The Jovian was shocked to see Zephyr surface at all, let alone make it back to the ship. That was a relief, and the timing couldn't have been better; the trio landing just before the explosion. He covered his eyes briefly, but urged himself and his crew back into action to exploit the situation to the fullest.
"Put the engines to maximum, now! Get us out of here and link back up with the remaining transports. I want a medical team and our mechanics at the hangar immediately to salvage what we can. Of the suits and their owners." Ordered the CO, who couldn't help but wonder if the pilots were in much better shape than their machines. Even on the monitor, the flint looked trashed.
While that was going on they sped away from the combat zone alongside the cargo freighters, ideally the Jukons wouldn't give chase. Even if they did they would have a hefty lead by this time, and the Spacenoids had their own repairs and maintenance to do now too. The bigger concern is if they'd run into another patrol, one more naval battle and there might not be a ship left to defend.
"There's something to be said for those MSM's. I'm starting to wonder why no one else ever made any successful ones after the Zeonic Wars, outside of rebel fringe groups. They're clearly very powerful for their size." The captain mused, as he reclined back in his chair to peer up at the ceiling. "Then again, after this fight, that might change. I wonder if it will make Zeon produce more Experiment Types, as I recall, they never got very far in our timeline."
"At any case, let's hope that was the only flotilla in the area. I can't say I'm looking forward to crossing California Base, I can only imagine the garrison there will be bigger and running on a tighter patrol schedule."
