Unit Creation
Infantry
Step 1: Determine the base price for your unit. Infantry have only one option.
Base Price: $10
Step 2: Choose what type of armor you want your unit to have.
Armor Type:
Nothing (Free)
Leather $5
Steel $15
Ceramic $25
Composite $40
Step 3: Choose what coverage of armor you want your unit to have.
Armor Coverage:
1 - Partial
2 - Light
3 - Medium
4 - Heavy
Formula:
Base Price + (Armor Type * Armor Coverage) = Unit Price (Unarmed)
This is the price for your unit armored, but without weapons.
Step 4: Choose weapons for your unit. Infantry can use melee and guns of various types, as well as shields for defense.
The type of melee weapon you use is up to you. All you must determine is the material it is made of. Compact weapons such as knives are half price of normal sized weapons. There is no formula involved - simply add the price for your melee weapon to your existing Unit Price.
Melee Weapons:
Wood $2
Steel $4
Ceramic $8
Composite $16
Compact Weapons: (Knives, Concealed Blades, etc.)
Wood $1
Steel $2
Ceramic $4
Composite $8
Infantry may also use guns, but only of certain types. For infantry, there is no formula involved - simply add the price for your gun to your existing Unit Price.
Gun Type:
Bow & Arrows $5
# A basic bow with arrows. Skilled archers can fire several arrows quickly in succession.
Crossbow $10
# A slow-firing but powerful alternative to a bow. A crossbow sacrifices range and speed for power.
Pistol (Semi-Auto) $40
# A small sidearm. Best used at close or medium range.
Rifle (One-Shot) $80
# A standard rifle with superior power over a pistol. Best used at medium or long range.
Repeater (Semi-Auto) $120
# A standard rifle with a higher rate of fire. Firing quickly can reduce accuracy.
Long Rifle (One-Shot) $120
# A scoped, high-power rifle specialized for long and extreme range sniping.
Flamethrower $100
# A close-range anti-infantry weapon that can lob over some cover or completely burn down others. Flamethrowers can be devastating to enemy morale. Vulnerable to exploding if shot in a fuel tank.
Machinegun (Full-Auto) $200
# A medium range anti-infantry weapon. Can be powerful against groups of enemies and larger targets but lacks overall accuracy.
Hand-Cannon (Semi-Auto) $150
# An anti-armor weapon, useful mostly against heavily armored infantry and vehicles. Rounds explode on impact.
Bayonet:
# Attaches a bayonet to a rifle, repeater, or similar weapon. A bayonet allows rifleman to fight as a spearman in close range.
Steel $2
Ceramic $4
Composite $8
Step 5: Choose a shield, which is optional. Shields are used as secondary defense from attacks or even as weapons at close range. The method for determining their price is similar to weapons.
Shield Type:
Wood $1
Steel $2
Ceramic $4
Composite $8
Shield Style:
1 - Arm Shield
# A small shield covering only a forearm, useful for deflecting slashing blades.
2 - Round Shield
# A medium shield covering the arm and some of the body.
3 - Long Shield
# A large shield with nearly full-body coverage.
Formula:
Shield Type * Shield Style = Shield Price
Add this value onto your Unit Price, just like a weapon.
