James was still in the middle of organizing his moral and duty when he heard the Captain speak, without letting his thoughts appear on his face, he quickly reply with his own suggestions.
"There are both benefits and risks on going to Earth. The Minovsky Craft on this ship are not enough to keep it in the air for a long period of time, so our main travels would have to be by water. After the colony drop, the waves of the ocean are a lot more rougher, something that the RNX-SS-P1 was not designed for. However it would be a lot easier to avoid detection, and it would be easier to obtain supplies from the coastal cities. As our reports show, we originally had enough food and water to last roughly a month... but not anymore, apparently the security roughed up the fridges too much during their operations, and we're stuck with a small amount of dried food... oh and we're out of salt, it got pushed down the drains by an... Ensign Tenjo... under Commander Lint, I really hope the rest of her team are better than that."
Food is not the only problem either. The number of medical supplies would get quite short, judging from the number of injured personnel, and would be close to zero if they have to take care of the former spies too. And if they travel to a location far from Earth, such as Side 3 or Mars, they would lack fuel too. The only thing they have plenty of, are missiles, and railgun projectiles.
"Going to Earth would be a safer choice, judging by our stocks. In the sea we'll be able to travel by turbine to conserve fuel, and perhaps try to get something edible in the sea too. If we stay in space for too long we would bound to be discovered, while on Earth the only one we'll actually have to worry about, are Zeonic Marine MS which have not been developed yet."
They lack everything but weapons, which makes sense, they're a warship and not a supply ship. If they stay in space, they might have to start robbing people soon.

"Hold that thought, one man destroyed our entire salt stockpile? And he's one of our only pilots?" The look on the captain's face was priceless, a mixture of scorn and disbelief. It was a good thing that Tenjo wasn't up here or he would probably smack him. Repeatedly.
"Unbelievable. The chef will have my head for that. He's one of the finest to work for the SNRI, and his services didn't come cheap." An eye roll. Of all the luck. "If he asks, direct him to Tenjo. He can clean up his own mess."
It was starting to sound like Earth was the better choice. But he wanted to know all of his options first. Even if they couldn't get to side 3, there was still the Moon.
"Side 6 probably doesn't have an abundance of fuel to trade, we'll be nickeledd and dimed, and resources will be tighter than on the Earth. What do we know about the neutral colonies on the Moon at this era?"

Miriam began to search every room as well all nooks and crannies one could hide weapons. It would be a long process as they soon entered the food section only to find the place ransacked by someone.
"Uhh did someone get here before us?", Miriam soon asked one of her Security personnel.
"None Ma'am, in fact its first time coming here since the entire things went down.", the Security reported.
"And looks like they ruined our food stockpiles... who in the world could do this.", Miriam soon pondered and began to investigate the kitchens.
Meanwhile in the hangar bay.
Zephyr soon sneezed if someone was talking about him.
"This is a drag still on yellow alert and nothing to do.", Rico said sitting in his cockpit.
"I know... nothing we can do... but I got a strange feeling someone is spreading lies about me.", Zephyr soon said as he drank a pouch of juice he had.

"I would recommend against it. The moon cities at the time claims to be neutral, but many historic sources say that they maintained a strong connection with the Zeons in hopes of obtaining independence themselves. Granada are also one of the major Zeonic bases, so if we do get close to the moon it'll be highly likely that we'll be discovered."
In a way, traveling to the moon is the worse option they could pick if they plan to stay neutral. The chances of getting discover is as high as if you would charge straight for Side 3, and the moon lack resources that could otherwise be found on Earth. However there is one major resource that could be obtained there, Helium-3, which the moon has a fair deposit of.
-
Mean while at the kitchen, when he heard news of the arrival of the security team, he storms into the storage.
"Miriam~!! I've been looking for you all day!! You want to explain to me about this kid?!"
A strange man with a flaming red Mohican hair, with some stitches on the side of his head, and more muscular than most body builders. Getting right in the Chief of Security's face is the only boss of this whole branch, Lieutenant Ted Broiler. Though there are others with a higher rank than him, unless you want to be eating salt and dry pasta for weeks, you won't want to get this guy angry... and that's exactly how he is at the moment.
"Your damn kid wasted most of our seasonings and ingredients earlier! Don't tell me excuses because half the kitchen crew saw his face! Hand him over so I can burn his last bit of DNA to ashes!!"
To clearly show he's not joking, he's got some sort of makeshift flame thrower on his back, made with a pair of fuel tank that the kitchen uses for cooking.
"I don't know what the hell he did, but the camera clearly showed him and his little friend going in! If I don't hear some damn good explanation from your team then the only meat you'll be eating until next month would be jerky of your unchained pets! And that goes for the rest of you!!"
He points at the others of the security team, before kicking them out and slamming the door... leaving some of the other chefs outside.
".....Eh... sorry Lieutenant Commander, but you know how the boss is like when he's angry. But it's true, the only one that went in besides the rest of us are the two Ensign, and one of the mutineer that the boss himself fried. Look his body is still over there by the corner."
The chef points at a chunk of semi-humanoid shaped charcoal on the side, looks like that makeshift flame thrower is more than effective at it's job.
"The reports were sent up to the bridge earlier, and they have came to the same conclusion on whose responsibly. I would say that your boy's not going to get off easily, you know our XO's fairly strict on punishing those responsible."

The captain took James's work at it. Even though the moon had lucrative fuel and mining industries, food was probably the bigger priority. If needed, they could get out and walk without that. But without food, they'd be dead in the water.
He had the crew pull up a map of Earth concurrent to today's date from their archives.
"A supply run sounds like a good idea. The crew may need to improvise some fishing poles, but I'm sure the mechanics can work something out. As I see it, we could either take advantage of the situation to sail through the Pacific Ocean towards Hong Kong, looking for supplies along the islands as we go, or try Africa. It's hardly in the Federation's auspices even in the best of times, and we could also obtain food and material goods there for cheaper. But then we run the risk of bandits, and we'll need to avoid Kilimanjaro Base and the eventual Drop Operations."
"If we go with the Pacific we can probably get the science department to make an accurate prediction of the tidal waves thrown out from British using our sensors. They should be more than sufficient for basic oceanographic work, there shouldn't be too many M-particles in the area yet to muck them up."

Miriam was taken aback for a moment when the chef showed up which she soon sighed.
"What is it now Chef Broiler?", Miriam asked in a very annoyed voice.
After listening to what he said she turned to her nearby security who shrugged not knowing what was going on.
Turning back she soon asks, "Your say it was the Mercenary and the Ensign? Are you sure of this?"
After soon hearing of the security footage she put her hand on her chin in thought. All evidence did point to the two of then but why would they even do that in the first place?
"Tour evidence does point to them... I will question them myself, you have my word. Please do not-", Miriam was saying until he began to threaten her security with turning them into jerky.
"Hey wait one moment Chef Broiler, my team will not be turned into jerky!! If you go so far to threaten me and my men like that do not be shocked if you find yourself in the brig for insubordination!!", Miriam yelled only for door in her face.
Hearing what was said she soon interact groaned at the development.
"As I said I will talk with him, I just don't want to deal with 'some' people on this ship.", Miriam soon said walking towards the hanger.
In hangar.
"Can we relax yet?", Rico soon said from his cockpit board.
"No... the order hasn't changed.", Zephyr soon said as he was now drinking a battle of water well reading a small book.
Both continued to seat wondering what was going on until Lieutenant Commander Lint entered the hangar.
"Zephyr!! Rico!! Get your asses down here now!!", Miriam soon shouted which both got out of the cockpit.
"Rico what you do now?", Zephyr soon asked him somewhat annoyingly.
"I didn't do it!! I swear!!", Rico stated which annoyed Miriam more.
When both landed in front of her the first thing she did was punch Zephyr in the face and kicked Rico in the balls.
"GRHHH", Rico shouted in men and now unable to move.
Zephyr soon rubbed his face wondering what new rumors were being spread or if he did anything against Miriam.
"What was that for?", Zephyr asked in a calm matter.
Miriam was pissed and looked she was ready to murder both of them. Soon she began to explain the situation which Zephyr soon manages to say, "Da Fuck? We never went into the kitchen at all-"
Another punch at his other cheek was given which hurt like hell. If any other situation Zephyr would be attracted to such a woman doing thus but now was not the time.
"All evidence points to you too!! I got slot or people riding me on this and you both just confess and accept your punishment!!", Miriam soon shouted which Rico managed to recover a resort, "We didn't do th- Grhhhhh!!"
Rico again was kicked in the balls which Zephyr cringed. Turning to Miriam Zephyr soon talks, "He is telling you the truth. We never went into that place and when she hit the fan as you remember we were here in the hangar the entire time!!"
Miriam was about to punch him again then stopped which she soon put her hands to her chin and began to rubbed it.
"Your right... you were here this entire time. What in the world... here come with me to see the evidence yourself.", Miriam soon stated which Zephyr grabbed Rico and dragged him along.
Sometime later they soon looked at the security camera which Zephyr and Rico looked shocked.
"Your right those are us!! But why would be do that and why are we there!! Here look at the time too... at this exact same time we would of been in the hangar being fired at!! What the Fuck is going on!!", Zephyr exlaimed.
"Well for now until we figure this out your banned from going to the kitchen and are to be sent to the brig until further notice. I will get down to the bottom of this but expect a punishment with no solid evidence you didn't do it.", Miriam soon said which she turned to head out
"Right....", Zephyr said as the security escorted both to brig.

"It would be for the best."
Seeing that they had the same idea on their next location, he turns towards the helmsman and prepare to give out orders to move the ship. Now would be the best time to move, the EFF fleet has just suffered a great loss, and the Zeon forces did not begin their invasion. If they could reach Earth while the rest of the world is still in a state of panic, they would have a better chance of concealing themselves and operate on Earth without an army on their tail.
"Turn the ship towards Earth, engines, standard speed. The orbit area would likely to have much debris from the battle, I want the helms and operators to keep their eyes open, avoid large debris in advance and don't leave it until the last moment."
After James is done with the standard orders, he turns back to the Captain.
"Anything else to add, Captain? If not then I would like to ask to be vacant from my post for a break, we're no longer on standby, so it might be better to take the opportunity to the men get some rest before anything else happens. It's not good to let the fatigue build up, if you want to go rest first then I can stay here for now."
If anything he should have done it hours ago, but no the spies decided to attack just 5 minutes before his break, come on now can't you have some mercy to not attack right before lunch? If he's still needed here then he might have to resort to finishing off that package of Calorie Mate that he bought back at the dock before they departed.

"Nothing else to add, Commander. Take as long as you need to get yourself rested. I've never been to Earth before, so I'll be on post until we can see it first hand while break atmosphere." He replied with a wave to dismiss the XO. Odd as it'd seemed, he never found the time or inclination to do so. Still, now they were returning home, even if it wasn't to the one they knew. Maybe it'd prove to be as impressive as the Earthnoids claimed it was?
Giving everyone else some rest sounded like a good idea. With both side's fleets licking their wounds it would probably be safe to let everyone burn off some stress. The following announcement would go over the ship's internal comms, putting more people than Wong at ease: "This is the captain. As of this moment, we are standing down off of yellow alert. Shifts are to resume as normal. Get some rest, everyone. That is all."
After a few tense hours, things had finally calmed down. Maybe Chef Broiler could even figure out what to do with their supplies they had left?

Zephyr and Rico were escorted into the Brig as each were given their own cell. Rico was holding his special place as the pain was still there well Zephyr simply laid down on the bed and began to read his book. When the announcement came they were off of yellow alert he simply sighed. With such a long day, he wonder when they will return back to port now. This itself was troublesome to whatever what was going on and he didn't like it. Thinking of the past he soon began to shut his eyes to take a small nap remembering his childhood.
"Zephyr what do you see here before you.", an older man with a beard and long white hair soon stated. One could tell he had brown skin and some native American features but his eyes were that of Asian.
Before Zephyr he soon saw the Earth from the port on the Lunar city they were staying, it was the usual for him after all his Grandfather was an Admiral and his father a rising star in the Earth Federation Space Forces.
"I see a beautiful planet grandfather, ruined by the days of war mother nature is recovering.", the 9 year old Zephyr soon said with pride.
"Yes but though its recovering the tides of war will always return. Humans make the mistake of repeating the past and not learning from its results. Zeon Deikum believe that humans will evolve if we move to space and it has come true but...", the older man soon stated then stopped.
"But grandfather?", Zephyr asked innocently.
Taking a breath he soon continues, "I hear even if we all become Newtypes it will not end nor change how we humans act. We will bring war and destruction once more on Earth or Space, nothing will change it... a endless cycle that is forever to be repeated. If only... nevermind, your father will be worried."
The older man soon looked out of the window, then begins to turn until as Zephyr soon asks,"Grandfather... I promise I will change it all. I promise now!! I will do it you for you and father!! Even... even if I don't know who is my mother!!"
The old man turned to his grandchild then smiles, "Of course you will."
Suddenly a Federal soldier came in and saluted to him then reporting, "Admiral Shikoto Tenjo we have a problem..."
"Oh? What is it now?", Shikoto soon asked.
"Its... its the Jovians... specifically Dogetie. Their attacking.", the soldier soon reported.
"Fucking figures he would make his move... tell the Fleet to stop the Empire at all costs. If they continue they will only ruin the Earth further.

Many of the crews left the bridge, leaving only those that are scheduled to be on duty. With much less people to manage, James took the opportunity to get some rest for himself. Standing up from his chair he felt a bit dizzy from the loss of blood, and Marumi who was about to leave herself, saw this and gave him a hand.
"Commander, maybe you should go get some rest at the medical bay?"
"Eh I'll be fine, still got some work to... you haven't eat yet have you? Come with to the cafeteria, we still got the wrath of The Grapplers to deal with."
The Grapplers are what some of the crew calls Ted and his men. In the past he used to be a fairly feared pilot that enjoyed burning down large armies using the Super Napalm, his squad was called just that, so those that knew about his infamy called him by the same name. Marumi seems to have remembered something, and informs him about it.
"A few moments ago I received news that the pair that are responsible for the food problem seems to have been taken to the brig, after the Lieutenant had a heated argument with Lt. Commander Lint. There was reports on that the pair were not at the storage when the problem has happened, but the camera has clearly caught their faces."
"Hmph, I don't care if it's the work of demons, if there's evidence against them then they won't be getting away... I'll deal with them later, lets have a look at what we have left first."
-
"WHO IS IT THIS TIME?!"
"I-it's me, Commander James Wong."
"D:"
It's a very, very horrifying happening to have someone that's close to 7 feet tall yell at your face, while holding a flamethrower. More so when the pair had saw the corpse in the corner, and had just ordered it to be taken away. James considers himself a fairly brave man, but even then he's not able to act normally when Ted suddenly appears with a face like that. It's like if you say a single thing wrong he would grab you by the neck and throw you into the furnace. Mean while Marumi is even more scared, and is at the point of passing out before James nudges her a few times to keep her awake.
"...Heh, finally a more welcoming face... come in then kid."
"A-alright then."
"Grow a pair, you look like you've just seen a ghost."
'I'd fight an army of ghost over one of you any day...'
At least ghosts won't attempt to burn you alive, and have a long record of doing so in past wars.
"I know why you're here, well let me tell you... because those cursed kids took a step in here, the only thing we have left are 4 days worth of ingredients. If everyone gets kids meal then it'll last for... 6-7 days, no 8 days, that woman's team can eat dried pasta for all I care! I still don't see those damn kids here!!"
"Calm down for a moment Chef... well I know Lint has thrown the kids to the brig..."
"The brig?! That's a heaven compared to what I might do to them!!"
"Don't worry, I'll see what I could do. You might making us a sandwich or something? We haven't eat yet."
"Two steak sandwich coming right up!"
Steak sandwiches are fine, but after seeing the charcoal outside, Marumi wasn't too keen on eating meat this soon. She raises her hand and try to ask for something else.
"Excuse me Lieutenant, may I get something without meat...?"
"Steak sandwich it is!!"
"....Ok...."
-
After eating their tasty sandwich(or in Marumi's case, tasteless), the two of them heads down to the brig to take a look at the two that are responsible. The guards salutes to the two as they approach, and James begins to ask them questions, while letting Marumi head in the cell to get a report. One of the guards lead her in, and bangs on the door a bit when they saw the two just laying there.
"Rise and shine kids, you got a visitor."
"Can you tell me whose is who?"
"The one with the book is Tenjo, the one that's in a fetal position is Burbon."
Marumi's shift is usually at the bridge as an Operator, and occasionally with James when he needs an assistant, so she had never met the two in the past. To be honest, if it's only by appearance, Marumi looks younger than the two that are in the room when she should be older by a few years. The guard stands by the side and let Marumi do her job, while she waits until the two are fully awake before she begins.

The ship's crew almost sighed as one when they were put off duty. They needed the break, deserved it even. These were extremely trying times. He leaned back quite a ways in his chair, tugging down the brim to where most of the lighting given off by the fixtures overhead was blocked. The man thought back to their own time. Jupiter. The wars. The Vanguard. Both Vanguards, he should say. His family. There was an interesting topic. He'd been working since he was 15, which isn't uncommon in the Jupiter Sphere; some kids work as young as 12. It's expected of every citizen to contribute, due to the harsh conditions of their home colonies. By the time he'd gotten promoted to his Erebado, he was making enough money to move his entire family out of the area just before the 2nd Vanguard came calling.
He hadn't seen them in over a decade. The Martians set up a nice place for themselves, after the Feddies smacked the Oldsmobiles into line. The leftovers Zeons merged with a few mining towns and made a robust, if frontier, place to live. Hard for an Earthnoid. Easy for a Jovian, with plenty of opportunity to make their way ahead if they had the mettle to do so. The Jupiter way. It made him smile to consider that one day, they may be influencing politics of the red planet. Should it ever become relevant. Accasius highly doubted it would.
Even with the bright blues and greens of Earth in front of him, all he could think about were the muddled oranges and reds of home. What kind of man gets nostalgic for such a hellish place? A finger and thumb carefully peeled back one of his gloves, revealing a numeric code tattooed onto the back of his hand, permanently marking him as one of those alien men from beyond the Asteroid Belt.
He resolved he would get through this, their planet makes tough men, and see that place again someday. Meanwhile he couldn't help but wonder how their salt spillers were fairing. Tenjo was said to be resourceful, it would be put to the test now.

Zephyr was enjoying his nap after reading a bit until the guard came in yelling at them to get up which he opened his eyes and yawned. Rico didn't as he was still in pain well Zephyr got up putting his book down lazily. Aa he turned to see who entered he soon says, "Oh? I thought the Captain or Commander not you Ms. Akitsu Marumi. I take a guess the Commander is outside?"
Meanwhile Miriam's Security team finally finished their thorough sweep. She soon sighed waiting for a report.
"So far we have found about dozens of hidden weapons and everything looks clear.
Miriam nodded then says, "Alright time to make my report."
She was about to leave but her security was still there.
"What?", Miriam soon asked.
"Uhh nothing!!", he soon said then walked away.
When Miriam was left alone she soon mutters, "Maybe I was a little too harsh on them."

Though it's the first time that Marumi have talked to Zephyr, she suddenly have a feeling that she might not like to be around the guy. Even though she herself is from a militaristic family, that one shared trait between the two did not help in giving their relationship level a kick start. Being in the brig is one of the reasons, that and combining with the "overly friendly" attitude he keeps with the female crews on the ship doesn't help his case at all.
"You seems awfully cheerful for someone that's been jailed... yes the Commander is outside, and I'm here to make a report based on what you know about the incident. Commander Wong wants to hear both side of the story before he makes his decision, as Lt. Commander Lint mentioned there were conflicts between the recordings and where you two were at the time."
Marumi was asking questions, and was mostly focusing on writing down notes as she listens to Zephyr and his friend's reasoning, when she suddenly felt a bit cold and shudders a bit. Looking up from her writing, she could see the two staring at her while she wasn't looking, mostly at her body rather than keeping their eyes up high. Though they seems to be trying to hide it, they were a slight moment too slow at turning away, and her face flush a bit with slight embarrassment and anger.
"Ensign Tenjo, Ensign Burbon! Must I remind you that I am your superior, and should be treated with such respect!"
She didn't mention it out loud, but she made her intentions quite clear. If the two wants some eye candy then they should at least try to not do it right in front of her, and not when she's here to write down evidence for the two. She covers herself a bit with her arms, and tilt herself a bit to the side to avoid their stares, before continuing with what she's here for.
-
Mean while, James is still chatting with the guards outside, and having a light argument.
"I tell you, chocolate flavor tastes the best. Cheese flavor is the same as regular cheese crackers..."
"Nah, fruit's number one, nothing can beat that."
....On what's the best flavor for Calorie Mate.

An announcement from the Captain rang through the ship's halls as the experimental vessel approached and subsequently dived into the planet's blue skies, warning them of their imminent descent. A normal ship would have a bumpy ride here, but this particular one's late model m-craft system made the ride significantly smoother. They took it slow, helmsman deftly weaving between debris left floating in the atmosphere from British and early, dead ships and dead satellites making speckled rings like those of the outer planets. The crew might not even realize that they were dropping from orbit if they didn't look out the window, though they'd miss quite the view if they did not; the craft's bulk lowering gently into the sea. Which was not quite so gentle, waves smacking at the hull immediately.
-
In another part of the vessel, Lieutenant Commander Earnest "Wild E" Alden, spun in his console's chair, controlling one of the ship's main gun batteries. A console cowboy, Alden had gotten picked up by the SNRI when he was caught hacking into their systems. They told him he was either going to jail or to work, the choice there was a no brainer. Born and raised in the Sides, he was a natural to space and to computers. A good sense of spatial awareness and a keen understanding of computers got him into gunnery. In fact, he'd written some of this ship's firing algorithms himself. People who can do so are rare these days, solid slugs just about went the way of the dodo. Happened to be the SNRI had this ship here with need of someone with his talents; beams were a no go. Luck would have it, it just so happened to house a little cargo that tossed them into another realm that might be hell for all they knew.
That wasn't in the contract. Need to know only.
He was taking the whole 'time travel' thing better than most. He'd grown up tearing apart old OYW equipment he found in scrapyards. It was a game that he had all the cheat codes to. What's not to like?
The screech of a boot heel against metal is all that kept him from being flung from his chair when a wave smacked the hull. His area was right by the outer wall, of course.
"Guess we're landin' then. Wonder where we're goin'..." Earnest said to himself, taking a glance out the window. Lots of water, and he didn't know how to swim to save his life.
"Gonna be a long ride."

"Ya pretty much it on that regard... we were in hangar entire time when the spies started their attack. So we couldn't of gone to the kitchen. Ever think that might been tampered with? The footage I mean, after all in the chaos of that someone could of changed things.", Zephyr soon stated as the woman, before him continue to write down her notes.
It was boring to be exact Rico was still hurting from earlier well Zephyr stared at the woman. Some stated he would flirt a lot which was something true yes but at the moment he was ao,concentrated in thought he didn't realize he was staring intently at her. Of course on a normal day he knew how to take looks without being noticed bit today was not his day. The way she acted made him move his head straight to her face to avoid any more problems. Staring now at her eyes he was not sure what reaction she will get now.
"Anything else ma'am?", Zephyr soon asked as Rico still groaned from his pain.
Meanwhile Lint was typing her report up when soon hearing them begin reenter the Atmosphere which she soon held tight just in case the gravity forced her down.
"I still wonder... who was behind this attack anyways?", Lint muttered to herself.
