The kick was enough to knock back the rat long enough for it to be shot to death, it's the size of a dog, but the machines on it's head doesn't make it any stronger than one. IT did however, not fly as far as Zeccika hoped it might do, with the extra machinery weighing it down. The Prairie Guerilla, moved up for another strike when it noticed the man with the sword jumping towards it. Deciding to play it safe, it quickly goes down the tunnel again, only for the tunnel to narrow up by the attack. The blade soon reached it while it was still immobilized, killing the sneaky mole.
Now only the ants are left, and they popped up a few moments after the mole was killed... just that now there's nine of them, more of them seems to be in the area and they had dug out to help their fellow ants. They let off a loud squeak, loud enough for the party to hear... and of course for three more Parabolic Rats to catch it with their instrument and arrive. The Ants quickly attempts to swarm the group with their numbers, sending three towards each party, which means of course Zeccika is getting the pointy end of the stick here. The Rats are still a bit of distance away, and would take some time to arrive and attack.
The Ants only have one attack, biting at their enemies with their sharp teeth, which would hurt quite a bit if it hits but not exactly something light threatening. Of course, that only applies when we're talking about one ant, now there's god knows how many of them in the area.
James retrieves his Harpoon and uses it to stab right into one of the ant as they get close, not quite enough to finish it off but enough to injury it to the point where it is disabled. Another of the ant tries to wrestle around with Lilia, who uses the Wide Shot's bipod to bat it away before Sarah jumps over and stomp its head off right at the back of its neck. The last one managed to get close enough for a bite, but was kicked away by James before it did anything more than scratching the heel of his shoes.
Three other Ants head for the trio, mostly at Mazhe since the two other robot like humans don't look very tasty at all, so they pretty much completely ignore the two and went right for the Rider in order to bite at him. The ones that attacked Zeccika dug a bit into the ground and are trying to use it as cover, which could be a bit of nuisance.

Zeccika was not out the woods yet as the rats were dealt with, but soon the ants began to spring. It was expected, as these monsters did have some form of intelligence even if only animalistic. With many coming had her she has to think quick and to survive. She soon figured it out in an instant she was outnumbered and only knew one thing she picked up over her travels. Getting ready she soon waited for the right moment then striked. She Unleashed her Turbulence Whirlwind Kick toward the three Ants, not sure if they were keep them at bay or kill them out right. She had to as the others were quite busy on their own, her fury was released into them as soon as she was done she back stepped back quickly to avoid any incoming attacks then picks up her pistol and then begin firing. If it worked then she just saved her skin if not well there would be good trouble.

The rider's sword came back up covered with blood, the sticky coating make him smirk from a plan well executed. But he wasn't able to celebrate for long, a piercing shriek from the ants acting as a sort of war cry to go with their unborrowing and charging. What's worse, he quickly noticed that there were more of them here than the original three. Just as many were coming directly at him, leaving barely enough time to give an exclamation of 'shit!' before he was forced on the defensive.
The first set of jaws came in and were parried, Mazhe sticking his blade between both sets and twisting them like a lever to force the ant's head to turn to the side and expose its neck. That area was then attacked by him delivering a sharp stomp with the heel of his boot, pounding it hard into the dirt before pulling his blade back. One of its compatriots jumped in at that moment and bit him on the arm while recovering, but the warrior was able to pull it free with a fierce tug. Adrenaline flooded his body now from the pain, and without thinking he swiped his sword at the second ant's face before diving out of the way of the third and running in a zigzag pattern back towards his allies.
Those two promptly gave covering fire the moment he was out of the way, Rodriguez dumping the last rounds in his cylinder into the group while the doctor snapped off precise shots with his bullet bow. Hopefully the ants would follow him and get ripped up so they could focus on the next wave of rats; havign caught sight of those while retreating.

The last ant fighting James' team was finished off without much problem with several shots to its head, more than enough to punch through its soft shell and draining its life from the wounds caused by the bullets. They turn to support the lone martial artist but noticed that she managed to kick those three ants away with enough forces to tear the head right off one of them, and ending the life of another with her pistol. The last one was quite serious in injuries, and was finished off by James sending the harpoon at its undefended back.
Mazhe's attack worked just as he had expected, the Sand Ants were not as heavy as their size suggests, and was flipped over by the blade before being stomped to death. The other managed to draw some blood, but was surprised that its target simply pulled it right off before taking a slash on its face. The blade left a wide wound on the ant, and the large insect was then shot to death along with its last ally in the battle by the bullets and arrows.
Now all that remains are the Parabolic Rats, who after taking a look at the remains of the other beasts laying near the fighting warriors, decides to turn and flee from these humans. Seeing the immediate danger seems to be over, James wipes the remains off his harpoon gun, and looks back at the rest of the team to make sure no one is injured. The Rider seems to have taken some scratches, but it doesn't look like anything serious.
"Well, looks like that went well. Hows the arm Mazhe? Your stab was pretty impressive, and I was hoping we'll be able to see more of that. Zeccika you seem to do decently well, nice moves you had just now."
He made some complements to the members of the two other teams, and give everyone sometime to catch their breath and get something done if necessary, before continuing the team into the border of the East Mado Desert. If you think the journey here was hot, think again, now it's scorching. The heat is strong enough to roast raw meat if placed directly on the sand, enough to feel more than just a sting if you touch the shiny sand with your skin, and worse of all there's no cover what so ever that could shield one from the heat. That said, the group here aren't regular travelers, those with enough ability to join the Hunter's Organization are proven to have super human strength, so it shouldn't be too much problem to the group of seven here.
The lack of cover also applies to creatures in the area, there's three Sand Ants just like the ones earlier, these ones are crawling around looking for resources and moving slowly along the sand dunes. Two yellowish Hummingbirds that are smaller than the Bats are flying in the air, and dashing around in the desert are two ostrich with a small long barrel gun on its back. Other than the more animal like creatures, the desert also seem to have something different. The Sand Ants seems to have noticed something and changed their routes to move away, the sand near them seems to shake a bit, and out comes a yellow, larger spider like creature. The creature is known as the Vulcantula, packing a small vulcan gun right under where its mouth is suppose to be. It's fully mechanical, a robot, one that was designed by Noah to wipe out humanity and are still running around to carry out that task.
The Vulcantula did not operated alone, jumping across a sand dune is the Cannon Hopper, basically a four-legged green cannon. The Cannon Hopper can walk around with its legs, and even jump a short distance. The cannon on the robot's back is not very powerful, equal to around a firework worth of gunpowder, but more than enough to cause some serious injuries if it hits a vital area. Lastly is the Scorpion Gun, easily the largest being that the adventurers could see, being close to double the size of the smaller animals and a larger cannon is mounted on where a scorpion has its stinger.
There's no sign of their target yet, but these enemies could be dangerous if forced to caught in battle with them along with the Sand Shark. Again, James looks at the others to see what they want to do, these creatures are stronger than the ones that they fought earlier, and could be more dangerous considering most of them now pack ranged weapons. Or so it would have been his plan when the two Hummingbirds in the sky seems to have spotted them with the help of their height, and begins to fly towards the team.
"Move!"
He gave a quiet and short warning to try and avoid alerting the other enemies nearby, before scattering out from the group. The two Beam Hummingbirds opens their mouth and fires several short rays of lasers at the group, not particularly aiming at anyone of them but in their general positions. James' team quickly move away from the coming rays, but the birds flew away before they could counterattack, not that James could do much against these quick moving targets in the air. Lilia, also have some problem against the birds, being the user of a weapon that is quite inaccurate. Sarah chooses to stay on the alert rather than attacking the birds, worried if any of the other enemies might approach.

Zeccika didn't put her guard down but as soon as she heard James compliment she soon responds, "Nothing much."
Of course they were not out of the woods yet, since they have yet to get to get much rest suddenly Zeccika saw from the distance the of the ants they fought earlier switch directions.
"What in the world..", Zeccika only managed to say until she realized what was coming.
Of course nothing is ever simple, after all if it was they would not even need to be out here. Never the less suddenly from the sky something else was coming and soon Zeccika heard James soon stated Move. She understood what that meant so she complied, the promptly moved with the others to avoid being hit. She too would not do well against the flying enemies and followed James' Lead.
"Any ideas?", Zeccika soon prompted a question on if anyone had a way to get out of this mess.

The wounded fighter held up his arm for James to see. Four identical cuts in the middle of bruised flesh. His sleeve had been torn off completely at the elbow where he yanked it out of the insect's mouth. The clothes he was wearing were probably the only thing that kept that fight from being complicated, they allowed him to rip those off and pull free. Had that thing got a solid grip on exposed flesh, he'd have lost a lot more than part of his jacket. "I'll live. Will need a new shirt though, again, but better than a new set of skin, eh?"
Dyson cleaned out and bandaged the wounds regardless of hurt man's nonchalance about it, and then they rolled out into the deeper deserts further from town. Anyone in the group not wearing hats or hoods put them on/up when the sun started to really beat down on them, both to protect the skin and eyes. They seemed to handle the harsh conditions as well as could be wished. Mazhe was hoping they could get through this without another battle, but it seems that would not be the case today. The first things he saw were the fliers, and from there his eyes moved onto the other creatures prowling the immediate area. He saw a lot of guns, which he understandably did not like one bit.
Especially that spider.
So Rodriguez, Dyson, and Mazhe bailed right with James. They moved in wide, curving lines to make it hard to nail any single one of them, evading the stray beams that smacked into the dirt with sizzles.
"Yeah, outrun them," Mazhe told the martial artist in a hushed voice. The road gunners and birds could probably catch up to them, but maybe they could outrun the slower beasts. Doing so might make the fast ones change their mind about coming after them, since the human group was fairly big in number. At any rate there was plenty of desert to lose them in, so if nothing else it'd give them time to think.
So that was his vote, the vulcantula was something he did not want to deal with if it could be helped. Not without a vehicle.

"Better than nothing I suppose." As soon as they started running to avoid the hummingbirds, the Road Gunners spotted the group and begins to run towards them, the cannons on their back moves slightly for adjustment before they begin to lob small shells at the group. Though inaccurate and have less power than an actual cannon, it's still enough to punch holes through you if it hits directly, so it's a good idea to try to not get hit here. The Hummingbirds also swooped in for another round, but was forced away by James' two teammates. Their shots was inaccurate since they're also trying to run here, but enough to keep them away from the party for a moment. It'll be hard to outrun the Road Gunners or the Beam Hummingbirds, but the distance will help with avoiding the rest of the enemies here... or so they would have thought. The ground suddenly thunders as something huge approaches, a few moments later a large fin almost as tall as a human adult pops up from the sand, and a huge figure jumps out of the thick sand like its water. The figure crosses the path of the two Road Gunners, and after the figure passes, both birds just disappeared from their last spotted location. The huge being stays emerged from the sand, swimming in the desert at a speed that's even faster than the Hummingbirds in the sky, looks like what they came to hunt for just came to hunt them instead. - - - - - - - - - - - [WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE: 2000G -SAND SHARK-] Sand Shark, the most powerful creature in the area, the ruler of the East Mado Desert. The creature towers everything nearby, being larger than double the size of a bus, and moves faster than one despite swimming in the sand. A thin layer of shell covers much of it's body with the exception of the tail area, partly metal that results from the scrap parts and mechanical creatures in the area which it partly digested and put them to use. Four pairs of eyes are on it's head, allowing it to spot prey miles away in this wide desert, leaving little chances for its victim to escape. With a mighty roar the beast begins to charge towards the party at full speed, ready to turn them into its next victim. Worse of all, the three robotic enemies seems to have reacted to the Sand Shark's attack, and starts to move to attack the party. Thanks to their range, it would take a bit of time before they join the battle, but even without them there's still the problem of the Wanted monster to deal with here. At least the biological monsters decided they don't want to mess with the shark, and seems to have either fly away or burrowed into the sand to avoid fighting the superior animal here. "Move move move! Sarah! Distract it and don't let it come straight at us! Lilia! Give it all you got!!" "Sarah! Buy some time for me, then lead it towards me when I'm good!" The Soldier nods as a reply, and springs into action. Other than being one of the jobs that are exceptional on foot, Soldiers have the ability to direct enemies towards them, and that is exactly what she is trying to do right now. She jumps to a small distance away from the main group, and controls her speed so she would seem to be falling behind, making her a target that would stand out to the Sand Shark. She repeats this until the Sand Shark feels its within range and jumps for the Soldier, who would then return to her regular speed and avoid the dive just in time. The dive splatters large amount of sand, which Sarah uses to cover parts of her movements and gain some distance to the Shark again. James scoops up the Artist in his arms and began running, while Lilia begins to ready her breath and muscles. He also grabs the Wide Shot that she was using, and fires it towards the Sand Shark's direction, its size making it quite easy to hit even without aiming but the bolts harmlessly bounces off its skin and shell. He then turns towards the rest of group, hoping they'll have a better chance until his team could get their plan ready. - <Mado Region> 23x Sand Ant (9 Killed) 23x Video Bat (3 Killed) 29x Parabolic Rat (3 Killed) 12x Prairie Guerilla (1 Killed) <East Mado Desert> (Total Spawn Roll for Mado Region 8d22 -> 106, starting encounter 1d20 -> 10) 24x Sand Ant (3 Retreated) 22x Beam Hummingbird (2 Retreated) 22x Road Gunner (2 Eaten by Sand Shark) 6x Cannon Hopper 12x Vulcantula 12x Scorpion Gun

As Zeccika heard what the others decided and began to run she too joined with them. As they continued to move Zeecika soon stopped like the others hearing something larger, far more fierce some then she ever seen before in her short life. What she saw was a horror which even made her questioning that coming out here was a good idea. Soon she soon breaths, "You got to be fucking kidding me!"
Hearing the scream of run she moved quickly as she would as well, pushing her body to move quickly as the others from the large Sand Shark. Without something stronger she was completely out matched in many ways. She didn't think her own punches or this pistol could hit that monster. But as it became apparent they had a plan she soon throws out, "What is the plan exactly here?"
Which of course meant they had an idea on how to survive and if she could help in any way she could she would. After all they are all together in this even if odds are stacked against them.

Heads were kept low to avoid the arcing shots that were being lobbed at the humans, none coming close enough to hit, but it definitely put some spring to their step. It looked like they might just be able to get away after all, or at least pull the biological enemies far enough away from the robots that they could deal with one group at a time. That'd make it a lot easier. But again, their luck took a turn for the worse. On the horizon Mazhe caught sight of a huge hump in the sand that wasn't there a minute ago, and worse, it was moving in their direction. Fast. Once the triangular fin broke the surface of the soil, he knew that what was approaching was no ordinary monster. He tried to call out the fact to his teammates, but the shout was completely drowned out by the massive beast lunging to the surface and eating several of the mutants that were tailing them. Well, that would probably be a more efficient warning anyway. "Hoboy! Look at the size of that bastard!" the artist exclaimed. "It must be three times as big as the ones in Crime Country," Dyson said with markedly more concern. "The picture sure made it look smaller," Rodriguez agreed. "This is what we live for, boys! Don't lose your nerve now!" The leader of the team told his two companions. They definitely kept running for the time being, not wanting to let that thing get a clear shot at them. Fortunately Sarah was distracting it for the moment, and that let them put some yards between the shark and themselves. It'd eat up the distance pretty fast, but beggars couldn't be choosers at a time like this. Right now they didn't have much more of a plan beyond 'shoot the fuck out of it', but they could at least get to work on that and buff their party up at the same time. Rodriguez took the lead on that. This entire time the cowbow cyborg had a guitar slung across his back, lugging it across the deserts for seemingly no reason. Well now they'd see why the guy had it as he pulled it out and shoved a few cables hanging off of it into ports in his leg. Jack and Mazhe immediately began to shove something into their ears. "Fight like this needs a little music, don't you boys and girls think? Well don't worry your heads, the Vagabond Guitarman has you covered with some change left over for more!" No sooner had this sentence been finished than the aptly titled musician started thrashing on the instrument with terribly loud riffs. The first few were just tests, because they could clearly make out a song being played once he got warned up. The man was extremely talented, because he was able to do this while running for his life away from a 15ft mutated hellbeast. The fast, electric beat stirred something in the party and really got their adrenaline pumping* for the fight, their attacks would be harder and quicker for a little while. Furthermore, the shrieking sound waves would probably jar the hell out of the shark, whom likely relied partially on vibrations through the ground to track prey. Well, it was getting a lot more vibration now than it had ever hoped for. Possibly even in damaging quantities. Dyson spent the time to preemptively prepare his medicine, this fight would surely require it to be used. Mazhe moved to try and keep ahead of the shark and to a side, so that as long as it went for someone else, he could move and attack its flanks...supposing it didn't go at him, then that'd be very bad. But for sure, he wasn't going to rush into melee until everyone else had begun to lay into it. Maybe if he was lucky the martial artist could get on its other side as well. * - Using Adrenaline Song

As much as surrounding the Shark would help, it seems to be smarter than your average wild beast and zooms out of sight by diving right back underground. The Shark seems to move even after when it is submerged, seeing that it was unable to catch the Soldier, it decides to go for the one that had the least reaction next. It quickly swims towards Zeccika's position with only its fin visible, using the sand to absorb attacks that are directed towards it, and comes right up from underneath her to try to tear a part of her off or even try to swallow her whole.
After the attack, success or not, it zooms right at Mazhe's group, ready to attack one of them next. It chose to jump at the Doctor, not picky between what it eats, but was intercepted by the musician's song. The music and the sound wave that was produced seems to have did some internal damage to it, not enough to bring it down, but it was something to start with. It dived back into the sand, a bit annoyed by the music and glares at the cyborg with its many eyes.
While the Shark was busy dealing with the others in the party, the robots nearby seems to have caught up to shooting distance, and begin firing at the group. There's only three of them, but the many bullets from the Vulcantula and the more powerful shells from the Cannon Hopper and Scorpion Gun might cause some problems. As the Vulcantula tries to shoot at her, Sarah turns to deal with it instead, and begins to run away as quickly as possible. However even with her speed she's starting to take some scratches, and it won't be long until she might take some serious damage. Knowing that, she takes a quick turn and begins to fire back at the Vulcantula, knowing that it stores ammo somewhere in its body and shooting at some of that would be a decent target. A few bullets make their impact, and causes a small amount of black smoke to leak out of the mechanical spider, but it's not down yet and continues to exchange fire with the agile girl. Sarah was able to move with considerably high speed as the song kicks in, which would buy her more time before her bullets can do further damage to the Vulcantula.
The Cannon Hopper, jumps up into the air and fires a few shots at Rodriguez with its cannon, keeping a fair amount of distance away to avoid the coming sound waves. When it lands, it quickly jumps to the sides with its legs, designed for such purposes to avoid counter fire. The Scorpion Gun, digs underground out of sight, preferring to ambush its opponent rather than relying on the speed that it lacks.
On the other hand, Lilia nods to James, who make sure he has a safe opening for a moment and puts her back down. She takes a deep breath as James makes the signal to keep clear of the Sand Shark, giving them some warning before she makes her move.
She sings a song similar in tone to the one that Rodriguez is playing, so that the two music won't overlap each other and would instead strengthen each other. Without instruments, all she has is her own voice, and the effects are not the same either. The song was directed towards the Sand Shark's position instead of being spread out for everyone to hear, the sand near the Sand Shark seems to be shaken by the song, creating waves of sand at where the sound is pointed at. The Sand Shark roars in pain as the more powerful skill hits it, resonating with the metal in its body and causing heavy damage to its body. It maybe big and have hides and shells for protection, sharks are generally not good at dealing with forces or damages in general, so it quickly dives downwards. The Sand Shark seems to have moved a bit too fast, the ground nearby seems to shake uncontrollably, different from when the Sand Shark is swimming around. Seconds later, from the point where the Sand Shark dived down, a hole starts to appear and is spreading in size. The sand around begins to drag everything nearby into it at great speed, and the range is wide enough to pull the party down as well.
James and Sarah managed to hold on without sliding over too quickly, but Lilia was tired from the song, and was getting dragged over. James releases his harpoon gun and throws the chain over to her, then together with Sarah tries to pull her back towards them, with little success when the location they're standing on gets pulled over as well. The three then falls a small distance down into the gap, landing on soft sand without being buried by the sand avalanche that dragged them down.
Sarah hurries over to tend to Lilia who had fell into the sand in a quite comical position, being buried waist down when she dived right down. James looks around for his allies and any signs of enemies while patting the sand off himself. For now, the Sand Shark seems to be out of sight, as are the groups of enemies. He can see a partly buried building nearby, revealed by the movements of the sand, which could be a place of interest. He didn't risk yelling, who knows of it might cause the sand to move again and that could be the end of them. On the other side, there's a slope that could be used to get back to the upper layers of the desert, though it might be difficult with the sand being so soft and unstable after that unusual happening.

It figured today was just not Zeccika's day whatsoever occurred to stop her boredom might of not been a good idea. Regardless Zeccika turned to see where exactly where that sand shark was and cursed as soon as she saw it coming for her.
"Seriously?!", Zeccika managed to say as she moved but then suddenly stopped and turned around.
What she was soon doing she calmed herself up as the Sand Shark roared toward her position. She began what seemed to look like a dance as the shark was coming up to her and soon she finished she soon quickly moved and dodged to the side at the last second as the Sand Shark attempted to turn her into its lunch. As she moved she soon soon did a kick at the side of the shark to push herself away from it knowing full well her attacks would do nothing to it. As she promptly landed Zeccika saw the shark go after the next group but seemed today was not getting better as she saw the other enemies they were running from suddenly attacks. Zeccika rolled around and dodged the best she could do as sand gotten all over her feet and hands. She continued to breath hard as the fight was far from over as she soon saw the shark was soon hit as she was impressed at the teamwork of James group and Mazhe's group, it was obvious they were all professionals. What seemed like things were under control the shark began to spin around them below as suddenly the sand began to move.
"Really?!! What the hell!", Zeccika screamed out as the sat began to suck her in along with the others.
She covered her mouth and eyes the best should could as it prove more damaging if she didn't. She span and spun until finally she felt herself hit a spot ground which made her landing much softer then she thought she would. After a brief moment she began to stir and opened her eyes to the area she would of land. Cleaning off the sand from her face she soon began to get her bearings as she had to. She soon tried to find her pistol she by luck landed close to her as she began to check if it was fine. After confirming the weapon was still in good working condition she soon began to look around to see what was before her.

Since the group had stayed mobile nobody got tagged by any bullets or shrapnel that did more than light grazing, except perhaps to the psyche. The gunners had caught up to them faster than expected, and that made things much more troubling. The lot of them swung around to try and keep the Wanted monster between them and the mechanical beings, in hopes whatever weird pack instinct/programming they had would make them more hesitant to shoot their way. Rordriguez's screeching guitar prematurely ended the shark's run on them too, which was even better, but if they couldn't get its backup off their asses soon, they might be gunned down before the shark could even factor in. Maybe they could get the fist fighter to go lend aid on that field so their own trio wouldn't need to break up?
Another song kicked up around then which the mutant liked even less, that causing it to submerge, but this time that wasn't all that happened. The ground below their feet trembled in a way that was not at all usual, it was a deep bass rumbling of the type you only got when the hardpack and other solid layers underneath the loose top sands gave way. And when that happened...
"Sinkhole!" Doctor Dyson shrieked to alarm all three parties.
The massive pit opened in the ground almost equidistance between them, and like a stopper pulled out of a bathtub drain, it immediately began to pull in the surrounding sands all of them were standing on. Rodriguez almost tripped at first since he was distracted between playing and running, having to stop the former to catch his balance after dropping to a knee. Doing so buried him up to his waist in sand within seconds, and the powerful current unbalanced everyone else with similar results. Rather than fight it at that point, they moved to swim in the loose sediment instead of trying in vain to run or climb back up the slope, using their arms and legs to kick to the surface and glide down the waves of sand. It was a very hard trick to do, since quicksand tended to make people panic, but staying calm and remembering to abuse the unique properties of it could save your life. This tactic also works in avalanches and in soupy bogs, the latter being where they had learned to do it back in Crime Country.
Because of this they got to the bottom of the pit without too much hassle, even if they were completely coated in a heavy layer sand of sand which they had to shake out of their hair and clothes. They popped their earplugs out and checked each other over for wounds once a few pounds of dirt had been dumped out of their collective attires. Rodriguez had taken a bullet across the back he hadn't noticed, but that wasn't anything too lethal at the moment. They remained on guard while moving to link back up with the other two posses, notably testing the ground before they stepped on any of it. The footing down here felt fairly solid now, but no telling if it'd stay that way or not.
"I think we should check out the building," Mazhe quietly pitched to his allies, "if those gunners take positions on lip of this pit, we're dead. But in there, we'll have cover. That, or we go back up immediately. The low ground is a deathtrap."
It appears he spotted the same two areas of interest as James, now they needed to figure out what to do. Rushing straight up that ramp didn't enthuse him very much, because if those robots were smart, they'd have their guns pointed right at it to mow them down. On the other hand, what other choice did they have beside the ruin? Depending on how tall it was, the structure might also get then close enough to the edge of the pit to escape it without exposing themselves so direly on the ramp, but it was hard to tell that from where they stood currently.

James nods at Mazhe's suggestion, if the building's been buried for a while, it might not have been searched and could contain some useful items that they could make use of.
"If we're lucky we might be able to find something we can use to fight those robots, or even the Sand Shark."
"A great idea considering Lilia's in no shape to fight for a while."
Sarah comes over with Lilia on her back, the Artist needs some rest from the Detonating Shout earlier, even if it failed to complete. The somewhat crazy girl seems to look a bit pale, so for now she's resting on her friend until she's back in shape. James wasn't too keen on trying their luck on seeing if those robots from earlier, or perhaps even more enemies are waiting for them on the surface, they should at least get some rest before attempting to get back up.
He then noticed Zeccika looking around, so he waved her her to regroup before the team continues towards the newly discovered building.

The building's entrance were blocked by a gate, but it seems to be damaged from the Great Destruction or by the sand avalanche, and half of it is broken. James goes over and looks to the others for help, before trying to lift it open. It's not too heavy and should open up with the strength of two or more person. After heading down an empty, dusty hall, they arrived at some sort of underground parking lot. Judging from the emblems and posters nearby, this seems to be owned by the police. Skeletons and worn clothing are laying here and there, judging from their position they seem to have tried to escape, but had their exits blocked by the sand. There was nothing these people could do after they cleared out their supplies, and eventually died of thirst or starvation.
"Spread out a bit, see what we can find here."
James left Sarah to tend to Lilia, while he move around the area to look for anything useful. Being a former police area, there's a chance that they might find some useful items. One of them might be able to spot the few police motorcycles laying in a pile by the corner of the parking lot, on closer inspection they might find that most of them are destroyed with a few exceptions. Beside the bikes are a destroyed patrol car, in the trunk there's an intact shotgun with several boxes of shells inside.
"Looks like we struck gold."
He said to the rest of the team as he twirl a keyring with two keys on it, seemingly good to be used on the two still working bikes. The bikes have a handful of armor plating on them, so they can take hits better than the party themselves with their skin. He tries out one of them, and the bike starts up without a problem. After checking out the vehicle, he drive a small distance to test out the bike, at least with this they can outrun the Sand Shark.
There's also a few Rocket Fireworks, seeming items that were confiscated by the police, which might be helpful as well.
[Each player gains three Rocket Fireworks]

As Zeecika settled to her surrounding she soon began to notice the other but what truly caught her eye was the Ancient Building they found. She remember her father's stories when she was young how society was once was, and he learned from his own grand parents life on what they did. Now seeing something from the ancient past told her much from a distance holding out so long was an achievement of the past and it brought her into wonderment. Her face showed on this as she stared at it as she regrouped with the others. She walked toward the broken gate with the others as James called for help to open it she soon moved toward to help as they pushed the door open for them to enter. She soon saw what was left of those who survived or lack therefore survived, the great destruction. Their remaining bones could be seen as she gave a silent prayer for those there. She may not look it but did this since the ghosts of the past may need closure. She continued to look around with her pistol in both hands as she slowly began to check the surroundings trying to find anything. The smell was distinct as it smelt like no human may have been here before. As she looked she soon heard James speak out on striking gold, as she moved toward their direction and noticed the working vehicles.
"Well now, it seems even ancient technology still working after all this time. Why am I not surprised.", Zeccika commented as the vehicles were still in prime condition.
She also over looked it even though she was no true mechanic like her father she did pick out some way to see from a glance on these were good vehicles. She then turned to the trunk and saw the shotgun, compared to everyone she was likely the least armed and soon took it from its case. Taking out the shells and sash that held shot gun bullets she soon put it over herself and loaded the shot gun. Much better then her pistol which she holstered. After checking the gun was ready she soon pumped it ready to be ready to shoot at a moments notice. She then noticed the rocket fireworks as soon got them on her which would be a massive help then what she had before.
"Well it seems we got lucky today.", Zeccika commented as she was now ready to go.

The other bounty hunters followed James and Zeccika into the building once they had forced open the gate. Along with the posters and municipal insignia, Mazhe found a few badges of tarnished metal amongst the piles of bones. None of his posse moved to take them despite the fact they might have value, it was a kind of disrespect that none of them wanted to commit. Taking what was needed was one thing, but those were clearly of personal importance to the men and women whom had died here and were of little import to their survival.
R: "I feel sorry for these bastards, shitty way to go."
M: "Yeah. But maybe we can make some use of anything left over."
They mostly scanned for other exits out of the building while James checked out the garage itself. Didn't seem like they'd have much luck with that. The police station had been buried deep, and they were lucky that just this facing of it had been exposed. They were also lucky this place was built sturdy enough to withstand all the tons of sand bearing down on it, had any of those walls collapsed, they'd have likely not found anything without hours of digging which they could ill afford.
The roar of an engine brought them all back to the main room of the garage, with a huge smile coming to Mazhe's face upon seeing James on a bike, with another beside him.
"Oh baby, now we're talking!" He exclaimed while moving to the other ivory-colored motorbike after getting the second key off of the Hunter. The man straddled it fluidly and fired it up with a roar, causing him to laugh as it sprang to life. "Ha, it still runs! Lady luck's finally smiling on us today."
He drove it a few feet and eased to a stop beside the martial artist. "Some of these pre-destruction vehicles utilize fuel cells. They were moving over to that from gas for a number of reasons in the run-up to doom's day. Lucky thing for us, because gas can 'expire' in bad conditions. Such as being buried in a desert for 70+ years."
While parked next to her his team took their share of the fireworks. One for each member of his crew. Since him and James got the bikes he was fine with Zeccika taking the shotgun. Sarah could probably use it better, but fair was fair, they were still profit-minded professionals after all. As for the Rider, he clearly had no problems handling the bike and in fact did so with only one hand on the bars; holding his sword tight in the other.
"I'm going to put that shark on a skewer, now. Still won't be easy, but this'll make it a little more even."
Before going he pointed his sword at the ruined cars and bikes. "Shame we're in a hurry. All that scrap could fetch a good price in town if we had the time to fill our pockets."
