Storage of the happenings so far in the test run.

It was another quiet day at the head office for the Heroes group known as the Glory, recently they haven't got any jobs to deal with villians, and for some strange reasons the area nearby seems to be completely in order without any accidents or crime. Normally this sounds like a great thing, but to heroes that pretty much feed off these problems, no problem means no pay. Some Heroes work to protect the world, that's fine and dandy, but many more of them did it as a job. Jobs that don't pay, is the same as volunteering, which don't fill up the fridge with food.
One such hero that's caught in this kind of situation is "Mad Smasher" James, whose laying on the sofa and just watching TV while waiting for some new job to come in, with little luck.

With the days getting hardest the luck, Cohen was looking at the email box on the table in the same room as James. To his side he had coffee, well he had to have Coffee especially with all the drinking lately. His computer screen shown the usual, hero saves day at some other city and how much fame they were getting. Actually this is becoming an annoyance? Where the hell is the work damn you? Why as their producer not shown up for days now? When is their leader the actually going to show up to work? All this he soon did a large sigh as he closed his Laptop. "This totally sucks...", he finally commented.
This is not a shocker as Cohen has been known as a troublesome hero for other reasons not like his fellow team mate at Team Glory. Actually who named their team glory when they always fuck up and actually do the opposite. Ever since he beat Golden Eagle into a bloody pulp which he totally deserved The Pitman brand name is at the lowest levels since like ever.

When the two are waiting for something new to happen, in comes their producer, a middle age man with a cigar in his mouth. If you ask James, he'll say their producer looks more like a Mafia boss, or Churchill, than a producer for a heroes group. "Lets hear it, you got work for us, right?" James sat up and turned slightly towards their producer, who grunts and grabbed the cigar aside to speak. "Well if someone haven't gone and mess with a large hero organization, maybe we won't have to look under the carpet to find changes to live on." James just shrugs, not really his fault that a certain co-worker decided to do it, nor did he have any intention to stop him. He never liked one of those rich, smug looking guys anyways, especially the ones with some hot women around them.
"I'm not the one responsible, so go talk to the miner instead. I just sit here, waiting for you to get a new job." He was referring to Cohen, he have seen the name Pitman in some old game before, resembling some tiny miners so he decided to call him just that from time to time. "Don't give me that crap, I know you do more than just sit there all day, I've seen you coming out from different rooms with Senkawa down in reception. You're not paid to fool around with our employees you know." He looks a bit irritated at James, who doesn't seem to care, and just waiting for the producer to carry on. The producer knew James won't be changing anytime soon, so he simply continues
"Our friends with the yellow birdy's been grabbing all the jobs they could get their hands on, no thanks to Cohen over there. I managed to get this one right under the radar, don't mess it up or you two would be eating dust for a while." He gave the two some files, about a newbie villian that's been gaining infamy recently, someone called the Battle Ox. The Battle Ox seems to be the more transformative type, turning into what seems to be a minotaur, wearing some scrap metal armor and holding a stop sign as a weapon.
"Find him. Arrest him, or disable him waist down, I don't care as long as he's not a bloody pulp." That's how they tend to do it, Cohen's ability is not very flexible in terms of arresting people, and James' ability requires him to beat people to a pulp so there's not much choices here. "Now get the hell out of here, electricity costs money, so does maternity pay if we let the casanova over there have too much fun with some of our girls in the office."

When the producer came in which he felt came out an old world war reel everytime damn time he saw his face he soon sighed a breath of relief. Usually he only shows up for one thing... a job has finally come in. Upon hearing the reason he internally cursed the man who not only ruined his reputation but took the woman he loved away, got her pregnant and now taking away his job too. "Hey, hey he kinda of deserved it ok?" When James added the Miner comment he soon shrugs, "Maybe I should become a career Miner then."
This of course was sarcastic and quite a thing to say which is looking like the joke might actually become a real thing soon. Then hearing of James Exploits he then chirps, "Don't forget Alice across the Street or the one middle eastern chick at the convience store. Oh and that one black girl at the club, oh oh and that one asian massage chick too." He had to add all the times he heard the sound of slapping all the time and it gotten annoying. Especially for a forever alone super hero, if there was a shut in Super Hero ever existed? Well he would be the first you see in the text book.
Rabite
(wait wait, if there's successes, it's not forever alone! D: )
Nahum Orizabal
Now heariing of this new villian he soon promptly looked over the file which he got a very bad feeling about this. 'Why Do I get a feeling this guy is going to be annoying...' Which added to the whole what they deal with the ask to do not make a bloody pulp is going to make the job so much harder.

"You do realize we are going to fight a villian that is like out of a Greek Myth right? I cannot gurantee it won't be messy but this is a Minotaur type for crying out loud.", Cohen pointed out which is for once 100% correct. But then again if they fuck up again... oh he doesn't want to see the Producer's face when that occurs. Still without the 'Captain', aka the leader not about this is just gotten much much harder. Upon hearing time to leave he soon got up from his chair then says, "Alright alright... let's just do this... *Though I got a feeling this is going to turn out badly* Let's go Mr. Casanova, before you become the father of your grandfather." With that Cohen goes to get his costume from his room.

James was up and going already, the kind of hero that everyone knows the identity of, the ones that don't wear a costume as a symbol. He went down stairs, and could be found talking to the reception that the producer talked about earlier, a beautiful young woman with a braided side ponytail. "...and then the bulldog was sneering at Cohen like he usually does... Ah there you are, been waiting for you." He waved the woman good bye before leaving through the front entrance, filling Cohen as they go about what he found out. "While I was waiting for you to choose a pair of matching panties, I went and found out where the target tends to hang out, down at the slums near Timberhills, It cost me almost 50 bucks for that, I expect to get that back from your cut afterwards."
Who did he paid the money to? The reception he was talking to earlier of course, a very, very money-conscious person, whatever relationships she had with the hero does not seem to bring the price down at all. In fact, if Cohen asked her, she'll probably raise the price to a hundred. Perhaps that's why the other hero seems to be eating quite poor recently, with half of his pay disappearing, and neither of them even gave a thought about a solid relationship at all! "We'll take one of the Bulldog's car, we can give him the receipts for gas afterwards."
Soon the two drove off to the Timberhills slum, an area that used to have a lumber focus in terms of industry, but quickly turned into a neighborhood of the poor and unfortunate after all the forest are mowed down by greedy merchants. James parked the car outside the neighborhood, guessing it might get stolen if he parks it in the slum, and he's got no extra money to pay back for a lost car. "Ask around and see what you can find, you know my number, make use of it since it's highly rare I hand that out to men." Saying that, he heads off down another alley as well. If Cohen looks quickly, he might see his teammate stopping by someone that's clearly a pimp, who pointed the hero down towards a building with unknown intentions.
Nahum Orizabal
Ah James and his own way of thinking never cease to amaze Cohen, it is true almost all heroes secret indentity becomes very easily recognizable as time passes on. Some like a certain Golden Eagle's family very own family name is now a full world wide brand, the Bold Family which own their very own mini nation in the middle of the fucking pacific and call it The City of Bold. God he could make so many meme's out of that but now was not the time. Still he needed his costume but some that is still very ingrained in his mind from his mentor.
"Yes a pair of panties that I been using since I got it recreated. I need it to match my very good looks. ", Cohen replied sarcastically. In truth the reason he was taught a hero is not meant to work for money no, a true hero will save someone without glory or fame even if it means the cost of their reputation. Sometimes you needed to get your hands dirty to save everyone and sometimes you will become hated for it. The Costume was not a symbol of fame no it was a Symbol of Justice. To Save those who cannot save themselves. He kept using his costume even as its lost its luster in color. He had to sow it back up himself clean the stains off every time he got it dirty. He as well had to use whatever to try to maintain his costume to maintain his strain of his power but even that was at its limit. In fact he looked like a Hobo Super Hero to some compared to the flash of other heroes.
Nahum Orizabal
(basically imagine a Batman like costume but in ruins and militarized but all patched up)
(Or even Owlman like form Watchman)
Nahum Orizabal
"Oh I sure, if we even get paid again that is.", Cohen replied when knowing full well where he got that info from. Most of his money of course has been going to booze but that was for another time. "Well as long we don't blow up the car like last time... seriously makes me miss my old bike, never again will she ride.", Cohen soon commented the loss of his actual vehicle he used before everything went to shit and his career kept on going higher. One could say Team Glory was truly the opposite you expect a hero team to be, to use a regular car and even have a struggle to have a few dollars on hand. As they soon arrived outside the slums he soon adds, "Lets hope no one gets smart and try to jack us.", Cohen as they finally parked.
Nahum Orizabal
As they soon begin to split up Cohen soon looked back at his team mate to see a pimp who pointed to a certain building. If this was anything he soon shrugged on the expected route he would take for info. Which many men tell secrets to prositutes when they were drunk. "Why am I not shocked.", he soon commented as he soon looked for a ladder in the alley way.
Now one would wonder why is he climbing up the ladder but not using his power to simply jump up? A Waste of his gear's strain of course. In the old days 12 years ago when he was a fresh out of Hero Academy of California, Justice City he would simply jump to the top. But now? Its sort of sad, as he soon finally got to the top he soon looked over at the cramped slums from all directions. One nice thing about this horrible place everything was easy to access from the roof. He knew his target but he needed to first take a look around everywhere. His route was more traditional in a sense, to try to overhear anything he soon took out an old outdated special hearing aide he had to keep working as best he could. He soon took out another device which looked old school. 'Old Man I would never think I would use your old gear from the 60s and 70s in this day and age but I will use what I got.'
He sooon would go to each building put the device to the roof and try to hear anything note worthy. He would do this to each roof well he looked around for anything suspicions as he did so.

Perhaps a bit over an hour later, Cohen would receive a call on his cellphone, and out comes his teammate's voice. "I got something, the Ox's got a gang with him, with a chicago bull on their arm as proof. Why Chicago when we're not even remotely near the area beats me, but go find a few and smack them up, that should give us a lead." You could swear that there's a woman's voice in the background, but that should be minor detail compared to the link. "Tell me what you find, I'll meet you there then."
It won't be too hard to find, if Cohen ask around, the people in the slum would point him towards the general direction where the so call Minotaurs gang hangs out. Despite their boss being classified as a villian, the other gang members seems to be regular human, weak grunts. But their numbers might pose a threat if not careful, and who knows if they might pack some blades, or even a few guns. As Cohen goes around to check up on the situation, he would encounter a trio of shady looking characters waiting for him. The three clearly have the noted tattoo that James talked about earlier, looks like these are the members of the gang.

"Hey, douchebag. You've been catching quite some attention around haven't you?" One of them spoke to him first, holding a baseball bat in his hands, which he uses to hit his hand as a way to threat the hero. "What kind of costume is that suppose to be anyways? A rip off of that old guy... what's his name... Pipboy?" Another has a bike chain hanging from his hand, a quite dangerous weapon if used correctly, you sure won't want to get struck by one of those. "I heard someone knocked out Big Kurt over at Barns' brothel, must be the Detective Boy here." Actually it was James who did it, after hearing about the poor condition and treatment from his... informatives. The misinformed one is carrying a hunting knife, surely big enough to cut and stab through a person, and he seems like the kind to make use of it.

"Why are we even talking to him anyways? Sic' em and get back to the booze!" It was the second guy that attacked first, swinging downwards towards Cohen with his bike chains, attacking without a warning in order to carry out a surprise attack.
