"Technologies back then are built to last. I've seen some technical data before in my past journey, things we have not can't compare with the stuffs they made. Come in huge numbers too, which benefits hunters like us."
James was clicking around to check out the vehicle's C-Unit, the central computer system that replaced much of the work needed to get a vehicle running, and realize these bikes could be a lot more useful than he originally thought a few moments ago. With a few links of command typed in, the front of the motorcycle opens up, and from it extends a 7.7mm Machine Gun. A weapon like that is not exactly powerful in terms of what kind of weapon that many vehicles and their owners deploys, but it's enough to do some decent damage to their target.
He then follow the biker up and stops next to them, passing them three Rocket Fireworks each, it's going to give them some advantage even though they lack much powder in them.
"Mazhe, check your C-Unit. If your bike is the same setup as the one I got, it's got a gun in it. With two machine guns it'll be a lot easier dealing with that Shark... though, being mounted on the front might limit our shootings to when we charge fight at it, dangerous but better than nothing. Zeccika with that thing you might want to get as close as possible, perhaps then it'll be enough to punch through that layer of shell. If not then see if there's the pellet kind, aim for the eyes or something."
At Mazhe's reminder, James looks back at the scraps in the building. Too bad they don't have some ways of melting them, or else they could stuff it into the storage compartment of the bikes. Either way with the shark still rolling around it's going to be hard trying to take those back, they may as well come back later and hope it's still there.
"If you break off a piece maybe you can use it like a shield, or come back later for them when we took care of business. I think we can ride double with the bike so that could be a choice. I'd let Sarah or Lilia take the spot but considering we're gonna have to charge towards the Shark it's not that great of an idea. We'll be slower riding as doubles too, so keep that in mind."
After getting everything straighten up, the team heads back outside, and waits before the slope back up to the desert. There were a few Sand Ants crawling around for a bit, but these once decided to simply stay out of the way when the group approached, and disappears back into the sand. Once everyone is ready, James charges ahead with his bike and goes straight up the slope, making a small jump after he finishes the ride upwards. Just as he expected, the Sand Shark's fin is right on the spot, and seems to be moving towards them as soon as James lands. In order to buy sometime for the rest of the group to climb back up, he makes a sharp turn and starts zooming away from the sinkhole, so that the Shark would chase after him instead.
[WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE: 2000G -SAND SHARK-]
Now with a set of wheels under him, James could use more of his techniques as a hunter, swirling left and right at the best moment to avoid the Shark's dives. When he found an opening, he made a quick turn and fires his harpoon gun right at the Sand Shark. The shot misses slightly, and ends up caught between the Shark's teeth. Now there's two problems at hand, one is that he'll now have to constantly stay near the Shark if he wants to keep his weapon, and two, the Shark might dive under the sand. Thinking of that, the shark did just that, but James had his own idea in mind. He quickly drove in the opposite and with a small jump, bumps the harpoon back out. The shark however got a bit annoyed at what he just did, and continues to chase after him.
Mean while, Sarah and Lilia(who recovered) finishes climbing up the sloop, and find the other three robots also waiting for the group in an ambush. The Vulcantula had been damaged by Sarah's attack early, so the smoke allowed the group to notice it beforehand. Before they reach the top, Sarah grabs two of the Rocket Fireworks, and hurl them towards the group of enemies. They did not hit directly so it did little damage, but was enough to stun them for a moment and knock them out of formation, giving the party the opportunity to get up and fight.
The only robot that count react was the tougher and larger Scorpion Gun, which was heavy enough to not be knocked aside or take much damage, it began crawling towards the group to attack. The scorpion targets Zeecika, the human that it was planning to attack before they fell into the hole. Its two pincers opens up to reveal a pair of nail guns inside them, and begins to fire several shots towards the Martial Artist.

As Zeccika listened to James talking about the past she already knew about due to her father from his own stories. Of course pre destruction itself was a treasure in anything and if her father was here would want all the scrap laying around. Alas he was not and partly best he wouldn't since she picked such a dangerous job out of her league. As the others were prepped to move out Zeccika soon did final check on the shot gun until it was time to go. As she exited out James began to engage the Sand Shark, which James managed to knock back the enemies away to give them time. Alas Zeccika's poor luck continued as the Scorpion Gun came for her. Putting its pincers which began firing nail gun at her she quickly moved fastest she could and used the sand as cover the best she could to stop the nails coming for her. She had to move and as she was she began to breath in a certain way preparing for her counter attack.

Mazhe followed James's instructions and hit a few buttons on the dashboard of his bike until it, too, deployed a machine gun. Fairly small caliber for a vehicle weapon, smaller than what some assault rifles chambered, but this wasn't the time to look gift horses in the mouth.
"It's tricky," he agreed regarding forward-mounted guns, "but you'll get used to it. Think of yourself as a lancer, you have to make attack runs. Not as dynamic as one of your tanks, but it has its edges."
With that bit of advice he was ready to follow him out of the police station and the sand bowl, which he did. Mazhe tore up and over the ramp a few seconds later after letting James go first, which resulted in him baiting out the shark and getting it on his tail. The biker moved to get up behind the bounty and follow it while it was trying to eat his ally, staying far enough back that he'd have time to change course if it abruptly stopped. While James couldn't get a good shot with the mounted guns, he could and did. Like a WWI era plane in a dog fight, he rode the mutant's ass hard and relentlessly peppered it with bursts of machine gun fire into its back. The placement of the automatics was no problem to him due to his skills as a rider, he was already perfectly adept at how to line up good shots.
This put the shark in a disadvantageous position. If it turned to focus on Mazhe, then James could take up his spot and start laying into its rear instead. For now he didn't use any of his skills because he wasn't sure how it'd react to finding itself in a 2 vs 1. Cornered animals were always the most dangerous, so better to save his energy until he knew what kind of response it'd make.
The other two members on foot moved up along with Sarah, Lilia, and Zeccika and took cover once they were over the top. Dyson opened fire first with his own rocket firework, launching it at the scorpion gun that was shooting at the martial artist since his crossbow likely wouldn't do much to the armor-plated insect. Rodriguez already had his pistol out and started to send rounds at the weakened vulcantula that was still smouldering. Damaged as it was, that thing could still really hurt someone if it got revved up before they finished the job.

Thanks to biological limits, the Shark did not notice the second opponent until some bullets tore at it's rear, where the shell were thinner and less concentrated. However it does have the advantage of being its own body, rather than relying on something else for movement, as it suddenly make a sharp turn without warning. The Sand Shark did it with very little signs of its reactions, finishing the turn within a second or two, and dives at the other bike instead. This time the Shark was a bit more clever, it splashes into the sand when it was getting close to its target, before jumping right towards Mazhe for what it hopes to be a killing strike.
"Lancer... was it? Attack runs, so just like when Sarah had that bike..."
James noticed that the Sand Shark had abandoned the idea of chasing after him, so now it's his turn to move on the offensive. He himself also makes a sharp turn, careful to not to slid on the sandy terrain, and charges right at the Sand Shark. He fires his mounted gun towards the Sand Shark's exposed belly as it attempts to jump and attack Mazhe, which did even more damage, forcing the mutated fish to start showing signs of fatigue and injuries.
The Scorpion Gun took another hit from the firework and a few more bullet shots, however it maybe smaller than the Sand Shark, it is definitely not soft. The hard armor managed to protect the robot by only having a few dents where the bullets hit, and the firework could not manage to punch through its armor just like what happened earlier. It continues to fire towards the Martial Artist, ignoring the other groups of humans, but its AI did notice how she is able to avoid the nails. The answer it came up is to add more guns to it, the Scorpion Gun's tail opens up into a small cannon that is of inferior size than the Cannon Hopper, and fires a few shots near Zeccika to disrupt her movements. Not only that, it began to get closer in order to have more accurate shots, and fires more nails from it's pincers. It knows that if any of its shots managed to have a clean hit, it's opponent would weaken or even die from the attacks, so suffering a bit of armor damage won't be a bad trade.
The Vulcantula was finished off by Rodriguez, not in shape to continue battle in the first place, and wasn't even designed for mobile combat. Along it could do little more against the attacking adventurers, and deactivates after taking more shots directly.
"Rodriguez! Dyson! Incoming!!"
Mean while, as Sarah joins in with the others in shooting at the Scorpion Gun, she suddenly realize something, that the Cannon Hopper was missing from its spot a moments ago. Looking up just in time to see it had vaulted itself up into the air, and firing several shells right towards Rodriguez and Dyson, hoping to get them with a direct attack while everyone are busy fighting its allies. Lilia, who have little ways of fighting the robots, moves into provide some support.
"Powdering Art~♫"
From a short distance away, Lilia throws some sort of shiny powder at Dyson as a part of her skill. The powder that she uses are not just some powder for make up, but rather refined, grind armor plating that are designed to stick to and protect the person that had it applied to them. Hopefully this would be enough to provide some degree of protection against the coming shell fire.

Zeccika continued to move away from the Scorpion Gun as her movements as her movements were distrupted she soon continue to move away from it. With no way to fight back she continued to fall back the best should could do.

Now naturally, the Rider had been expected something like this to happen. No doubt unleashing those MG's would paint a bigger target sign onto him than the guy just shooting spears. So when it came twisting around to get him, he was prepared for it. What Mazhe wasn't prepared for, was it to try and fake him out with a feint-jump before actually going in for the kill. So he dodged to avoid the first strike that didn't come with a quick change in course, leaving him seemingly open to attack for the second.
This was where his expertise in using bikes came in. The sand shark lunged at him and he turned his bike hard, leaning on it until the floorboards were almost parallel to the ground so that the sediments would let his motorcycle slide. It was a kind of controlled skid, very dangerous. The bike and its occupant passed under one of the mutant's fins with inches of clearance to spare, almost getting lethally clothes-lined by that after avoiding its body and mouth in the first place. Yet, it got him out safely on the other side despite the fact he had to right himself by kicking off of the ground and leaning hard in the opposite direction.
That almost certainly took up most of his turn so he simply tried to take the bounty on a ride by bolting forward at high speed from there, the engine revving as it was pushed hard.
The humans on foot, meanwhile, were so tied up with the two obvious threats that they had lost track of the final, agile robot. At the warning of 'incoming' they were already snapping their heads upwards and figuring out how to save their asses. The singer obviously had an easier time of that than the the doctor, whom was older for one thing and had his cybernetics up top for two. Luckily he was covered with a layer of ablative armor from the other artist prior to the airborne attack hitting. Imanol dove out of the while while Dyson hunkered down and used his robotic arm to cover his head and face. Sharpnel pinged off of him and the powder, though he still took a few cuts and burns from the blast, as did his partner to a lesser extent.
Both immediately fired back once it had landed, laying into it with their pistol and crossbow respectively. The doctor aimed for its fragile-looking legs where his bow would be more effective, Rodriguez just shot at it in general.

The Shark continues to amaze everyone with it's wits, after noticing the killing strike failed to make contact, it stopped itself long enough for a strong swing with it's tail. James, who could not slow down as quickly, gets hit and is sent flying. As soon as he took the hit, James instantly armed his Harpoon gun, and fires it at the Shark's tail. The harpoon's chain stopped his flight towards the stars, and the points caused a gruesome wound to the Shark's tail, sending dark brownish blood everywhere as the Shark attempts to get loose. The hit however, knocked apart all the armor plating on James' bike, so he'll have to be very careful as they continue.
With it's tail suffering heavy injuries, the Sand Shark is moving much slower, but looks to be angry at the pain. It began to thrash around near the two bikers, trying to hit both of them, but James had already retrieve the harpoon and moved a safe distance away. Seeing that, it begins to move towards Mazhe, but at a noticeable drop in speed, so the biker actually moves faster than the fish.
Mean while, the Scorpion continues to move forward, step by step without any signs of change in speed or tactic. And that's because it was planning for this all along, as Zeccika gets directed towards the planned location, another Cannon Hopper suddenly pops up from the sand in front of her in a pincer formation with the Martial Artist in the middle. The Cannon Hopper fires right at her, but slightly different from the other robot of its kind, as it was not with a regular shell. Coming right at Zeccika is a shell that bursts into a large number of whitish materials, rock salts, that are plenty in the area thanks to it being a former ocean. The salts fly right at her like a buckshot would have done, with less piercing powers, however could do a large numbers of cuts with their sharp edges. Not only that, if they managed to embed themselves into flesh, the salt would certainly add on to the already horrifying pain.
After the bursts of salt passes through, they are then met with a regular shell from the Scorpion Gun, which exploded and sends the rock salt right back at where they came from in smaller pieces. This would mean double the amounts of cuts and would come from both directions in just a split second, making it not only more painful but even harder to predict and avoid.
Sarah and Lilia was unable to assist the martial artist, since in order to avoid the Scorpion, she had moved off to a further position from the rest of the group. This is of course caused by the coordination of the enemy robots, but also from her lack of combat experience. They did however move into range, and begins firing at the scorpion to distract it, which caused it to turn around and ahead towards them instead. They took the same deal, nails and shells, which the two more experienced adventurers reacts by luring it back towards the rest of the group. When it show signs of giving up, they would again spring into the offensive to keep the targeting on them as they fall back.
Mean while, the two cyborgs are doing well against the lone Cannon Hopper. The robot was hit several times in the joints, which knocked it look and caused it to lose balance, falling on the sand. It then took a few more bullet shots, damaging it's turning ability, which caused it to fire right at the ground and blew itself up in the progress. One less enemy to deal with, but now the Scorpion has returned to the area and would have to be dealt with as well.

As Zeccika moved she soon realized her own mistake and curses under her breath on such a mistake. Without realizing she now was caught in a very bad predicament as the incoming rocks hit her as her body began to be cut up bit by bit. Luckily it wasn't enough to cut her limbs off or out right kill her but enough to make her bleed. Some of it managed to penetrate still as the pain hit her hard as she fell backwards from the force of the attack. By sheer luck and help of the others did managed to save her life. As she managed to push her self in intense pain she soon got her shot gun and began firing toward the Cannon Hopper being the one attacking her. After all if it can take it out then its possible to managed the scorpion gun easier. She knew she had to move so she moved closer to the group though much slower then she was beforehand. Blood could be seen coming out of her clothing and all over the sand. She quickly was about to take a pill but soon stops short realizing she needed to clean herself later she instead pocketed back into where it was. and continued to fight back.

It wasn't hard to avoid the shark's wild swipes with the head start he had on evading it, but it seemed that despite eating another harpoon, it wasn't finished with the rider yet. He noticed it dropping back into place behind him via a rear view mirror.
"Persistent," the man said to himself while pondering what to do. A lot of explosions could also be seen back towards the sand bowl, but without radios, he had no way to tell how his team were doing. The bike had one, but their group didn't have any handhelds for him to reach. Mazhe concluded that he would just have to trust that they could handle it, while he handled this.
The rider began to peel off at a curving angle that would eventually level out to have him going perpendicular to how the bounty was moving. This would mean if it turned to come at him, it'd once again let James shoot it in the ass; though, this was a fringe benefit and not the actual purpose. He took the shark for a ride maybe a quarter of a mile away going straight before he pulled another harsh turn, leaning hard on his bike and pulling it around in a boot-leg turn to leave him facing the beast following him. At that moment he gunned the engine, giving it all it had and bolting forward on a direct intercept course.
The engine wasn't the only thing doing the gunning. Mazhe gave a loud holler of a war cry while letting his automatics blaze, firing precise bursts at rapid intervals as he focused wholly on his bike and the shark, shutting out everything else around them. It was a tactic similar to a certain samurai's philosophy in dueling, to focus on only your sword and your opponent's - nothing else mattered. The ability to act so cool under pressure was what made it possible to launch this Stormy Raid, because he knew he could trust his instincts and muscle memory to guide him.
The machine guns blazed the entire way with the man refusing to veer off course, so much so it appeared that he would crash right into the hulking mutant ahead of him. He would have too, had he not swerved at the last moment to hit a sand dune and launch him into the air over top of it. While doing that he thrust his sword downward and attempted to carve into the shark's body on the way over. Whether he hit the ground or landed on the creature's back, he'd keep rolling, now moving away from it.
Needless to say this was exceptionally dangerous, so he hoped that the wanted monster was at least distracted enough by it to not give him a tail-trashing as well, because it'd be almost impossible to avoid it. Good thing he wasn't riding alone just in case.
-
Mazhe's teammates celebrated the death of the cannon hopper, but the festivity was short lived by a feminine scream of a loud enough pitch to cause both their heads to crane in Zeccika's direction. Another one of those bastards had got the drop on them, and apparently it and the scorpion decided to team up on her. The latter was lured away now, but even at distance they could see dark crimson on her clothes and sand below.
R: "Doc!"
D: "I see it. Cover me!"
R: "Aye aye."
The two surged forward with more bravery than a pair of hired guns probably would be expected to display, so there must be some morality left in this god forsaken world. Rodriguez slammed another speed load into his 6-gun while moving, no sooner closing the chamber than using it to pepper the artillery robot. He stayed a healthy distance from his ally, whom was moving towards the martial artist.
"Kiss my ass you hunk of junk!" the cowboy called out to it in a taunt. He had no idea if those things understood language or not, but hey, couldn't hurt to say what was on everyone's mind even if not. His attacks weren't very accurate because he was mostly just trying to get it's attention and then prepare for the hopeful counterattack it would make at him rather than finishing the job of Zeccika.
The doctor, meanwhile, hustled over to the girl and drug her behind still-smoking carcass of the vulcantula. The man had her condition analyzed in seconds and he went to work trying to solve it in a few more. Rock salt, Dyson didn't expect that. There was nothing he had on hand for that so he'd have to improvise.
"Hold still, if you move, you'll just drive these crystals deeper into your flesh," he cautioned her. He worked on cleaning out the wounds so the salt couldn't continue to abrade her body and exacerbate the situation, doing this mostly by flushing the cuts and picking out the larger chunks. In better circumstances he'd like to stitch the now-cleaned lacerations closed, but since they didn't have nearly the time for that, he tore her shirt to bandage them up instead after applying a topical painkiller. She'd likely feel better at the end of this Fierce Curing, so much so she might not even need to take the healing pill now.

The Sand Shark was taking more and more hits, and realize that it is getting weaker and weaker, so it hopes to end the battle soon or at least be able to escape. Seeing the Rider charging towards it presented an opportunity, possibly the only one it might get, and have no choice but to take it. Charging forward with as much speed as it can mutter at its current situation, with only one goal in mind, to charge out of the area with or without a kill. Lowering its body to increases the chances for survival, it attempts a charge that is similar to those of a bull, using its size difference to go right towards its opponent. Even with James firing at it from behind, the powers of the bullets were reduced partly by the shell, stopping them from achieving a killing blow.
As the Sand Shark withstand the bullets, and attempts a charge, it suddenly realize the disappearance of the human in front of it. Deciding to not pursuit it, and simply run(swim) for it's live, a sharp pain was felt by the Shark as Mazhe drove his sword into the fish's head. The blade continues to cut through the shark's body as Mazhe flies above it, so it attempted to move to knock away whatever it was above its body, only for the blade to drive right into it from the combined forces. The slash leaves a wide gashing wound, and drains the rest of the strength of the once powerful creature. It begins to slow down from the lack of strength, not wanting to simply go like that, it gave one last jump out of the sand. In the air, spilling blood everywhere from its wounds, the Sand Shark crashes into the sand for the last time and lets out one last roar before it closes its four sets of eyes.
James slows down and looks at their lifeless opponent, approaching it slightly to make sure it's not trying to play dead or something, before turning and waves at Mazhe to show it's safe. They have done it, obtaining their first Wanted kill, and along that comes the prize money from the Hunter's Organization.

The Cannon Hopper was forced to turn towards the more threatening target as Rodriguez approaches and shoots at it, taking a few hits, it was about to fire a shell when Zeccika began her attack. A second later something unexpected happened, as the robot launches the shell, some of the coming bullets manage to hit it. The shell exploded right in the cannon's barrel, and soon caused a chain reaction to the cartridge, generating enough force internally to turn the artillery robot into scrap.
"Lilia, I'll take the head."
"Gotcha, I'll go for the body then!"
Sarah and Lilia was trying to deal with the Scorpion, which had the problem of not enough fire power to damage it. The two had a plan, first they spread out to distract it, seeing that it doesn't seem to be able to fight well against multiple targets. The two circles around it until Lilia, the less threatening one, gets to around 3 o' clock from the Scorpion's position. The two then charges towards it from an angle, forcing the Scorpion to try to turn and hit one of the two humans before it, only to find that it was unable to turn as fast as the two could approach it. It had to make a choice, to focus on one of the two targets, which means it would be targeting the more threatening one. It turns back towards Sarah after making that decision, but found that she is already in a fairly close range. Sarah's angle stops the Scorpion from attacking with it's left pincer, which means it's down to using the other two weapons. The nail gun can't seem to hit her, so next it attempts to move it's tail in order to fire the cannon inside. When it was about to fire, the Soldier sharply changes her angle right towards the Scorpion, narrowly avoiding the shell that flew towards her.
Now that they're close, the Scorpion could only attempt to move and try to bat at the two humans with its pincers, kind of like a crab hammer type of deal. However it won't get that chance, the two nods at each other and prepares to attack. They gathered their strength, and with a loud yell each delivers a high kick at the Scorpion. Normally, it's reckless to kick at an armored target like that, but this was not just a regular kick. Aura surrounds the two as they launch their attack from different directions, enough to weaken some of the force that gets sent back towards them on impact. The kicks hits the Scorpion, and sends it into the air, flipping it a few times as it drops back down. Of course, it'll be impossible to just destroy the robot like that, but it did cause it to land on it's back and unable to get back up.
The Scorpion then gets shot at by Sarah, with weaker armor on the bottom and unable to move, it could not do anything but lay there until the bullets finally punch through its armor and deactivates it.
With the last combatant defeated, the adventurers have finally ended the battle as the victors. Scrap metal lays here and there from the destroyed robots, surrounding the Sand Shark's remains as a sign of their victory. Now they'll have to decide on what to do with the shark, and finally to return for their reward.
If they happen to go ahead and carve the Sand Shark's remains, they would find several items. One is the Shark's tough hides, although quite damaged from the battle, the adventurers would be able to gather enough to create a set of jacket to be used as armor. The hides should be hard enough to resist some degree of gunfire and scratches, much more protective than what they're wearing now. Another item is the shark's metallic fin, which are occasionally sought for in the market, and could fetch a decent price. Lastly is something different, a cutlass that was found stuck inside the Shark's body. The blade seems sharp and light, able to cut through the shark's hides if the team decides to test it out, and should do well as a weapon.
James, who saw that the battle is over, heads over and checks on everyone. While everyone had some scratches and light wounds here and there from the battle, Zeccika seems to have suffered a higher degree of injuries and was being treated by their only doctor on the team.
"Salt? It'll hurt but at least it won't be life threatening I suppose. Good to see the rest of you came out well, that was quite some fight."
He didn't look away when he saw Zeccika, and instead try to judge her injuries from what he could see. He's seen his share of skin, considering both his teammates are women, and having your clothes shot off you is the least of your worries when you're staring down the barrel of guns that could kill you. Of course, some could say he's just using that for an excuse, based on his personality. He did, however, as a show of good will, left her his long jacket to cover up as he turns to check up his teammates.
On the other hand, Sarah and Lilia's nursing their bruises, kicking the robot was not exactly a comfortable feat after all. But thanks to it being an actual skill, it only left a bit of scratches and bruises, nothing's broken so they'll be fine in a bit.
"Um... sorry to tell you this Sarah, but I killed the Shark without you."
"....It's alright."
The Soldier seems to look a bit disappointed, but otherwise didn't say anything towards it. While the Artist looks the same after returning from checking up on the remains of the robots, she hoped to find some still functioning parts, but seems to have failed. She also complained of leg pain, so James allowed her to dual ride with him. The three heads back towards the rest of the group with Sarah on foot, James driving the bike, and Lilia holding tight after the Hunter swirls a bit to scare her into doing so.

As the pain continued as she defended her Zeccika what seemed all lost suddenly help arrived just in the nick of time. Though still bleeding she was able to stay stablized as the Doc suddenly grabbed her to take cover near a carcass. She didn't complain but did grunt in pain as she was moved to the safe spot. When Doc observed her and soon gave his recommendation she soon replies, "Right..."
As She felt the pain of the rocks being moved her shirt was forced to be thorn off and she was greatly embarrassed but didn't complain. After all in this life or death situation sometimes you had to do what you had to do stay alive. As he worked she noticed James stare for a moment she wanted to glare back but chooses not to and instead closes her eyes in pain as the doc worked in trying to get rid of the rocks embedded into her body. She soon soon heard rustling of clothing and noticed the long jacket, at least she will not be all bared to everyone to see now. She soon remembered something then takes it out of her pocket for the doc to see a recovery pill, so she would be able to close up her wounds after he is done cleaning.
"Just in case you know.", Zeccika muttered to the doc in a knowing manner.
You do not know when you will need to patch up and its always good to keep things in preparation just in case. As the Doc would finish up she would take the pull once he was completed which would close up the wound and would soon grab the Jacket that James left. She put it on and noted how much larger the man was and noticed the jacket was a bit loose in some areas and a bit too tight in others. Getting up she would soon say, "Thanks."

The group linked back up at the body of the shark once they had finished the fights, and seeing to the martial artist in Jack's case.
M: "How'd it go?"
D: "It could have been worse. Some trouble, but we handled it. The lone girl took the most damage, just minor stuff for the rest of us."
M: "Good. We're up one bike, some cash, gear, and plenty of food."
R: "Not too shabby at all."
Dyson offered to see to the damage that James and his team took, and afterward/if turned down, he moved to help the rest of them butcher the shark. There was a pretty good chunk of hide there, so that'd make nice armor. Lots of meat too. While cutting at it they hacked off the fin, which took a metal saw, to bring back to the Hunters Organization as proof of the deed. They could probably sell it to a collector afterward for another financial boost as well. The strangest thing was that they found a sword in the thing's innards. Mazhe held it up to look at in the sunlight.
M: "Well, this is unexpected."
R: "Guess some poor bastard got ate, and this is all that's left of 'em."
M: "Looks to be in good condition."
D: "As you can tell by its fin and tail, the sand shark here clearly had no problems digesting metal. That sword must have got lodged in its esophagus when it ate the person whom had owned it. I imagine it'd have been melted had it got to the stomach."
R: "No wonder if was in such a shitty mood."
Mazhe took the sword since no one else seemed interested in it at the moment. It'd do him the most good anyway. They'd bring the goods here back to town and find a leather worker to cure the hides, and as for the meat, now that they had cash they could afford to rent a place and let it dry into biltong. For that reason they went over and cracked open that cannon hopper to take its rock salt before washing up and storing what they had acquired.
"This'll take a day of three to cure, then we can split the rations as we discussed. You'll have to stay in town for that long, but I doubt that'll be a problem. These bikes need work, which will probably take the garage some time to finish anyway," Gralon informed James to indicate he remembered and intended to uphold their deal.
Since they were busy doing all of that, none of the biker's crew really paid any mind to the loner when she was exposed, but Mazhe did offer to let her ride with him since she had definitely gotten beaten up worse than either of his two buddies. Then they began to head back to town as well.
"You have a good team there, James," the Rider said to make conversation on the way, "I'm impressed."

James didn't say anything in return, or turn back towards her when he heard her thanking him. Instead he just raises his hand to show that there's nothing to worry about as he walks away.
After some discussions, they decided on who gets what of the loot. Everyone are to get a part of the shark meat, along with 1/3 of the income from this trip. Which brings the number up to 790G for each party, a fair amount for a day's worth. As for the more rare looking goods, Mazhe grabbed the sword, which is matching as he's the main sword user here. Zeccika went with the hides, which she seems to have some idea on how to get them tanned, and could be used to make armor that'll be useful for close range combat. After they took their pick, it'll leave James' team with the fin, which he plans to sell for a extra bit of cash.
"Sounds fine, we can meet together then. If you four are interested we can work together in future opportunities as well, hopefully with the cash we made today we'll be able to suit up and fight better."
At this point, after seeing the ability of the others during this trip, he's more interested in having some connections with them than small bits of rewards. They don't know much people in this area after being warped over, so making some friends would be quite important for survival and success of future missions. The girl's somewhat inexperience, but did quite well for her first hunt, not a bad idea to work with her either.
They slowly head back North, moving slowly to match the speed of those on foot, and making conversations while staying alert.
"Thanks, you guys did well yourself, impressive move with the bike and sword there. Now if only I have a car or a tank, then I can show you my specialties. Zeccika you survived with only minor injuries as well, that's a good start. Hunters that managed to succeed without a scratch tends to get over their head, and get killed when they got careless, so it's better to learn some lessons on the first try."

The team then splits up and goes off to do their own things, resupplying, purchasing, and well earned rest.

As Zeccika was fully back on her feet she would soon grab the few hides from this incursion after they begun cutting up the sand shark. With this the job itself would be considered a success, that is if Zeccika doesn't get caught at home that is. As they all complimented each other Zeccika soon adds,"It was a nice little field trip."
Of course it ended out with her taking all the beating never the less it was a success in living. Once everything was settled Zeccika soon accepted the ride home as they would make way for El Nino once more. When arriving she soon got off and soon thanks the others. With this now done everyone would begin making way back home, due to how late it was as she walked back to the hotel. When arriving and opening the door once more she soon walks up to the person at the desk and soon asks, "Say do you know any good at making armor out this sort of leather in the city?"
The man at the desk soon looks at her noticing she was wearing different clothing from earlier simply replies, "Ah... ahh... yes yes there is. Let us see, there is a place called Nox's Armory. Wi.. will there be anything else, ma'am?"
Zeccika soon nodded then replies, "Not really, thank you for the information."
She would soon walk back up to the hotel room as she went up the stairs, on arriving on her floor she headed to room 216 and then using her key unlocked the door. When arriving she soon was greet by an older man who had a bottle of liqour in his hands.
"So... where the hell have you been young lady?", Mecks soon stated which got Zeccika completely stopped.
"Uhh... outside.", Zeccika managed to say as she hid the leather behind her as best she could.
"Outside huh... and who's jacket your wearing?", Mecks eyes darkened which Zeccika knew she was in trouble barely stampers out, "I can explain about this!!"
Never the less Zeccika was in deep trouble after this.

After getting back to town, Mazhe and company took some time to heal up and resupply. They'd suffered no major damage, true, but stomping around unnecessarily in the wasteland could very well compound a minor problem and turn it into a major one. Jack made sure to hammer than into the other two. Just the same, they had to work on curing that meat and getting the new set of wheels they had souped up for the next scuffle. They rented an empty warehouse conveniently located beside the town's garage; usually holding spare parts, this one was empty now due to the increased demand the Grapplers placed on the workers to upkeep their tanks. For that reason the gearheads were willing to rent it out for a couple of days to earn some spare coin while waiting to get a new shipment in.
It wasn't as cozy as a room in an inn, but the price was right and the location was handy since they didn't have anywhere else to store the bike anyway.
Getting the armor plating topped off was step one, then some tools to repair it in the field came next. The doctor returned from his own trip to the shops with something special, which he introduced to the group at the fall of dusk while they were cleaning the sand out of the vehicle.
"Guess what I found for sale today," Dyson said with an ominous smile. Mazhe and Rodriguez exchanged glances.
"Drugs?" the first asked.
"True love?" replied the second.
Jack laughed at both joking attempts. "No. Well, a little of both actually. I love it, and it can provide drugs..."
The cryptic notes ended there as he decided to just show them. He presented his gunmetal-gold arm, which internal servos whirred within as a hatch in the wrist opened to allow a massive needle to jut out. Both of his companion's eyes went wide.
R: "Whoa! What the hell kind of syringe is that? You buy that from a doctor who treats elephants?!"
M: "Is that for killing people or saving them?"
D: "As it happens it can do both, Mazhe. Extremely economical, don't you think?"
Suddenly not getting hurt looked a lot more appealing...They'd definitely be playing it extra careful on their next run, and not just because of the enemy.
