History:
A small clan that was formed several generations ago. Originally started by a merchant that obtained his position by donating to the Exion Clan, they were not seen as an important asset, just another as a small noble under their clan. But they have shown their ability and connections as a merchant, and proved to be useful in developing Exion, for this deed they were then granted the ownership of Gransela, a small village in Exion. It took many years, but the small village eventually got developed into a medium size town, enough to feed a small army. So then they were allowed to keep a small army of their own for protection, and to call upon when necessary, becoming one of the few members of the Exion Clan with military ability.
The Gransela Clan went into a decline when their leader met an untimely fate, died protecting the Exion clan leader in an ambush, along with much of their men. They are however, promised that they would be taken great care of until the new Gransela leader are old enough to take their own responsibility, so the city itself went fine without much problems. But because of this, many women filled up some of the empty positions in the clan, so it's fairly common to see a female officer or minister in Gransela.
Several years later, the only child of the former Gransela leader took charge, and show that he has the ability to run the city and clan without the help of the Exion Clan. To keep his promise the Exion leader returned the ownership to the Gransela Clan, in return, the new leader swears his loyalty to the Duke, promising that he'll fight for the Exion clan.

Land:
As Exion already have a large economy based on the trade of crops, it would be difficult to do the same and make more profit than any other place in the area. Instead, Gransela place more emphasis on domestic animals for their meat and pelts, spices of different kinds are also grew and used commonly in their dishes and for preserving food. Their meat and dairy produce are very famous, and are used as gifts to other clans, or even tributes to the King at times. Dried meat are also used as rations for the military, and became one of their main product along with their spices. Due to the hobby and taste of the past few Gransela lords, Gransela tends to have a very high level in the quality of their chefs, many rich clans have chefs from Gransela cooking their food.
The large amount of grassland, combined with areas of forests shaped their tactics to focus more on mobility and firepower, making them a fearsome opponent for their size, more so when the rich Exion clan fund and supply them.
