Zeta would have been way better with a different protag. Then again most Tomino-directed Gundam series are like that... whiney little bitch as the main character who never really does man up.

I think Amuro man's up in the end. At least by Zeta he seems to have really manned up.
Camile compared to Amuro is quite the little bitch. Amuro is tactical and knows how to fight a battle. Camile just acts the part of a teen in a mech. Just running around attacking whoever and bitching a lot. The fact the show degenerates more into duels between pilots and less like a battlefield always bugged me.
There was always a sense of desperation in MSG that I didn't really feel in Zeta.
