The Grand Cafeteria, poorly named though it may be, still houses several high class chefs from all corners of the Empire. It is furnished with fine tables made of rare yamba lumber and engraved by great artists such as Maximus Rex or Ralph the Indignant. The massive chandelier in the center floats with the aide of a magnetic system that keeps it rotating beautifully.
Patriel had not frequented it since he had arrived. He didn't want to get used to fine foods if he were to return home and be stuck with ration bars or MREs. However that was irrelevant now. There was a single purpose to him coming here. He zeroed in on Ardashir Sassanid, heir to Lesser House Sassanid.
Calmly walking to the young man's table. He waited until he had his attention. When he didn't seem to notice. Patriel flung his knife in the center of the table and all eyes from the table, subsequently the whole cafeteria, turned to him.
"Ardashir Sassanid! I, Patriel Sarcanus, Marquis of House Sarcanus do challenge you to a Duel of Honor!" Patriel boomed out across the cafeteria. An intense expression on his face.
"What slight did I commit against your House?!" Demanded Ardashir.
"Your House attempting to probe into the air space of our warships. And the assassin that I caught in my room." He responded confidently.
"What!?" Ardashir said slamming his hand on the table and rising to meet Patriel's eyes.
"I won't back down. Accept the duel or backdown and sligth your Honor." Patriel said with a fierce gaze.
At this moment. Ardashir could simply take the slight. It wasn't as though he would physically lose something. And the slights against his honor aren't set in stone somewhere. However simply word of mouth from the school can reach out into the greater politics of the Empire, even to the Imperial Court, or the Emperor himself.
"I, Ardashir Sassanid accept the challenge." Replied Ardashir in the strongest voice he could muster.
