"That will be all for now, you are to remain in your cell until further noticed. Don't expect your meals to be good though, apparently your commander went and tried to defend you two, while the chef was already frustrated at the stock problems."
"That's right, you might have to be eating dried meat of yourself if it's up to him."
"Sir."
"I'll take over from here, Sub-Lieutenant."
James came in just in time to hear the last part of what Marumi has said, and gave his own input on the matter. He takes the board that Marumi had done her writings on, and takes a quite scan over the information.
"Hm, that's strange... there were no signs of the recordings being tampered with either. What's your in take on this, Marumi?"
"Perhaps the mutineers had a disguise on, or maybe there are information that are withheld by either or both parties involved?"
"Normally that could be a reason, but the Head Chef have only seen these two when they go to the cafe, and neither party knew each other all that well. There would be no reason for either of them to attempt to frame each other, or to lie about this. If it's a disguise then I don't see any reports from the security team about that. Either way Lint's team would ultimately be responsible, mostly for failing to stop the intruders on board before hand."
He writes a few short lines down on the notes, adding in his opinion on the happening, and his recommendations on what to do. After he's done, he hands the board back to Marumi, and looks back at the two.
"Well Ensign, I can't let you off free when the Chef's got prove of your appearance. Normally it won't be such a big deal, but under our current situation that could be quite a big problem. However we might need more men in the following days... 2 weeks of extra shift, helping the kitchen on clean ups. But don't let me hear any reports of you two slacking, or I won't let you off that easily next time."
The two higher ranking officers leaves the room, but James stops for a moment and turns back to them, with Marumi wondering why.
"And you two... I fully understand why you'd want to stare, but I'd prefer to not deal with any sexual harassment claims. So keep your head cool kids, alright?"
If the two now freed prisoners look towards the exit, they might see Marumi looking back towards the cell with her brows furrowed, but she turns and follows her superior back out of the block. After they're gone, the guard comes over and looks at them.
"Well, you heard the Chief, you two are off the hook. I just hope you don't mess with The Grapplers anymore, I'd like something edible for my meals."
-
Seeing that the ship has landed, and they already had a bit of time to rest(even though they went and deal with the salt problem), the two returns to their station on the bridge. James hands the report over to the Captain, before checking out the status of the ship.
"The wave seems to be fine, we should be alright in the water... enjoyed the view of Mother Earth, Captain? I've been on Earth several times before, but I get amazed every time we go down. Even when we could live in space, it is still much different to be back on Earth."
Right now the ship is slightly North of Mariana Islands. Although there were battles in Asia, most of the major battles happens in Australia, the North half of China, and in the Pacifics, Hawaii. To avoid those battles, the best choice is to stay as far as those are as possible, normally Japan and Korea could be a choice, but those two areas are close to both Northern China and Hawaii, and could be treated as supply bases. So the best route to Hong Kong is to go around Palau, and make an u-turn up back to Southern China.
James finishes explaining his route plans to the Captain, and see if he would have other choices for the ship.
"I also think we should explain to the crew about our situation, before we reach the dock. If not then the rest of the crew might panic if they see some dates when we dock."

"I've never seen so much water in one place before. Our colonies might have one lake in one park, if we're lucky." Harmattan replied. A funny thing to say, but if James was familiar with how some of the poorer colonies were, he'd understand. Water rationing and recycling were a big deal in a lot of the Sides after the OYW, and back home as well. It was kind of jarring to come down here and see just how much there was for everyone and everything. Almost as a side note, he stopped staring out the window and said "and welcome back, both of you. I trust you rested well?"
With formality voice he took the report and gave it a quick read. His eyebrow lifted at some of the insinuations made by the pilots. "We'd better not have doppelgangers on board the ship as well. Well, I guess if we do we'll see them again sooner or later; there's only so much room to hide here. Until then, those two better watch themselves around the cafeteria. Still, I'm glad our only pilots aren't crisped."
A small map at his station was pulled up so that he could follow the Commander's proposed route while it was being explained to him. An approving nod was given.
"This seems like a sound plan. My only amendment is that I'd like us to stop off at some of these smaller along the way that share Palau's archipelago. Some are uninhabited, and most have edible plants according to the computer. Unless we want to be eating dried pasta with fish, some variety is needed. Plus, the more we can get from foraging, the less we'll need to buy when we get to the city. I don't think we should take lightly how strapped we are."
The really tricky part here was how to break this to the crew. It once again made his brow furrow, and he spoke his mind pretty frankly on this one.
"I'm going to be completely honest with you. I've been thinking about how to let the men in on this incident, and I've yet to come up with a solution I like. At best, I can warn the staff heads ahead of time and then give the word. At least then they can lean on their immediate superiors to straighten out any issues or disbelief. Hopefully no one does anything stupid from that point on for 'proof'." He said. A sigh escaped his throat, and he wiped his forehead with the back of his coat sleeve. "At any rate, I think I'd better call them together in person. It will make for a more powerful, and believable, explanation to do so."

Zephyr and Rico went to attention when the Commander came in. Listening to what was said Zephyr turned to his friend to shake his head to say to not speak a word on trying to defend himself. It would only make it worse. When all talking was done both relaxed but Commander Wong turning felt like a very stern warning. When released they out of their cells still exhuasted, fighting against spies and then bring thrown in the brig.
"I think I going to take a nap.", Zephyr soon stated.
"Hey... but why we got to do cleaning duty for something we didn't do!", Rico complained.
"Because if we try to go against it will be worse. For take it until we find the real culprits and I got a suspicion who.", Zephyr replied walking away.
"God damn it...", Rico muttered.
Miriam finished her report and took a rest now getting ready again she soon headed to give her findings to the Captain. She would continue to walk and soon come to bridge to talk with the captain.

James nods in return at the Captain's suggestion, however he had a bit of worries.
"Although the area is rich with edible resources, I'm a bit worried about possibly diseases, and we don't have much medicine to proven or cure much of these diseases. Hopefully we'll be lucky enough to avoid them, or else it might be a hazard to everyone on the ship."
As for giving out the bad news... there's really nothing they could do. Many of the men had already saw the Zeon fleet that they had encounter earlier along with the Colony, some of the more witty ones already have guesses on what had happen.
"Our options are limit here, but they all really lead to the same end, we have to tell them the truth. The longer we drag it out, the tougher they would take it. Why don't we tell them the morning after our first stop? The men would have a decent meal and a night's rest. We can tell the officers in advance so they can keep their men under control, and when we arrive at Palau we could give them a day of rest before we continue our journey."
Though Palau is a bit close to Australia, they should have no problem yet. The EFF are still in chaos, and the Zeons didn't begin their invasion yet. They could get some rest and restock on fuel and fresh food while they're there. Whatever the captain's decision is, James gave out the orders to begin moving along their planned route.
The ship begins to head South-West towards Palau and Indonesia, while stopping for resources on the way. Though there are little to be found, any extra food helps. So by dinner that day they begin to eat more than just a few plain dishes, compared to what they had before.

"Tropical diseases shouldn't be too much of a problem as long as we avoid the locals and boil any water we get. I imagine Mr. Broiler can help us out with that since we'll be needing to boil the salt out of sea water while we're here. It's a risk worth taking regardless, we might never get a chance to stock up this easily again. I'd rather try to dodge the cold than the Federal Army." Were the captain's thoughts on that matter. Viruses had followed men to space too, so he wasn't especially worried. At least some of these men had served in combat roles before and would have had gotten vaccines.
He thought hard on the recommended course of action, and eventually agreed. "That sounds like as good of an idea as we're going to get. Let's do that, I'll send the word down the chain to our officers while you get our course punched in. At least we're going to a tropical paradise, that should help cheer them back up." He ended with a soft chuckle.
Yet, another knock on the door by Lint surprised him before that could happen, and he turned at once to greet her.
"Ah, Lt. Commander Lint. What can I do for you today?"

Liutenant Lint soon came in saluting the Captain. As it was required prior her report was finished and arrived to give her assessment.
"Captain I am here with the report of my findings on when the mutineers managed to begin their respective rebellion.", Miriam soon said passing the tablet and paper work just in case to the Captain.
On it stated every single detail from the time frame things began to go wrong to the point when they entered sub space. What really strange was on report Lint did a double check on background of all of the mutineers. On it stated they were all green to come on the ship and no other evidence of planned nature.
"Captain in that report there is something troubling me.", Lint said still at attention.
"I did all checks on everyone's background three times and still shows nothing. It's like almost someone intentionally brought them all in. To blunt I suspect only ones, who could do this.. are likely someone extremely high ranked within both the Federation and SNRI. For whatever reason it's unknown but gives me worry that they managed to infiltrate our security so well.", Lint reported.
It was true whoever this was it was likely an inside job.
"As well I did a check on our data base... part of it is corrupted as well.", Lint then added.

"Indeed they should, it'll give them something to do and not any more problems too."
He nods at Lint as she enters, but focuses on finishing his own part. He does however, listens to what she has to say, in case the two needed his opinions.
James listened to Lint's report to the Captain, but did not show any reaction on what she had find. No matter who is responsible now, they're either forced to be a part of the crew, or is close to 70 years away from their time period right now. There is little that they can do, unless they return back home. But even if they managed to do that, they're not exactly those that are in charge, personally he thinks it's better to stay away from the politics unless he has a matching position to deal with such problems.
"Lt. Commander, it won't matter who is responsible for this. First the person responsible is not remotely close to here, even if they are, it's up to the investigation departments to check it out and not some officers on a single ship. Second, if we start being suspicious here, it'll affect the morale of the entire crew, making everyone worried and suspicious of each other."
He did however, wondered a bit about the scrambled database, after all it could be useful when they're here. Any bit of extra data could be used as a bargaining tool, no matter what they decide to do in the end.
"Have you checked it up with the research team? See if they can solve the problems and recover the system. In times like this, we need every bit of useful materials that we could get out hands on, and data are no different."

"I suspect that there's a high level infiltrator somewhere back home. Probably another Zeon Remnant group, those never seem to go away entirely. Regardless, as Mr. Wong said, they're stuck with us here now so they had better make the best of it. The ones back in our own time, we'll just have to hope get found out by the Federation and SNRI's internal divisions. I'm not entirely convinced with their competence to let this happen at all to begin with, and with all the key suspects being on here with us, I suspect they'll be going to ground and waiting for news in the form of us returning...or not doing so at all." Captain Harmattan said at last while his face remained buried in the report. Every now and then he'd flipped a page. For the most part he agreed with James, making a huge issue about it now would just fracture the tentative peace.
"If we find a way back, we'll worry about it then. For now, anyone left that didn't take part in the mutiny probably realizes it's in their best interests to play along. Don't go out of your way to make noises about looking for spies, but keep your eyes and ears peeled. We don't want to hurt morale firstly, and we don't want them to know we're looking secondly. It would make things harder, and make it more difficult to convince the rebels in custody to work with us later on if we need it. But do try to quietly filter out those members of your team you think you can trust from those you can't. Your division is the one we can't risk being compromised more than any other." The captain ordered at once, closing the folder and tucking it under his arm to keep for future reference. The datapad was handed back to Miriam to reuse and keep for her own records.
"Good work on the report either way. If you find out more, report it myself and the Commander here directly. If the research team can't fix that code, try taking it to the gun captain. Maybe he can work something out." Whatever that data was, the captain wanted it. There data files were invaluable here, they contained not just vital ship statistics but also reports on important sections of history. Any of it could prove a huge boon in the right context.
"What kind of data is this, exactly? Do you think the spies scrambled it to hide something from us?"

Lint gave her report with expected answer from the Captain. Of course for now they will have to deal with this and problems will come up anyways.
"Understood, just to advise I suggest we try to keep an eye on everyone from the crew. Now we are in the past if someone gets bright idea to try to change it could have unforeseen problems. Whoever or whatever group had plan if they attempt to change history to their own benefit it might be best to prevent that. After all we must preserve that if something drastic changes it might end up worse situation then it already was.", Miriam added.
"As for researchers I will have them try to see if they can try to fix the databanks. If not I will follow your advise on asking 'that' man for help. Even if it doesn't feel right to me.", Miriam soon replied.
Oh course she didn't like the man the Captain suggested. Too many issues with people on this ship and she is stuck with all of them.
"Anything else Captain?", Miriam then asked.

The captain gave a solemn nod at Miriam's conclusion. "I came to the same realization. The problem is that there are over 300 people on this ship, and we can't watch all of them. Someone might decide to try to make a break for it now that we're on Earth. We'll have to do our best to stop it where we can. The good part about going back in time so far is we can't accurately affect our own immediate future. No one will be warning their past selves to not invest in Frontier Side, for instance. The wiser people will realize changing anything this far back will risk their own interests, and their own lives, never coming to be. The not so wise...let's just hope we catch them before they do anything stupid."
He turned away from her, not commenting on her opinions on the crew. She could hold whatever thoughts she wanted, as long as she remained on professional standings with everyone. If not, he'd come down on everyone involved like a ton of bricks.
"Before you came in, I was just about to warn all officers ahead of time to expect me to break the news to the general crew once we reach Palau. You included, of course. Be ready to help your staff adjust, I'll be looking for all of you to help me underline the seriousness of the situation. Commander Wong expects that some of them already know, the cannier ones, and he's probably right. Everyone else will be in for a rude awakening. Dismissed, Lieutenant." Harmattan said, giving a wave to signal that he was done and that she was free to go.

"Yes Sir!", Miriam soon saluted to the Captain and the Commander.
With that she soon begins to take her leave, now that they know what to do Miriam has a lot of work to do now.
Meanwhile in Zephyr's Room
"I wonder how hard it is to work in the kitchen... two weeks... not that bad. I remember helping the Chefs at the mansion back in the day. That was sure fun.", Zephyr soon stated with a smile.
Little did he know hell was about to be brought to him.

It was a few days later when they finally arrived at Hong Kong, and under disguise of a civilian ship, are able to convince the city to let them dock. The past few days aren't too bad for most of the crew, they received the news of their arrival at the past, and had different reactions to it. Some cried, some raged, some accepted it as fate. The crew also had different ideas on what to do, but mostly, the chiefs of different departments were able to calm down their men, and get them to go as normal, at least for now.
"What kind of peeling is this!? Half the potato is gone!"
However the two that are helping around in the kitchen, sure wouldn't be having a good time. Ted is not one to be friendly with those that made him angry, or pretty much anyone that he doesn't respect, and on this ship that's pretty much everyone but the Captain, the EO, and his own team. Ted gave as much work to the two as he did for most of his crew, which is quite a bit of a problem when the two aren't professional chefs, so more yelling and death threats gets thrown their way. If the other chefs didn't hold back their chief, he would have toasted the two already. But he only gets angry when the two screws up, when they're working just fine Ted didn't bother them, in fact he treats them the same as the other chefs... which is still not that great, but at least it's not down to outright horrible.
-
"I believe we should try to set up some sort of connections with the city, so that we can have a stable route of supplies. Perhaps we can talk to some of the more powerful Corporations in the city, and use our knowledge of history as leverage to work out a deal. We can work for them in exchange for payments and supplies, and set up an actual base of operation here if possible."
However James is not too convinced that everything would go the way they plan. Hong Kong is a very small city, yet it is filled with people from all places, and at the same time are firmly controlled by several powerful corporations. It might be a bit difficult to choose the right one to work with, assuming they accept the deal that they suggests.
"I suggest we warn them about the danger of the coming war, and advise them on who to work with. Though right now Zeon had the advantage after defeating the EFF fleet, we know from history that the captured Revil would be rescued, and the war would continue. If we tell them about this in advance, and a few more historic happening such as the Antarctic Treaty, we could convince them of our identity. However to work out a deal we might need a bit more than words, perhaps some of the designs of the more modern production machines could be enough for them to accept. If you agree with this plan then I volunteer to be one of the members of the negotiation team, they might open up a bit more when dealing with someone of their own race."

Hong Kong was a curious kind of city. Every earth city was curious, the captain soon corrected himself. It was odd to be able to look up and not see the other side of the colony over your head, and it was so...open. Even for an urban center. The Jovian looked to be out of his element, and most of his time when not on duty was spent trying to adjust. It was even worse out on the deserted islands, at least here, he felt a little at home.
"I appreciate the offer and accept your request to lead the negotiation, Commander. I suspect that the vast majority of the people on Earth at this time have never seen someone like me before. They won't really start to for another 30 years, either. I think I'd creep them out more than put them at ease."
"I'm wary of trading them designs if we can help it. Historical data for sure, and perhaps economic as well if we can pull any out of the logs. If Hong Kong were to suddenly pull ahead of even Zeon in the arms race, I think we'd be tampering with things a little much. If we have schematics of anything older than what's in our hangars, I'd be much more willing to trade those. We might just, being our ship came from an arms manufacturer. It's worth a shot. Perhaps rather than full suits, we could trade schematics to a suit's compact fusion reactor? Surely that would be useful on its own." He suggested while watching the traffic outside of their dock cut by. The cars weren't even electric, how wasteful. A frown tugged at the corners of his mouth.
"I believe I read in the history books that Hong Kong eventually gets destroyed, I suppose we could hold that card as well. But let's try to keep to only selling current events as best we're able, and only move onto bigger ones if they prove hard to crack. I wouldn't mind saving this city though, it is...interesting." In truth he respected the people who lived here. This city did what entire nations could not; defy the Federation and remain free. It was an impressive feat.
"I trust your judgement, so you have my approval to go ahead with the plan and do what needs to be done. I just ask that you be conservative and give me a full report when you're done. Make sure you take some of Miriam's men with you, just in case they decide to try and wring what we know out of us instead of playing nice. Just try not to come on too strong with a pro Federation front. We know that they win, but the people here clearly fought hard to not join with them. I'd frame things in a way to let them exploit both sides." He said as his personal recommendation. James might not realize it since he was from Earth, but there was a lot of resentment out there from those who weren't, and he imagined the people here felt the same too. They might see getting too cozy with the EFF as giving up sovereignty...and they might be right, judging from what historically happened to side 6.

Another one... Drat. Zephyr continue cutting potatoes but though he cooked as a kid. Against a professional chef of course he wouldn't last the day and being yelled at... it was boot camp again. Rico was on the verge of quitting though as he was unable to take it much longer. It took Zephyr to calm him before he did something drastic... like poison the entire crew.
"Rico calm down... just 14 days of this... unless there is a big battle then there is that.", Zephyr soon stated as he cut another potato.
"But but Zephyr we suppose to be piloting!! Not cooking and it wasn't even our fault!!", Rico complained.
"Just relax... being the past might be best if we didn't pilot. I mean if someone saw the even the Heavygun wouldn't know how advance it is to this era.", Zephyr pointed out.
"Why meeee....!", Rico cried.
Elsewhere Miriam was keeping an eye on everything. A lot of work yes, but she had to do her job. Though part of her wished to go shopping... some things that only could be gotten from Hong Kong. After all the city itself no longer exists in her time so it could of been a great idea.
"Oh well.. work before pleasure.", Miriam muttered.

James thinks about a few other things they could trade in mind, and making note of what the Captain suggests to him.
"I understand, I'll talk to them as a member of a more... resourceful group. Perhaps we could trade them the information on Luna Titanium, that compound would be developed in a few months, so even if the information gets leaked it would not affect the power balance. They would not be able to directly make any of the material themselves, but I suspect they would use it to trade with large corporations such as Anaheim Electrics. In that case it would not alter history, and would still reach the hands of the EFF... perhaps a bit earlier, but it is a minor difference."
He then looks over a list of possible personnel that he could take with him, at first he was only considering the security team, but then he realize that the other crew members would not be busy with their jobs while they are docked anyways.
"I'll head into the city today after taking the data that I need, kindly await for the good news."
He goes over and taps on Marumi's shoulder, who turns slightly and looks up at him, wondering if she is needed.
"I got permission to take a few members with me, so come, I need a secretary to look more... professional."
"Um... yes sir."
She looks at her job and back at the Commander for a bit, before reaching an agreement in her mind that this is still apart of her job. The two then leaves the bridge.
"Whose else would be coming with us?"
"I took a look at the list, and decided we may as well take those that have nothing to do at all, but have some level of combat ability."
"Nothing to do at all...?"
-
"Nothing to do indeed, they sure aren't too helpful."
The two was watching the pair from outside the kitchen, Ted saw them and went outside to talk to them instead.
"What do you want now? Those two are less useful than that 'automatic egg cracker' thing that the supply team brought over last time, you gonna dump anymore kids on me?"
"Ah, no. Sorry about that, I was expecting them to be slightly more helpful than that."
"Hmph, what do you expect? Kids nowadays don't even know how to fry an egg, they'll be more useful if I kill them and use their corpses as fuel."
The two sweats at what the Chef suggested doing, but James quickly recovers and suggests something more safe than turning their crews to dust.
"Don't worry, I'll be taking them away, trust me I'll shape them up so they won't ever do it again."
"Take them then, it's better to have them gone than here, before they piss me off so much that they accidentally dive into the furnace."
"Will do."
-
"Ensign Tenjo, Ensign Burbon. You two are to go with the Commander on his mission, and keep the other members save at all cost. While you're on shore, I expect you two to be on your best behavior, and not cause any problems for the Commander."
"Now now, we don't have to be overly serious here. Hopefully our trip out will no attract too much attentions, but we can keep it quiet, right Ensigns?"
Standing in front of the two, we have Marumi giving the two a talk just to be safe, after all these two are still not off the hook on what they had done before. James nudge them a bit more with his own bit, but clearly explained his intentions.
"We'll go armed, but for concealment purposes we will only be bringing a sidearm... Marumi, you know how to shoot, right?"
"I have fully completed my training sir."
"But you haven't killed anyone yet, so here's an advice. Your enemies will not hesitate in battle, kill them first, then think about your moral conflicts afterwards. That goes the same for you two, in case you need it. We'll also have to change out of our uniforms, all of you should put on something private, and meet me at the deck in thirty minutes."
-
"When I said private, I was expecting something more... casual."
"Sorry sir, all I have are clothes like this."
James himself is wearing a regular jacket over a shirt, the kind of set up that you'll sure to see if you look at the streets, perfect to hide his identity. But Marumi is another story, she's wearing something closer to a school uniform than something actual casual. Not that her clothes are actual uniforms, but after putting them on, she gives off an aura of someone in school.(See Profile for picture) Although it's a set of uniform, the style seems to fit her well, and attracting looks from other crew members that passes by. They do however, stop immediately when they see the XO waiting next to her, everyone knows these two aren't exactly forgiven when it comes to delivering reasonable punishments.
As they wait, the two chats a bit while checking the sidearm and data that they have brought with them. Pretty soon it's pass 30 minutes, and Marumi looks kind of annoying at the other two not being on time, while James just leans on the side and wait. Although the gathering location is a bit far from the pair, 30 minutes should be just enough time for them to arrive if they move quick, they would however, be late if they took their time to get here.
