Which with James' idea of using fire now was the perfect time. Soon after a while suddenly the large door of the cathedral would open to them. Almost if inviting them to their doom. Though they could notice other door ways inside much smaller. Up to them, if they take big or small door.

Gedeon soon was now down to only one more round of shot gun shells as they finally arrived at the gate of the cathedral, looking around with no other way in he began to push hard to force the gate open. As it slowly moved soon Tamara came in and helped pushed which suddenly the gate broke free allowing the group to enter the courtyard. Once Everyone was in Gedeon began to push the gate back. He soon hears James yelling about Tamara using fire which he soon Nods to her as she suddenly pulled back a back as the undead were now charging towards the gate.
"Not sure how long this thing will last!! Tamara quickly do it now!!", Gedeon then shouts as he continued to push it as the undead finally hit the gate almost over powering Gedeon fully.
Behind him Tamara took out both hands and stretched them out fully with both hands making a large v if looked from above. She soon began to glow a blueish color as she began to concentrate everything into this attack. She was completely still and quiet as she continued to do so until below her blue symbols began to appear which looked greek in nature. As this continued Gedeon was being almost losing the gate completely until finally it was time. Though out this if one looked up the sky began to change almost if a storm was being unleashed below, soon Tamara began to chant.
'By the skies of a Titan, I call thy power of the cosmos. For he who gave fire to man that he believe man may progress into a new future. By the Sky of the sea of flames, come to my aide, by the fury, by the fiery Storm!! Come Prometheus give thy Power Unto Thee!! NOW UNLEASH THY SELF AGAINST MY ENEMIES!! FIRE STORM!!', Tamara shouted which suddenly a storm of flames came down around the cathedral which soon began to burn all the ghouls at once. The flames continued downward into the town itself making everything catch on fire at once.
The Screeches could be heard as the flame continue to devour the undead and soon all enemies close to the church stopped. When it was done Gedeon relax only a moment then turned around to tell good job to Tamara only to find her fall to the ground and blood coming from her ears, eyes, nose, and mouth.
"Tamara!!", Gedeon shouted as he quickly moved to catch her suddenly and soon checked her pulse.
He soon observed Tamara as sweat, heavy breathing, and then the blood suddenly stopped. Gedeon instantly recognized this as a result of using too much of her own mana and not the mana around. A Rookie mistake for a Mage Knight but to unleash such a spell meant as he suspected Tamara having abnormal reserves of mana within her body. Regardless, her pulling that off likely put her out of commission for the time being and soon turns to see suddenly the large doors opening.
"She is fine, but I wouldn't recommend her to do magic for the time being, anymore and she might as well kill herself.", Gedeon soon says to the others after checking her out then Suddenly picks her up bridal style.
Noticing the door now opened there was only pitch darkness but his own eyes narrowed as seeing it didn't look well.
"It seems whoever is this Shade Necromancer wants us to take the big door huh.", Gedeon comments as he noticed the other doors around as well.
Looking to the other he soon asks, "So should we take their invitation or should we go another way?"

The sprint to the church felt like it took years, time seeming to slow down as adrenaline pumped into their systems. The gate was closed tight, which made Dieter curse. Seeing to how Gedeon and Tamara got their first, he let them go about the work of opening it while he helped to cover them. His spear meant death for anything coming near, hacking and stabbing into undead that crossed into its field of reach. The flattened head of it proved as useful for swipes as for thrusts, and for a man in middle ages, its bearer used it with a master's precision. When the pair got the gate open he ushered everyone else through before going into the courtyard last, helping to throw it shut again afterward.
"Hold it, and I'll keep it sealed." He ordered Gedeon while he kept the gate shut and Tamara prepared her spell.
This time he was using a spell of his own. He drew his knife and carved a wide circle into the wooden gate, and then subdivided it up with other geometric shapes. Within those he scribed sharp, angular runes of power and protection. Nordic or Anglo-Saxon it appeared. At last he cut his thumb and pressed it to the seal, forcing power into it and providing the magical catalyst to activate the entire thing. Normally nothing visible would happen in his past experience, but whether it was because they were in the mind of a being from another dimension, or just because of all of the ambient mana in the area, the seal glowed a bright blue once completed. After that the gate it was carved into held fast despite the banging, and remained that way even after Tamara turned the entire town into ash with her spell.
Gerhardt stepped back to admire his work and hers through the gaps in the wooden boards. He looked very impressed, to say the least. "I had no idea that she was so powerful." The man remarked after Gedeon had taken care of the girl. "I can see why you were charged with protecting her. I can only imagine how powerful she will end up to be once she gains a better understanding of her capabilities."
The coast looked clear for the moment, so he walked slowly up to the steps of the cathedral. The leisurely pace was born as much from caution as his desire to catch his breath from all the running, which he was unabashedly doing via deep breaths.
"That ward should keep anything from following us for the time being. Provided they are not smart enough to just hop the wall. I would not bet money on that, but they hadn't tried it yet. So perhaps we'll be lucky, and they'll keep trying to break in the gate." Dieter said first, and then nodded to the church. "As for which entrance to take, I say that we choose neither option. Follow me."
Most holy structures of the era this one looked to be pulled from doubled as cemeteries, holy ground and all being the most desirable place to put dead bodies to rest. Usually around back, and that was where Dieter took them. The other thing these period-specific churches tended to sport were very big windows. You could see where he was going with this, but since certain members of their group were rather slow, he went ahead and demonstrated by hurling a fist sized rock through the nearest stained glass window at ground level. Supposing nothing horrible happened, he'd walk forward and smash out the rest of the glass with the butt of his spear before glancing around with his flashlight. If nothing appeared to try and stop them or make him want to not push forward, he would enter through the window at this point.
Once again, he was trying to drag this illusion off the rails. Or, if that wasn't possible, catch the necromancer off guard. Either way Dieter doubted he prepared for this approach, whereas it was likely both of the door-based approaches were trapped.

James and his servant follows the rest of the group inside, and the two helps in keeping the gate from being rammed open by the crowds of undead. He watches as Dieter uses some sort of nordic runes to lock the gate, which is a better idea than just using some regular barricade materials, at least for now it's going to stand without breaking apart any moment.
"Excellent moves Mr. Gerhardt, your physiques never ceases to impress me. I sure hope I am as fit as you are when I reach your age. Your knowledge in rune magic are just as impressive, being a poor hand-writer and artist I certainly can't do something like that."
The graveyard is often a dangerous location in horror movies, in zombie movies they tend to be portrayed as the area where unlimited zombies just crawl out of their graves. However, just like how people now are scared of such happenings, so were people in the past. Coffins were made to tightly confine the bodies in case they reanimate, and buried 6 feet underground, which mean's much more solid dirt than any human could possibly break out from. Even if one could normally do that, being trapped means you have very little space to use your strength, further limiting the chances of escape.
Sending the wisp ahead to help light up the interior of the church, he was about to follow Dieter and his team's example by going through the window before remembering that Mei Mei can't exactly climb. He looked at the heights of the window and the ground, deciding that it'll be too difficult to just hop in, he kneels down on knee so that Mei Mei could jump off his shoulders and dive inside. He pats himself a bit to get rid of the dust, then climbs in on his own, checking back to see if Gedeon needed a hand with Tamara. After all, it's not easy trying to climb with your hands busy.

With the group taking the third route and not the ones presented it actually did something the Shade Necromancer didn't expect. With the glass being broken them entering to the window would show no enemies ahead with the light. The ward in place at the gate prevented more enemies from coming helped them along as well. When entering through the glass the first thing the group will notice they were now inside the VR Experience room. Dieter's plan to throw the dungeon off rails completely worked and in fact solved the riddle of the dungeon in a way. They would notice the large room was pitch black except the light given off of the wisps that James summoned.
Of course the room itself had both advance cameras and advance projectors which were created by Albert Corporation as the next generation of VR. Unlike the VR of the past the newer VR combines AR into it and even some technology to trick your brain your in another zone. Of course with the situation ongoing, the massive room itself was shut down. They could move forward now towards the engine room, and nothing to stop them. As they would go down the flag of stairs they can notice on the walls and floor blood stains but no bodies. Likely people tried to escape ran as hard as they could only to die from the Shade Necromancer.
When entering the engine room suddenly once again everything on the floor changed, no longer they were inside the engine room but now on some tower in the sky. The tower looked different from ones seen in any of the current world history. The stone looked metallic and black and green mist could be seen all over. In the sky itself above the tower they would notice a large cloud of green giving out the same green haze from earlier that was coming towards the ship. Around them there was no way to visibility see far as green clouds covered everything.
For being st the top of the tower they would suddenly notice large engraved symbols on the ground all emitting a green color. Gedeon would instantly recognize the symbol but also would notice the tower itself. That alone would tell him the Shade Necromancer himself was not the one who was in charge due to the tower could only be one thing he did remember that stated existed before it's destruction. Soon before them the symbols would activate showing evil spirits spilling out, and soon one could see hands of flesh coming out as well.
And above that symbol was no other then the Shade Necromancer himself. His robes looked thst of a scholar of the church of old. His face looked old but if someone ever seen his picture would recognize him. Though massive differences for one he looked corrupted, beyond measure and before him floated three books with symbols that Dieter and James would recognize. Soon he would say in an old language of latin.
"So, you have managed to defeat my trials Mage Knights and their companions. To think I would run into your kind here of all places. Though I am impressed how you managed to defeat my dungeon with ease! I didn't expect it at all, nor I expected one of my puppets to be changed so easily. No matter soon the portal shall open and this world will soon feel the power of the Old One. You Mage Knights have tried to stop the Chaos, but now you cannot hope to stop me. By the Ancient Seas shall his voice shall be heard!!", the Shade Necromancer soon spoke.
The Tower of Babel: Though destroyed in ancient times by God in Imaginary Macrosm. No one truly knows what was the tower's original intent was. In fact the Tower was never truly destroyed but instead thrown between the Macrosm's within the Sea of Aether that connects all worlds. With the world's slowly converging the Tower has begun to appear at different points of both Macrosms.

Gedeon follow where Dieter lead them towards the back of the Cathedral which he noticed all the grave stones. He wondered on the ward that Dieter made, which reminded him of another type of magi within his own world. The Way he used it and notice the little use of mana from his own body told him much. This world having some form of magic surprised him, since he has not seen it from people of this world until today. When they were lead to the large windows he finally understood what the man was doing as he broke the glass window. Once the area looked clear he soon picked up Tamara and temporarily put her over his back as he began to climb up. A hand was extended which he soon great fully took as James help full him up as he jumped over. When arriving what he didn't expect to see suddenly jumping down on to the floor of the large VR Experience. He turned to see Tamara still breathing and slowly was beginning to calm down which meant the worst was over. Now taking a look he noticed behind him was a distorted field that they came from which soon commenting, "Well looks like you figured out how to break the laws of that Boundry Field. Which only leaves us the Engine room down those stairs straight ahead."
Looking around he began to search to see if there was any symbol or enemies well he was holding on to Tamara Tightly to prevent her falling off his back. He could leave her here then continue forward but it was a bad idea, he didn't know anything else would come well she was unconscious.
"Well let's get this over with.", Gedeon soon stated as he pressed forward.
Soon entering the stairway as they would walk down he noticed the various blood stains all over the floor, walls, and rails. This put him on a defensive, as he held the shot gun tighter and soon notices, no bodies.
"Strange... no bodies.", Gedeon comments as they would continue down toward the engine room.
Finally arriving to the large door that lead to the engine room he soon nodded to the others as he picked up his shot gun and held onto Tamara as he moved slowly to open the door. The moment the door opened a bright green light soon hit him and the group making him close his eyes only for a brief moment to finally open to his own shock. Looking where he was he noticed the area once again changed but also the floor was made of dark metal and he could sense mana, so much mana it was overwhelming. He began to look around and noticed the sky was green and clouds surrounded the platform, no he realized this was no platform but on top of a tower. He then turned to see a large symbol on the ground at the center of the top of the tower which he instantly recognize what he was.
"No... He wouldn't... that's...", Gedeon soon commented as he suddenly began to glow green and began to feel sick to his stomach.
A Foul smell could he sensed as soon evil spirits were coming off from the seal and screams, fearful screams coming from the symbol. Looking up he soon noticed the clouds in the sky were spinning and at the center of it he instantly knew what it was.
"The Portal!! Its Above!!", Gedeon soon managed to say then something eerily familiar was coming from this tower.
He knew this tower, but where? Why did it look so familiar yet looked so different? Then the way the clouds were no they were not clouds nor was this any just a tower. When he realized it he finally remembered during his time within the walls of the Academia of the Knightly Order of Conjurers. It was something he was so shocked his own face showed it as he finally managed to figure out.
"Impossible... it cannot be.... god.... god destroyed this tower!! Why? Just why is the Tower of Babel still exists!! Wait unless, this place... the Sea of Aether!!", Gedeon soon shouted as he finally figured out everything.
When he soon heard a voice he old latin he saw before him another face he was shocked to see which Gedeon realized who it was.
"YOU!! But why?!! The Alchemist was on the side of Humanity!! Why are you..!!", Gedeon soon stated until the the Shade Necromancer formerly Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa.
"What... open the portal?!! But using the Tower of Babel that would only.. ", Gedeon soon spoke until Cornelius soon spoke once more, "Ah Yes the Tower of Babel, a tower meant to surpass the gods and enter the realm of them. A tool used by the ancient people but god and his holy army destroyed the tower. You wondering this yes? No God didn't destroy the Tower because the Tower of Babel itself is what connects all Macrosms within the Sea of Aether. Even now due to man's hubris of the Archetypal Macrosm has unwittily connected to the Tower. The Tower is more then just the portal it is the bridge between all realms!! Without it the connection between Macrosm's wouldn't exist. You wonder why I have done such a thing?"
"Stop it!! You were not like this!! I know your stories!! Everyone within the Catholic Church called you a heretic but within the Circle of Mage Knights were in fact a person on the side of men!! Don't you even remember!! You helped Sir. Gilbert Asheborne against The Demon Lord Beezlebub!! Why, why have you joined the Cult of Cthulhu?! Why are you attempting to awaken the elder god to this world?!!", Gedeon soon shouted.
"HAHAHAHA, you will never understand Mage Knight!! Your kind think themselves the protector's to men against the forces of chaos! No you do not understand what my true lord wishes upon all Macrosms!!", Cornelius soon stated.

Hopping through the window brought the group back to reality, in the ship's VR section. As Dieter understood it, it was one of the ship's prime attractions. He never bothered to check it out while here, it was always too crowded for his liking. All of the gore and viscera in the area told him that this was a good idea, a lot of people didn't get the chance to escape it when the troubles started. Curiously, slipping back into reality was much easier on the psyche than going on. It made sense from a certain perspective, but still, he expected another kind of shock from the rapid change in scenery. It made him wonder if it was just the affects of the magic on the mind. It would take some study. For now, he was just glad to have his senses once again focusing in on what was truly before him.
"Look sharp, seems we're free of the illusion for now. But I doubt that was all the mage had in store for us."
They pressed on after that word, and lucky for them, no trouble showed up to interdict them. They went down to the engine room and were once again hit by mind magic, or was it something more? The stairs didn't lead off into the bowels of the ship but some kind of stone tower in the middle of an unknown ocean. Its lofty height, odd construction, and the presence of mysterious runes all caught the occultist's eyes. He gave the place a quick sweep, before his focus fell onto the necromancer himself. What really caught him by surprise was the fact he recognized the evil being as a medieval alchemist. Evidently he was much more active in Gedeon's universe, but even in this one, he was hardly a bad man as far as the stories went.
So what went wrong? Perhaps they'd never know. Salvator's inquiry into the subject only seemed to amuse the shadow caster, so Dieter didn't expect he'd have better odds.
"So, we stand on the Tower of Babel itself? Interesting. I thought its tale was a mere allegory, I suppose I stand corrected." The man mused.
It put them in an interesting situation. Was this another illusion, the wizard revealing his plan to them, or were they really there? If it was another boundary zone, he suspected they'd have seen it ahead of time like they did in the hallways. So it probably wasn't that. Yet, wouldn't a portal be even more obvious? It was a bad time to be confused. One thing was for sure, they were where they needed to be. Where exactly that was, did not matter for the immediate moment. A glance upwards revealed to him the portal itself, around which those baleful clouds were swirling. Perhaps spilling out from, as well. It was hard to tell, but he could see vague shapes on the far side of it. Considering the being this man called god, Dieter got the sinking feeling he didn't want to see what was behind that fog, either. Cornelius made this tower sound important, maybe all they would have to do is destroy him and cleanse it to seal the portal? Indeed, if this place was integral to the fabric of reality, too much collateral here could be horrendous.
This was one hell of a predicament they got themselves into. But Gerhardt stood fast against it, true to his name.
"Whatever depraved objectives you have in mind will not come to pass. In our world you were a man of science and integrity, I see that did not hold true for you. Know that you make your counterpart would spit on the monster that you have become, you don't deserve to bear the name." Dieter told him. "You seem to think us weak and defenseless, you are a fool who has already lost. Come and face me if you are done cowering behind your armies of slaves, but know that the power of the Spear of Destiny is very real. The abilities of my allies are no less considerable."
Dieter lowered himself into a combative stand, angled sideways with his primary foot forward and both hands on the haft of the spear.
"Know this, shade: This spear will rend your soul as easily as your flesh. Your immortality ends here, and whatever judgement awaits you shall be answering the summons with interest. We'll see if your god is powerful enough to claim you before the hellfire."
The spearbearer thrust his weapon at the shade the moment he was done talking, this thing didn't deserve a civil discourse. There were two important things to note here. For one, Dieter wasn't lying when he said that this weapon would harm the spirit despite its incorporeal nature. For two, it would also severely hinder his ability to cast magic. Something about this spear had a bad effect on mages. Whether it wounded the spirit and let chi seep out, or if it was the thing holy power's that disrupted evil magics, couldn't be said. The effect was the same, no matter what it was that actually caused it. In particular, whatever school he used last would be the one most affected.
