Alejandro would enter the bridge to find the most gruesome scene, dead bodies would lay all over and a thick chill could be felt within the room. If he turned to one section he would notice the First Mate Fred was headless at the door way. Well the others, looked like they were bloody mess. If Alejandro take a closer look, he would notice that a struggle occurred within the room. Bullet bullets could be seen at different parts of the wall and as well on the computers on the bridge. To Make matters worse even the radio itself was shot into pieces as well. He could be quick to note that whatever attacked them it not only could crush bone and metal, but also able to over power a man. If he continued to investigate he would also notice that whatever attacked them, they never left the Bridge. If he realizes this he would soon hear heavy breathing above as the Ghoul that was the Skipper suddenly come from the shadows and attempt to attack him.
Skipper who was a large man suddenly moving as quick as Scully earlier which itself would look improbable and impossible. His eyes would be glowing bright green as well which would look unnatural to anyone else of this world. One distinctive look for Alejandro to notice, regardless the Skipper was for sure dead as his own body, one could see bone and muscle from his own body. For anyone of this world he would look like a zombie which was normally simply a fantasy.

Meanwhile in the Gambling Hall, the ship itself was recovering from the sudden stop but no one has yet be informed on what was occurring or even an announcement from the crew. That alone would tell those within the hall that something bad was occurring. If they wished they could take a look at the former ghoul though a mangled mess now due to Gedeon's Shot Gun fired into them. As this is occurring they had a few options escape or deal with the situation, though it would require Gedeon and Tamara to explain what was occurring. During their discussion in the dancing hall people were relaxing and sitting as they all recovered, they would soon hear clanking sound. As they would be sitting the sound of something moving and a lot of foot work moving would be getting closer. Suddenly the lights would begin to flicker and only screams could be heard from all the way from the dancing hall.
This left the group of four a few options, go towards the scream to see what was occurring. The other of course head towards the bridge and find out what happening on there. Who knows maybe they could radio help or put out a distress signal? They could of course try to find a way off the ship or really anything else if they so desired. Though one thing for sure, the entire ship is in quite large danger, they could even try to get a hold of Dieter's men who would be below deck where they stored their weapons if they need to be better armed.

Gedeon and Tamara looked at these two, James and Dieter who they just meet. Of course a Mage Knight Gedeon figured how both were acting in front of them. Being asked the first very first question of course had both of them turn to each other.
"Well, you see...", Gedeon turned to Tamara who turned to him in wondering what to say but she turned her head making Gedeon to do the talking now.
That face she always gave was both an annoyance and weakness to Gedeon, why he listened to her?
"This circumstances is not what it looks!! This shot gun for one is not mine, its uhh that guy who is missing an arm and face half eaten off next to the bar there's gun.", Gedeon soon stated as he point at said body.
"Barkeep Jack.", Tamara soon stated as fact which Gedeon soon adds, "Ah Yes Barkeep Jack... who has been here the entire time serving us drinks that makes all living beings happy."
Both would question these two especially how they acted suspiciously and the way they spoke would tell they were hiding 'something'. When hearing James introduce himself finally Gedeon was at a complete loss soon asking, "Who?"
Tamara quickly slapped the back of the head of Gedeon as he stated Who which she soon turns around and takes out a book from her purse.
"WAIT JAMES GRANSELA THE AUTHOR OF "Existences and Imaginations"?! I read your book!! I must say you got a lot right but so much wrong!! But to think one here could come up with such ideas so close to the truth!! I am a fan please can I have your autograph!!", Tamara soon stated as she had her own copy in her hand and suddenly took out a pen out too from same stated purse.
"Oh, that guy.", Gedeon soon nodded as he remember Tamara buying a book about something about that a while back.
He continued to nod then soon shakes his head soon yelling, "Wait wait wait!! We got a situation here and you just want his fucking autograph?!"
"We should tell them Gedeon.", Tamara soon stated as she turned to him.
Gedeon soon thought that alone was a bad idea which he soon hands over the shot gun to Dieter soon saying, "Hold this for me. We will be right back a second."
Gedeon dragged Tamara away off to far enough they couldn't hear, but if their silent enough they could make out what they were saying.
"Wait!! Why should we tell them?!", Gedeon soon stated to Tamara in a forced whisper that was too loud.
"If he wrote that book that means he is more likely to believe our story then others!! Remember Como? He believe us first thing!!", Tamara soon stated to Gedeon.
"That is a totally different situation!! Como's dad got murdered by a fucking troll!! Those are hard to kill and he only believed due to he almost got crushed himself if it wasn't for us!! Not to mention he is special and not like other humans of this world!", Gedeon soon pointed out.
Tamara soon sighs, "True but think we are on this ship and you go and murder some crew member out of no where. Of course they would think your like those terrorist from middle east or something. If its James Gransela who wrote that book then he would have a higher chance believing then most people!! As well the other man is with him possibly he would too!!"
Gedeon soon smacks a Gambling machine a little too hard which then it ejected tokens out of the machine which Gedeon soon replies, "Look, Princess the reason I only did this vacation is because you begged me. We have been stuck here a fucking year and so far only trouble when you have a bright idea. You know how many times I had to save your pretty little neck?"
"Uhh Four?", Tamara soon pointed out.
"Wrong Twelve!! TWELVE TIMES!! If you weren't the last descendant I would of left you high and dry a long time ago!", Gedeon soon pointed out which got Tamara to finally shut up.
Tamara soon turned her head and soon mutters, "Its not like I asked you to do that for me."
Gedeon soon finally made his decision even if its a bad one soon says, "Fuck... FINE. But if I nearly die again your better pay me back when we get back. Your debt is already bordering a national debt so much I don't think even giving me a Mana Powered Aerial Ship would help."
With that both would make their return which Gedeon soon coughs then says, "Alright, we will tell you what is going on but please remember. We are not crazy and all will be revealed in due time. That crew member there came in and attacked he is what we call a 'Ghoul'. Or in the case of you normal people a zombie. Quite undead as undead can get it has superior strength and can easily crush a person in pure brute strength. Unlike what you think they cannot spread, in fact they are possessed by a magical being which itself is made of pure energy what we call mana. The issue is not the Ghouls persay its actually manageable with regular weapons or even as you saw a shot gun. The issue is the thing controlling the Ghouls. We call it a Shade Neromancer or basically a ghost which is a Ghost of a Witch Doctor which probably from the Coalition of Chaos and was killed. Long Story short he is weak to light and its near impossible to kill him without some sort of magical spell or something just as good. For sure we know there is at least one or even two due to how the ship suddenly stopped and how it attacked here. Now here is a situation as one could call from those movies of yours, Uhh Tamara what was it called again what we saw last month?"
Tamara soon promptly answers, "Snakes on a Plane, completely absurd but that is the sort of situation we are in now. Gedeon why did you choose that of all things?"
"First thing that came to mind anyways, so you believe me or not?", Gedeon soon asked the two.
Of course as soon as they would answer they would hear screams from a distance coming from the dancing hall. Now was the time to give their reply, now or never?
"Fuck, it found another host. Tamara, this is why when we dealt with these things we always brought Combat Priests from the Church.", Gedeon soon mentioned to the teenage girl who simply replies, "Catholics here are less reliable you know."
"So noted, instead their child molesters and pussies. Seriously at least the Catholics I knew were far more hardcore and quite actual useful in battle.", Gedeon then finished his comment.

The scene was actually not foreign to Alejandro. It was not because of his chosen profession, but his childhood. The heavy breathing was kinda obvious. Snapping around quickly, his gun up, tracking for a target. Upon seeing the fat undead skipper his gun barked off two shots. Followed by two additional shots. The first set landed whereabouts the heart would be. While the second pierced it's eye and forehead. Overkill for most targets. But the damn thing only rocked it's head back and surged forward.
With the close confines of the bridge, it didn't give Alejandro much time to get anymore shots off. Swinging back, he swung forward with all of his weight behind the his tomahawk. cleaving deep into the dead skipper's neck shredding muscles and cracking bone. But for good measure he unloaded three shots into it's knee cap. It buckled under it's own weight and dropped down like it was kneeling. Giving Alejandro the prime opportunity to retrieve his tomahawk and finish decapitating the dead skipper.
The whole action left Alejandro breathing hard, but he quickly reigned it in and decided it was time to find a way off this boat.

Dieter kept in mind what James had told them of his own predictions before they got into the gambling hall, and similarly, he let the pair within ramble between themselves and to the newcomers. He gladly took the shotgun when it was offered so that Gedeon and his charge could walk off and have a private discussion. It didn't seem like the smart thing to do at all, in a time like this, but the archaeologist got the impression that smart ideas weren't something they were often prone to. Call it a hunch if you will.
"What a curious duo, don't you think?" Dieter asked the writer while they were out. In that time he also checked the shotgun, pleased to find it was loaded. He closed it back up with a *click*, and cradled it in his arm until they had returned.
Upon doing so they had quite the story to relay.
"It sounds to me that these 'ghouls' are just symptoms to a greater problem, then; and it is this necromancer that we'll have to contend with if we want to actually solve the problem at hand. Am I understanding you correctly?" Gerhardt asked. He still seemed a little skeptical, but was willing to trust it. James had helped him with that. He was right, even men on very potent drugs couldn't shrug off gunshots the way those bodies on the way in had. It would also explain the bad feeling they had been harboring since they got on the boat.
Of course, Dieter had his own reasons to believe them, but he didn't exactly move to offer what those were.
"I daresay there aren't many people with magical spells on this boat, Mister Salvator. Unless you're capable, I suppose we'll need an alternative solution." Fortunately they had an expert for this kind of thing, he looked over his shoulder at James. "Doctor, I don't suppose you have any theories as to what could defeat such a 'shade'? It appears that your guess regarding zombification landed close to the mark, perhaps our luck will hold?"
While giving him time to think, he turned back to Gedeon. "You said it's weak to light? How weak? Could a floodlight work, or perhaps fire?"
It was clear that the man had more to say on the matter, but screams from other parts of the ship brought him to silence. He looked out the back door into the darkness to try and see where it had come from, and he clicked his tongue in dismay. "I guess we're about to see if your story checks out first hand. Tell me, is there a limit to how many ghouls a necromancer can possess at a time? I don't enjoy the idea of us four fighting an entire army of superhuman corpses. We either need to find a way to stop it, or to get off of this ship. I'd say go to the bridge and find a radio, but I have the sinking feeling whatever has been fritzing machines has ruined those as well."

"Why, I'm flattered. Not a lot of people read my book to further understand my theories, and I'm surprised to find a fan here that does just that."
He took the pen from the girl and signed on the book that she took out, it wasn't such a rare thing for him, considering he occasionally meet several fans as he travel. However as Tamara seems have a slightly different reaction, he decides to give her a few words to go along with it.
"Words are a powerful tool my lady, these simple combinations of shapes helped created the human civilization and allowed us to record our mind for the future. Don't underestimate this signature, it could become more than just decorations. Here you go, and thank you for your support. If you're interested in more of my theories I won't mind having a conversation over a dinner."
He returns the book back to her, then step to the side as the two strangers goes arguing among themselves. He didn't mind being ignored, as he's able to pick up a few valuable keywords.
"Sure is, if they're not crazy then we might be dealing with some of the more interesting types here."
When the man hits the slot machine, chips went flying everywhere, and he catches one that's heading right towards him which he uses to pause Gedeon as he explains himself by flinging it into his palm.
"I don't know what you know of this, but I refuse to call something like that a zombie or a ghoul. After all, a ghoul is a Jinn, a spirit of the middle eastern myths. If I'll have to give it a name I would call it the Living Dead, or the Raging Corpse. As for magic spell... well, do you know any? I sure don't, and would be quite interested if you can give me some information on them. Otherwise if it's just light, that shouldn't be a problem, just grab a flashlight. It'll be helpful to keep one around too, with the lights flickering on and off just now."
He gave it a bit of thoughts, thinking of what might be effective against such beings. It seems that these 'shades' are merely evil spirits with power, which is a pretty common thing in pretty much all religions and folklore around the world. The living has always been afraid of those in the afterlife, even when they might eventually join their ranks.
"For one, don't be afraid. Any sort of being, be it a wild beast, human, or supernatural beings, their natural instinct will push them to hunt those unwilling to fight back. They will strike the moment you turn your back towards them, so if we have a way to deal with them, I say go for it. If these are spirits, they shouldn't be able to take over the bodies of the living either. A living person still contains their own soul within their vassal, as such it is impossible for another spirit to enter the body. It is true that there were examples that suggested otherwise, however these incident tends to be caused by powerful beings such as well known demons, so I don't think we have to worry about us getting possessed as long as we're up and going. Though of course we won't have to worry about it either if they do, we'd be dead anyways, no way of worried about anything anymore."
He had a few things in mind, like casting away the spirits with the name of the Abrahamic God. However those methods would simply force the spirits back, not kill them off. They could use some sort of relics, but that's not something you could find anything either.
"What about that magic you mentioned? Do you know something about that? If we can use something more than just physical tools then I have plenty of other methods in mind. And I'd suggest you make it quick, before anymore people die. Even if those spirits can't take over the bodies of the living, they'll have a lot more 'lives' if they keep this up."

The attack on Alejandro would be quite violent as he would continuously keep hitting it until it couldn't even move anymore. A normal person would of ran or he freaked out but it seems this man of death was used to this sort of situation. As Skipper unable to move Alejandro would soon noted it would get even colder and a sudden mist would begin to spread within the room. The computer monitors which were still on with begin to flicker violently as mist would get even thicker then what it was earlier. If he would soon notice he would suddenly feel something unnatural appear before him. It was glowing pure green and it looked similar to a monster of a person. It would soon scream and yell in front of him but as soon as emergency lights would turn on near the bridge then suddenly would leave. Alejandro now had many options either he could try to work the radio or simply go back down the hall way regardless of his choices he would soon run into company of the living type.
_____________________________________________________________
As the screams from a distance could be heard the group would begin to move towards the bridge if they so do. If they take a notice dead bodies would be laying over of the crew in intervals, almost like they were all running. Not to mention they could feel that same chill as earlier and the pure darkness would greet them. Suddenly the emergency lights would turn on suddenly, likely from the automated system that was designed in this ship. The Red glow would appear with the hall way that lead to the bridge part of the ship. The group would soon hear a unnatural scream then suddenly stops as the red glow activated. If they continued forward they would be greeted by someone who was not a ghoul before them.

Tamara promptly took the book back from James and held it tight, when he began to try to talk about dinner Tamara soon says, "Maybe... maybe indeed."
"Nope out of the question. No Dinner, no falling for other men allowed Tamara.", Gedeon quickly responded before she could say more.
"Yes Daddy I will behave and never go against your wishes to be with other men.", Tamara replied in a not so good manner.
"Not daddy, your boss and provider.", Gedeon corrected her which he soon turned to Dieter.
"Yes your assumption is quite correct the issue is not the ghouls its just the byproduct of them.", Gedeon soon replied to Dieter.
When James gave his own point on how he was correcting him he soon replies, "Interesting thought, we of the err group I was apart of mostly call them Ghouls for simplicity sake. It gets over complex when you deal with much."
Gedeon almost let it slip of from another world but he stopped himself on that note. For now let them think he is just some group of people in the super natural would be best bet. Of course because he is from another world, many things will slip out due to naturally being born in Imaginary Macrosm.
"As for magic, its a bit complicated and only simply circumstances permit it.", Gedeon stated though he didn't say why or that he didn't have magic only the now he doesn't.
Though hearing of light and fire he wasn't completely off the market.
"Well your flash lights and lighting does affect it. As I seen it gave out a mist and disappeared in it so it does have some effect now for fire we have not tested. So not a complete lost cause.", Gedeon soon stated then hearing going on over not too far.
"I agree with you we better get moving now. I will answer everything else on the way lets get going.", Gedeon soon stated as the group soon moved out as the talking continued.
Hearing about Jinn and other myth which Gedeon listened everything intently which causes him to Tamara saying, "Alright Tamara your right he is useful. Who would've thought there was someone here who knew this much. If only the old man Ptolemy at the Great Library was here he would want to recruit him on the spot.", Gedeon soon stated then Tamara soon says, "Gedeon, mind what your saying outloud."
"Oh right!", Gedeon soon stated as they continued to walk and until both began to wonder about magic which now he had to sort of reveal that much.
"I am only up to Adept within the knowledge but a fully fledged uhh 'professor' here could tell you.", Tamara admitted but didn't say Mage or Mage Knight unlike Gedeon what he was.
"Magic it depends on the situation tools for some others not so much. To Keep this long winded that would take literal years to get through what we are dealing here is specific magic of the Shade Nercomancer. From two Schools or three sub Schools to be precise. The School of Continuity and the School Internalistics, the names actually tell you much but due to broad amount of knowledge. Specifically the Sub Schools of Spiritualism, Matter Manipulation, and finally Animation. To keep this very simple as possible the Sub Schools of Spiritualism and Matter Manipulation is what the Shade Neromancers are. They use the combination of mana to use matter manipulation getting rid of their physical bodies. Normally if you lose your body you simply die and go off to great beyond or heaven whatever you believe in. But due to Spiritualism they have managed to keep their soul in tact by learning that type of shcool of magic. In a way its a form of immortality by dying or simply be undead but has one negative. As the longer they stay like that they slowly lose themselves, so they take hosts to maintain every so often. Thus the so called Ghouls we seen are in fact these hosts they create through animation. The main reason why their so hard to kill due to not because of the body but due to no physical can hurt them. Spells from the School of Energy would be the most effective which has broad range to do so. There is a lot more but we do not have the time nor its the place to discuss Magical Theory."
On hearing about not taking over the living Gedeon soon says, "That is the good news, because of that as long as everyone lives it cannot make ghouls. The issue here is not that living is easy Spade Neromancers can kill people very easily. If we could make a flame thrower we may be able to damage it but it wouldn't be effective as it can make mist and effect your flames. This is why magic is prefer method due to using mana is much easier and efficient. Though its better then nothing due to we don't even got magic."
When they finally arrive near the bridge Gedeon soon stopped noticed how chilly it was and soon comments, "Great, I think we some answers why no message was sent out by the crew."
Looking down he saw a dead body and notice one by one as they walked closer another dead body. Though one by one it was a bloody trail of carnage.
"Well first thing I will say these guys won't be the ghoul. You can tell by their eyes if the glow green its your Ghoul. Now Lets-", Gedeon soon stated until the darkness flashed red emergency lights down the hall.
Before them there was a figure which put Tamara in defensive posture along with Gedeon. He looked closely ready to move on a moments notice but noticed his eyes were not glowing then says, "Well now he is not the Ghoul but someone else. Who might you be?"

The walk was long and the talk was interesting, and the occultist listened to it with attention only divided so that he could scan every door, window, and hall they passed on the way to the bridge. The man moved and handled a gun with the kind of comfort that implied he was no stranger to fighting or shooting, which was useful in their current situation. The disembodied scream in the darkness made him perk up and raise the shotgun, but he lowered it again when it stopped at the exact same moment that the ship's red emergency lights flickered on. The halls were still extremely dim, but it was better than nothing.
"Did you notice that?" Dieter asked, looking to the two men and singular woman in his company. "The scream stopped the moment the lights activated. I think, that our ghostly assailant is still on the move. Somewhere up ahead no less, if my ears don't deceive me; but I suspect he moved now with the power returning."
After making that comment, he let Gedeon continue to speak. Some of what he said made since to Gerhardt, but other parts of it did not. Apparently they had learned about the same thing from very different sources, and it made him extremely curious as to just who this private investigator was. Even if it wasn't obvious to him before, now there was no denying that this man and his sidekick weren't just a simple pair on vacation. They clearly knew a lot, and it pertained to the kind of topics that Dieter very much wished to know. Because of that, he absorbed everything being explained like a sponge, logging all of it in a mental file for later study and recounting.
"Destroying the bodies is enough to render a vessel insufficient for use as a host, I trust? I suppose we could go about dismembering the corpses we come across and systematically run the necromancer down on his potential choices, but that's a fair bit grisly of a task. Don't you think? And I shudder to think of what the authorities would make of such a situation. Let us not forget, gentlemen, that just because we get out of the woods here, we won't be home free. I don't for a moment believe the coast guard of whatever nation we happen to be closest to will believe that we had to hack apart the guests to keep them from being revivified as undead slaves." Is what Mr. Gerhardt cautioned. The man's keen mind was clearly focused not just on the now, but also the then. While they'd have to actually live that long for it to matter, the day would be all the more bittersweet if they were to beat a supernatural foe only to fall prey to mortal law. Poetic, in a sense. But Dieter never really cared for irony.
He also had some things to say about the magic. "In old stories, men could only work magic in specific instances. During times of celestial alignment, after big sacrifices, at holy locations, et cetera. Supposing we do face a wizard, how is it he is able to perform so many egregious feats in such a short time? To the best of my knowledge, there is nothing significant about this strip of sea." He once again turned to James for support. "Unless I'm wrong? In either case, how did he get here, and why?"
'And why', indeed. Dieter's jaw clenched as he suddenly remembered the precious cargo that they were moving. Surely it couldn't be related? Not likely, but many things he had doubted were now becoming reality before his eyes. Very troubling.
As they got to the bridge they came upon a scene of more carnage, and at the heart of it, a man who was still alive. A quick glance revealed that he didn't appear to be hurt, nor did his eyes glow. So it seemed unlikely that he was a member of the undead. It didn't bring Gerhardt to relax just yet, but it was a good sign.
"Sir, are you alright? We're looking for the bridge staff, are you with the crew?" Dieter called out, unlike Gedeon he was actually trying to act non-confrontational and explain why they were here. "We're trying to find out what the hell is going on here."

"Hm, sounds like you're breaking a few employment laws there, but I suppose it's not my concern to be bothered about. Here have one of my business cards, feel free to give me a call if you have the opportunity."
He raised an eyebrow at the interaction between the two, but didn't say anything more about it and moved on to give Tamara his business card. Though in his own opinion he felt like the two acted way more childish than their appearance seems, which made him wonder if some sort of magic was involved to change the appearance of the two. The two also seems to be a pretty loose mouth too, and allowing information to be leaked out to him and Dieter, despite their pretty obvious attempts of trying and failing to keep things secret.
"I'll assume that's a compliment, however I can't say the same for you with that kind of explanation. You explained a bit of what these creatures do, but not even a bit on how they manage to harness their powers. If one doesn't fully understand how a process work, it would be much more difficult to discover ways of dealing with these problems. You mentioned something called mana earlier, what exact is this energy? Something we can find any where like air? Something that are within living animals like blood? Or something more different from any of these? Most importantly, do we have it, can we use it, and how do we use it?"
If he could find the way to learn how to use such powers, it would become an absolute evidence to prove some of the theories he had suggested in the academic world, which means he can finally get rid of those old and worthless fools that had rooted themselves in their positions. Not only that, it would open a whole new picture for him to study and put to use. Perhaps the result change the world as much as Galileo's Heliocentrism. He also interested in what this magic could do, after all his own research and analysis already have contradictions with what the other man has claimed, so it would surely be interesting to compare the two sets of data in detail. He also replied to the worries that Dieter voiced.
"Not necessary. It is true that some culture take much efforts to prepare for ceremonies and the such, however that is not always the case. Some pray to their gods for miracles, while others could simply send all sorts of harm at their opponents with a wave of their hands. Perhaps our assaulter here are more close to the second kind. As for the sea itself... I suppose it would fall under Hawaiian myths, in which cases the undead does not exist. The closest we have would be 'Qaitu', a type of ghost that remains on Earth after death, and causes sickness. But what we've seen doesn't seem to match with that, so whoever it is must have traveled here with other means, perhaps as a regular passenger?"
He did also noticed Dieter's worries about something, which he kept in mind without voicing any concerns. He knew the man had his own schedules, and there's no need for the two to overstep into each others domains.
"I would... highly recommend you not try to burn these living dead, you see this floor we're stepping on? It's wood, just like most other cruise ships. If you light one up, it could possibly spread to the entire ship. I don't know about you two, but myself, my associate here, and all those people outside can't really fly."
As for the new arrival... he found the man to be a bit strange, in a different way from the two here. As they got closer he managed to figure out the reason, and whispers it to Dieter.
"Mr. Gerhardt, you may or may not have noticed, but this man have the scent of blood on him. I'd be careful when dealing with him, there's the possibility that he's the one we're looking for. Even if not, someone that could fight those monsters could be just as danger if he decides to stand against us."
He wasn't a strong man by physical means, which means he often encounter danger in his adventures. However being weak means he is much more careful about those he met, so that he could use his only weapon, his knowledge, to deal with problems. Only the careful ones can keep their ships afloat for thousands of years, if you're careless, you may even sink a boat in the sewers.

Alejandro went about looking the radio over, it was obviously shot, literally with a neat bullet hole. But he pried the cover off the console and began routing around the wiring. Then he heard a man call to him. Snapping his head around, he looked at the group of people now approaching. He'd put away his gun and the tomahawk lay next to the radio, but out of sight from the group.
"They're all dead," Alejandro said, turning back to the radio, he yanked a set of wires free. Then pulled his satchel to the front, retrieving from it his laptop. "If I can find the connection to the ship's main antenna, I can probably radio in an S.O.S., but chances are whatever is happening here won't let us."
Using a utility tool, he stripped the wiring, making a connection directly to his laptop. It wouldn't be the first time he'd been stranded somewhere and needed to "dial home" in an orthodox fashion. That's why he had software and equipment rigged up on his laptop.

The Radio which Alejandro itself was not completely ruined, with much luck. This meant an S.O.S. could be sent out though even if it does come it would day quite a while before rescue could even come. With this he would be successful in getting it to work though, if the Shade come near it could cause much issue to fully work. The group had a few choices in what to do, wait for rescue or attempt to get the situation under control. Below decks people began to one by one be killed by the Ghouls but of unknown amount were on the ship. To Those above deck in the concert wouldn't have noticed anything yet unless they went below deck. With some luck they could be in the right stop. Regardless at the moment no one knows what is occurring on the ship due to no announcement has been made. Though something even stranger would occur, outside the nice calm summer weather began to change. People outside of the concert would soon began to notice that a clouds suddenly began to appear out of thin air.
"Hey what is that...", one of the concert attendees soon stated as the clouds began to appear in the sky and mists began to show around the entire ship.
So thick it began to get closer and closer to the ship, people would be lost on what was coming when suddenly mists came into the ship making everything hard to see. Off to a distance one could hear a scream, then another, people outside began to freak out. People began to panic as they were not sure what was going on. In the sky lightning soon flashed and a rolling thunder which was completely not natural as the mists were glowing green. If the group heard they could hear a screech so painful to the years you would have to cover it. Only those inside would hear only it muffled. Regardless this alone would give enough information to a certain group member who would now know why a Shade Necromancer got on the ship. What should they do go outside where it "was safe" or go deeper in the ship where the Ghouls would be. Regardless of their choice the mist would as well begin entering the ship lights throughout the entire ship would suddenly begin to go haywire and suddenly the power of lights shut down on the entire ship suddenly. One thing though if Gedeon pays attention he would then feel it, something he wouldn't of remembered until it felt like part of missing body came back. Not to mention even Tamara would take notice, it could mean only one thing which would make the situation have some hope.
If they managed to get the S.O.S. out in time before the fog then it would be sent out but when the mist came in it would then suddenly not work well. Interference will be apparent and no way for radio signals could leave this thick mist that was slowly turning into fog.

Gedeon looked at the man before him and took a notice as he put something down. Whoever he was, Gedeon felt he was familar to a type of killer from his own world. Not magical but instinct told him he was someone who killed for a living, a hunch. Regardless he was not the problem, in fact it could be a good thing for them, who better to run into then those kind of people? Perfect to help and give higher chance of survival.
"That sounds complex, but sounds like a better chance now it doesn't solve problem if we don't deal with it soon.", Gedeon soon stated as he looked at the man before him.
"Gedeon? Should we even trust this man in front of us?", Tamara soon stated nervously as she smelled the scent of blood which almost made her sick.
Remembering what occurred with her family earlier as the scent of the murdered, parents and her brothers were coming back to her mind.
Gedeon soon sighs, "Well its either that or we run into the Ghouls which I rather work with someone living with skills. Then having less help, oh for your question Mr. Gerhardt, yes taking off the heads from dead corpses could give less chance of it having a new host. We do got means in keeping ghouls at bay but as Mr Smarty Pants stated its not that is the issue. I am not versed in your uhh laws everywhere but if we do that it would make a bloody mess even worse and potentially give us undo attention."
Gedeon soon wondered what to do, with the crew likely mostly dead further confirmed their dealing with an intelligent type shade, the worst kind which usually have some sort of plan. As he was thinking on what they could do in this situation suddenly he heard rolling thunder and outside the bridge a thick mist began to appear around the ship. What looked even worse from outside the window of the bridge was that the skies began to show a green glow and lighting that looked green before them. It gave him a complete pause and Tamara jumped for a moment being surprised when a sudden clear skies turned into a thick mist, clouds, and that mist slowly turning into fog. It was as well completely unnatural to anyone of this world but to Gedeon he finally figured it all out which made him a bit pale.
"Gedeon... don't tell me...", Tamara soon stated as she recognize this from one of her books she read.
Never seeing it in person in Imaginary Macrosm but knowing it usually meant something bad was happening.
"Well, Fuck. That explains everything and why the Shade Necromancer is here. Of all the places this area gets connected to why did it have to connect to the badlands!", Gedeon soon stated as he was now quite nervous which could be see by anyone.
"For sure? If its that place then... Gedeon we got to tell them everything!! The situation just went from we are fucked into we are doomed!!", Tamara soon stated to him which he was silent.
If the others notice it meant it was time to cough up something and it was vastly important to inform them. Gedeon soon was in deep thought and when he was there he suddenly felt it. A Sensation he thought he would never feel again. It was so familiar yet it was so foreign, and how could it be if he could feel that meant. There was hope, hope to allow them to change everything. He turned to Tamara who also felt it as well which she soon nodded back at him as he turned to the other three.
"Well its time you all got a crash course how magic works. This situation is getting worse by the minute and we do not have the time to get you through what normally takes a decade of schooling.", Gedeon soon stated as he now began to walk out of the bridge and silently wanting all the group to follow him out.
Once back in the hall the lights were flickering throughout the ship but continued to stay on for now. Due to this Gedeon soon began what would be a long explanation but as quickly as he could give.
"Alright first off what you seeing outside is the weather system of what is known as the badlands. A region which is more recent in creation due to it is where the Elder God Cthulhu is slumbering. Twenty Four Years ago the Cult of Cthulhu attempt to reawaken the Elder God that they praise, Though the first conflict was a success on their end he didn't wake up as they thought. With pure luck Mankind had a chance and eventually he was temporarily stopped awakening in the second Elder Conflict by my mentor and master Viscount Ven Avenor "The Spear of the God Slayer" our current best Mage Knight in the Knightly Order of Conjurers. Even now the Mage Knights along with many other gods and magical beings watch the badlands to see if the Elder God Awakens again. Our luck that we got the Arch Angels on our side and many others due to the threat he suppose to the world. I guess its time to tell you now why this all sounds mad and why we are in deep shit now. My name and Tamara's is correct but we lied on who we are."
Stopping for a moment he turned to the group and soon states, "Let me reintroduce myself I am Mage Knight Lancer, Gedeon Salvator the apprentice of Ven Avenor and this here is my charge I was told to protect. The Ashborne Princess of the Mage Knights, the last descendant of the Hero Knight Sir Gilbert Ashborne the man who defeated the Demon Coalition during the Last War against The Demons, and their leader Beelzebub. We are not from this world no we are from another place called Imaginary Macrosm, a world filled with magic and forever connected to your world."
Tamara soon adds, "Sorry for lying we just been hiding here for a year now. We been trying to find a way to get back but so far no dice with no magic and all here."
Gedeon would let them ask questions and he would answer them the best of his ability but then says, "I am not sure how magic would work here, back in our world there is literally hundreds of ways to go about it. The way Mage Knights would normally use energy around us to help supply our magic abilities and increase our cast times. As well not all are the same we tended to use our weapons and armor as a catalyst to go about it which was quite useful for combat. There is many mages and wizards who are completely different so it would require your own way of going about it. There is specifically four schools of magic which all some form or another works with others to create the magic. School of Energy, School of Continuity, School of Internalistics, and School of Meta. Each one broke into literally dozens of sub schools as well but the common ones are, Sub School of Thermal, Sub School of Kinetics, Sub School of Gravitic for Energy. Sub School of Time Magic, Sub School of Teleportation, Sub School of Summoning, Sub School of Matter Manipulation, and Sub School of Probability, under Continuity. Sub School of Animation, Sub School of Mind Magic, and Sub School of Spiritualism, Under Internalistics. Sub School of Magic Manipulation, Sub School of Magic Counter, Sub School of Magic Enhancement, Sub School of Leyline Magic, and Sub School of Artifice, under Meta"
Of course during this he would continue to move forward and now they would truly wonder where he leading them. He had a plan to a degree but he needed the others to be on it as well but he had to explain much first.
"Your all probably wondering why he is telling you all this and suddenly we moving away from the bridge.", Tamara soon stated as she continued to follow him.
"Correct one reason, gentlemen if we do not close the portal that activated itself on this ship, we will soon be running into things far worse then the Shade Necromancer and could threaten everyone here. The reason why I am now telling this now?", Gedeon soon waited then put out his hand and began to concentrate.
'By the Light of the body to give thy power, Into the speed of light and towards a cut of the darkness, Give thy power under you oh great power of the sky, Pass through the darkness and give your light to all, by the thunder by the roar of the sky!! Come Lightning!!', Gedeon soon chanted as suddenly electricity began to come from the lighting from the nearby lights began to come into his palm and form above it. He knew his mental power was weaker then it originally was but, it was there. Now he never thought he could do it again differently from the last time and much much weaker, but it was working, before them Gedeon showed something he thought he would never do so, the mythical magic.
"As... you can see... I got my magic back... sort of...", Gedeon soon stated as he felt like he was using muscles he not for a long time.
"That is the reason, we felt it and sensed it... mana, when that mist began to sppear it was like.", Tamara couldn't explain it well so she turned to Gedeon.
"It's likely, with us connected to badlands mana spilled over and giving us a chance to use it. The only issue here, its not as much as I would of liked.", Gedeon revealed and why he was telling them this?
"Anyone can use magic its within our DNA, like apart of our soul, our very being. All Life is created by mana and is filled with it. Some may be weaker but magic is possible with all. You simply need to think about it, Imagine it and it becomes real. As long you can sense the mana you can use it and the imagination becomes real.", Gedeon soon stated as he stopped his lighting letting it die off as he breath hard.
"Only problem here is, I am not remotely near enough to be a fully capable Mage Knight. It seems this world practically destroyed my mental power when I entered here. I can remember how its done it's just harder to do here and required some help from the lighting, that runs on electricity. Why I am telling you this, I cannot close the portal with Tamara alone we are not near capable of it yet. So I must rely on you who never did magic in your life but might have a better shot due to your from this world.", Gedeon finally finished.
As soon as they would give their answer the entire cruise ships light suddenly turned off around them.
"Great.... just great... that wasn't my fault.", Gedeon then stated.

The news of the bridge crew being dead didn't surprise Dieter much, considering the dead man in uniform on the floor. He gave a single nod at that, and rolled the first officer over to be sure he was dead. The lack of anything above the neck pretty much confirmed that no ghouling would happen here, so he left it at that. He kept his distance from Alejandro, but moved into the bridge to check on the rest of the computers controlling the ship. The ones responsible for driving it in particular. While not very computer savvy, Dieter was smart enough to know how to boot the system up.
It didn't so much as give him a screen flicker.
"It appears that the entire ship mainframe is kaput as well." Dieter said to the man on the radio. "I'm no technician, but I'd bet more advanced systems are hit all the harder by this...unusual phenomena we find ourselves in. Even if we could boot it up, it's likely locked tight to prevent hijacking. In any case I don't think we have time to attempt a repair at the moment."
Saying that he moved back to rejoin the rest of the group. He mostly kept watch while the S.O.S. briefly went up, only to be cut short by the appearance of a freak thunderstorm. Not entirely unknown when at sea, but the odd green tinge the clouds sported was enough to convince Gerhardt that this wasn't anything normal. Not at all.
The piercing shriek from outside only confirmed it. Keeping a hand on his shotgun, the other went to his left ear while the right was pressed against his shoulder to drown out the worst of the noise. Even so, his face twisted up in a pained grimace until it had ended.
With that said, Dieter followed along on the mage knight's heels as he walked and talked, giving them a massive exposition on things that sounded utterly crazy. Some of it he recognized. Such as Cthulhu. The archaeologist was a fan of last-century's writers and he had read the Mythos from which that god sprang, but he spoke as if it were a real thing? And other dimensions? It strained even Dieter's skepticism, regardless of what was going on around them. Yet it was hardly a new concept. Scientists had been talking about that kind of thing for decades, so who was to say? But this was all academics, more James's field than his. What really caught his eye was the final manifestation of magic at the very end, a ball of seemingly pure electricity.
"Mein Gott." He exclaimed, taking a step back. It was a hell of a sight, but he composed himself quickly all the same. This wasn't the time nor the place for spectacles and awe, they were in grave danger and it was only getting worse.
"Ahem. While I appreciate the explanation, Gedeon, I think that this is not the time for lengthy history lessons. More so if what you are saying is true, and we're dangerously close to a portal to another world. It's growing more apparent by the moment that time is of the essence, I'm sure we can agree on that." He began. "So let us get to the bottom of some important topics. This portal: How do we even find it, can it be seen with the naked eye? When we find it, how do you intend for us to be able to close it when we do? I'm uncertain how you can think we have a better chance than you do, someone evidently trained to weave spells."
With that request for more intelligence thrown out, he moved onto his own ideas. "I came aboard this ship with some associates, whom are still below deck. I have the utmost confidence in their ability to stay alive despite the adversity. Of interest to you all is that we also brought with us equipment. Unless we're to fight a ship full of monsters, and potentially worse things as Gedeon put it, with only one gun to go around between 5 men, I am of the mind that we will want those weapons."
This is of course assuming that Alejandro keeps his own piece concealed on the points between their meeting and now, so that Dieter wouldn't know about it. Amend the above accordingly if he isn't be secretive.
"In any case I don't intend to leave anyone behind, so that is where I shall be going, alone if that is to be the situation. However, I will also say, I believe that being 'proactive' in dealing with this ghoul problem may be in our best interests. Offense is usually a good defense, and we may prove able to disrupt this necromancer's plans in doing so. Perhaps we'll come upon that portal on the way, or something else that can be of use against the necromancer. I'm certain there are floodlights somewhere in the maintenance sections, amongst other things." Gerhardt also speculated while waiting for them to make their decision on where to go. Just beneath his nose was a narrow mustache, which he stroked with gloved fingers to help him think of how he would make his way through enemy territory back to his group's cabin. A conundrum to be sure, but problems existed to be overcame. Also on his mind was the assurance that they could perform magic. The explorer knew that first hand, but this entire thing felt out of his element. His magic was also very ritualistic, well prepared and the like. 'Snap casting' was something he had thought impossible, true myth.
But as James told him, other cultures believed it was possible. Apparently, Gedeon thought so too. Maybe the presence of mana here would be the deciding factor? They would have to try it, but for now guns were something that he knew intimately and could rely on. That remained his plan A.
Furthermore. Since they hadn't been introduced, he'd also give his name to Alejandro at this point now that he had time to talk. Dieter didn't particularly care what he did or didn't do, but at the moment the best idea would seem to be keeping together.

James paid much, much attention to what Gedeon was saying. Although it felt like it was just an explanation of another event, he quickly noticed the differences between the history that the other man mentioned, and those that are recorded in different materials. Although there are similar terms between the two worlds, there are much more that conflicts with each other.
"Cthulhu, badlands...? R'lyeh? Cthulhu's not an elder god, if it is then it would be somewhat friendly towards humans... Cthulhu is a Great Old One, the ruler of the elements of water.... so that means..."
He ignored all those background from Gedeon, as his personal title or history means nothing in another world, assuming what he said was true. However then comes the description of magic, it gets him to wonder why are the magic split up into classes? Do they have any practical reason other than just for convenience? What are the history behind these schools? And how are magic truly categorized? But one thing they tell him is... Gedeon still did not explain how to use the magic, although that can't be helped. You cannot expect someone who can walk to explain to someone without legs on how their muscle feels when one walks.
And finally, Gedeon mentioned mental powers, which is the last piece of information that James needed before forming his own understanding of the subject. As he figured that out, he suddenly stopped follow the group, and stood in place. He looks down at his hands as he closes them into a fist, then opening back up again, he repeats this action several times before looking straight forward again with determination in his eyes. Taking a slow, deep breath, he opens his hand, stretching it towards the side, reaching out as far as he can.
"Remainders of souls heed my orders! Let the sparkles of life flashes under the guidance of my words! For I give you shape, for I give you strength, for I give you life! Let your shape form your existence! Let your strength form your might! Let your life form the light that makes reveals the world!"
He stood there, yelling out phrases at the same raised volume. With each line spoken, he feels something passing through him, giving strength to his words. Just like what he has said to Tamara, words have power within them, that's why it is through words that he can harness such powers. As he continues, small bits of white light starts to surround him, and flow around him along with gusts of wind. However he in the middle does not seem to be affected by the wind at all, as if the eye of a typhoon where the wind is completely calm. His mention of shape created dots and lines in the air and slowly forms the shape in his mind, next shape gave it colors, and lastly, it seems to have became something more solid rather than just a picture.
"Call Servant! Will-o'-the-wisp! Come forth and lighten my path!!"
And that is exactly what happens next, a small ball of white, glowing flame appears. If you look carefully in the center of the fire there are even a pair of black dots, which seems to be the creature's eyes. The wisp doesn't give off any heat, as shown when James reach over to try and touch it, and seemingly have a texture that is similar to upward moving gas. After the casting, James doesn't seem to have any side effects from the casting, and simply turn back towards the group after investigating the creature that he had summon.
"I thank you for telling me how you cast magic and gave me an example, but unfortunately it seems you only use it as a tool, without a true understanding of how the art works. Allow me to give you, your friend Tamara, Mr. Gerhardt, and our new arrival a short and more understandable lesson on how magic works."
He takes out a small notepad from his pockets and quickly drew up a few things with a pen, then use it to explain to everyone.
"From what Mr. Salvator had shown us, and from the information that he mentioned so far, I have drawn the conclusion that magic is a harness of the energy of mana using the thoughts and imaginations of a person. When I mean imagine, I don't necessary mean just thinking of the appearance, but using one's knowledge to build what they hope to cast just like lego blocks. You have to give the magic an image, an effect, and enough mana to bring it to life, that's how I understand it to be. The casting spell itself does nothing, nor is the spells shared by everyone, it is merely a mean to hypnotize yourself. Just like cheering on others during sports, you are using your words to inform your mind of what you believe in, reinforce it, so that you have the confidence to bring to the real world. Your imagination is the image you want to paint, mana is the painting tools, and the world is the drawing board."
He then wrote down some notes about the contradictions between his own knowledge and what Gedeon mentioned about the mythologies.
"The reason why Mr. Salvator here can't use magic as well, is likely because he's not of this world. See, he had gotten used to using magic in his own world, thus having trouble fitting to a new method of using magic. Using painting as example, it is like he is used to create CG art but never tried drawing by hand, even though he had art experience it would be more difficult for him to draw with the two painting tools. You see the wind that surrounded me earlier? That's how I imaged my casting, while Mr. Salvator didn't seem to have anything of his own, that trouble of imaging could also be a reason why he is unable to fully harness his power."
He gave a suggestion on Gedeon's condition, which seems to be the main difference between the two magic castings, that the two belong in a different world. That said, they were using different kinds of magic, that could be a reason too.
"Lastly, from the history lessons Mr. Salvator gave us, I notice that much of them have differences between what we know here. For one Cthulhu is not an Elder God, Elder Gods have a more friendly view towards human, if only a bit. It is a Great Old One that rules over the elements of water, and is currently asleep in the sunken city of R'lyeh, at least that's how the mythology goes. From this we can conclude that the two shares similar terms, but have much difference in how they are actual like. If Mr. Salvator do more research about the history and mythology of this world, he might be able to have a different understanding of this world, leading to better efficiency in casting magic."
He then turn towards Dieter and the other man who did not introduce himself, with confidence that his theories are true and correct.
"No one person in the world shares the exact same thoughts as another, so I cannot fully inform you on how to imagine your magical powers. However I can suggest that you focus your image on how you see magic is like, and input it into your daily life so you can imagine it with ease. If you can easily image the magic, you won't even have to cast spells, just picture the magic in mind and it should form."
And that's it for Professor Gransela's magic lessons, should be more than enough for most people to figure out how to cast magic assuming they know about its existence.
"For now with Wisp here providing us with light, we should have no problem against those evil spirits, so I say to take the opportunity to go meet up with Mr. Gerhardt's men. We might be able to find something more useful in our own belongings too if we return to our rooms."
The Wisp, hearing its master's words, begins to circle around the group in order to provide light. As it move, it would leave small amounts of powder that provides a small bit of light, and reflects the light of its main body, providing enough light so everyone can see clearly if they decide to head else where.
"However I recommend we travel in one group, if we split up in this darkness we might get ambushed by more of those living dead, certainly not something we would want to experience. Well then, shall we go everyone?"

"You don't need to trust me," Alejandro remarked to Tamara's words. "You can all go your own way and I can go mine." His expression was impassive.
However upon hearing Dieter speak of a cache of weapons, he nodded to his words. "You seem to be the most sensible of the group. I'll follow you."
However then other man began stammering out some phrases and making quite a spectacle. A spectacle that reached it's zenith when a ball of white flame appeared. It wasn't just flame, it seemed to be alive.
Alejandro felt a slight inclination to draw a weapon on the man, but then the man went into a lengthy speech about magic and someone named Mr. Salvator. When the man finished, he found himself doing something he'd done perhaps once or twice in his life, he crossed himself.
"Lead on," Alejandro said with a nod. Only now he drew his pistol and grabbed his tomahawk.
