Recently I started playing Minecraft... more fun than I expected when I saw my brother playing it, so I went and pay for the game. Yeah, it's a great game, I really like all the things they're making available with it. Be it official patches/updates or 3rd party mods. Speaking of Minecraft: minecraftteacher.net/I found this interesting. A guy in NY actually teaches kids lessons using Minecraft.

Space Pirates and Zombies (SPAZ) www.spacepiratesandzombies.com/Created by: MinMax Games This game is a great throwback to old games the likes of which you rarely see anymore. The creators of the game are an indie development company called MinMax, which as far as I know is made up of only two people. The fact that these two guys could make this game, even though still in beta, is amazing to me. "SPAZ", at its core, is a 2D Sci-Fi Space Shooter/RPG. There are over a dozen ships with various hardpoints, dozens of weapons and technologies, and various tech areas to upgrade each level you gain. Your "experience" is picked up in certain situations as data, which earns you research points to upgrade things like cannons, beams, engines, reactors, etc. The depth of this game is great, and I highly recommend it. Check out this Beta Release Vidya:youtu.be/xpW1PGLVdnE"Space Pirates and Zombies takes place far enough in the future that Earth has become a toxic backwater planet, so potentially not that far in the future. The galaxy has been colonized by humans, and the only means to travel to new star systems is through highly restricted and well defended warp gates. It is well known that systems closer to the galactic core become richer and richer as well as more scientifically advanced. This has led to theories of a secret system with a cache of treasure or knowledge at the galactic core feeding this growth. As a pirate, you must assemble a fleet and discover what treasure awaits you there."A DEMO is available for anyone interested at all. I recommend you at least give that a try and maybe even consider buying the game, which is 25% off during beta. I give this game an extra large Seal of Approval.
