"I haven't even heard of some of those nations." Eddy said, thinking on that.
"Oceania is typically neutral in many affairs, they're democratic. The Pacific Union is a tiny member, basically the puppet of the Americans." Duren informed him.
"Yeah I'm familiar with them."
"Make no mistake, Qing are dangerous even as allies. Probably the strongest nation on earth. Not to be trifled with." He continued.
"Hope I never get sent there."
The both of them laughed at the final joke.
"I hear that." Williams said. "But I haven't heard of any nations in South America, must be too inhospitable. This place used to be warm if you believe old stories. So down there might have got frozen too?"
"It was a jungle, freezing it would be too good. It probably got hotter." Duren dryly stated.
"Think I'd take that these days...Bah, I just want to go home." Eddy said at last. "That'd do me fine."

Home another word they all believed, maybe some day when this is war over with even former enemies can become friends. Odd isn't it? A guard and two prisoners chatting away like almost friends.
"Well.. the job needs to get done we are almost done. Lets get on going because being out here is too freaking cold.", Achmetha commented.
With the the work continued throughout the night til it was finished.

The Morning of April 1st. Hofn Base, Iceland...
A quintet of Avalonian JMS patrolled the perimeter of the arctic base on the morning the offensive was slated to go down. They stayed a decent distance away from the base, but easily within sight distance of the outposts around it. Those looked to be bunker complexes, and they were definitely manned. Luckily, neither of them were too close to the shore. If the group pulled this off right, they might even be able to slip by all this. But only if they were smart about it.
On the northern edge of the base, the farthest edge of course, was the railcar station leading up into the glacier.
Inside the base itself was an array of barracks and hangars holding men and vehicles for them, most didn't look to be online right now. And they probably won't be, until someone gave them reason to suit up. Looked to be mostly Aglovales, Avalon tended to use their MMS for defensive purposes more than anything.
There were some ships moored at the base, but it was unlikely those would come into play.

"Three... Two... One.... Go up!!", Major Garnet soon said, as the three mobile suits along came up in the middle of nowhere from the water. The Gopherus D's visors lit on as the gundam like heads moved around to see their positioning.
"No enemy contacts all clear on this end.", Johar soon reported with Adlai soon add in his, "Came here looks we are clear.
"You heard that?," Garnet soon said as soon a large amphibious vehicle came to shore.
Soon its own doors opened to reveal ice tracker trucks coming out two of them and another mobile suit soon came up which was the Panthera Command Custom.
"Right let's get moving... we will move towards our destination in the darkness' only issues will be if there any small populations in the way to see us. Let's Commence Operation Saving Fool's Day", Garnet soon said which the rest began to move towards their destination.
Meanwhile
Due to still early morning Achmetha was still sound asleep in his bed, not knowing today was the day of his escape.

While Iceland had quite a few small fishing, mining, and farming communities, there happened to not be any near their landing site. Most of those villages were centered along the western sections of the island, the north, or the extreme east. The southern interior was mostly empty, being that it was frozen almost year around whereas the rest of the landmass got warmer for a more sizable chunk of the year by comparison. As well, many of those small towns were moved or chose to relocate when the base nearby was established, for purposes of safety and security. Being the only official military installation on Iceland, it was a big target - even if the real military presence was concentrated in the bigger cities to the west, such as the capital.
Up ahead the team could see the looming form of the glacial mountains as they trekked along the snowy ground, and lights from the base at its foot also came into view pretty soon. While it looked like there were still men on staff, most appeared to be in bed with the majority of the facility being dormant.
If they played their cards right, they could probably circumvent the base entirely.

As they moved they continued on noticing the lights of the base.
"Hrmm as expected... looks like they are there.", Garnet soon commented as the team finally came to the closest they could to the mountain.
"So what now?", Johar soon asked.
"We Knock?", Adlai soon joked.
"We stick to the plan, Agent Carter you said there was someone on the inside correct? Are they able to get your men to go through as we act as decoy?", Garnet soon asked Agent Carter.

Carter pulled back a sleeve on his coat, checking at his watch to see how close they were to go time, then nodded to Garnet.
"Yes, provided all goes well. My insider is a security guard on the upper level of the base, where the prisoners work. He'll be 'forgetting' to pick up several of the ropes hanging off the side of the building." While saying this the YIG agent motioned to the uniform he had donned, as did the other men. One was provided for Victor too, for when they go on foot.
"We'll scale the exterior wall, ambush one of the work crews, and then pose as them to get in through the more lightly defended top level. From there, we'll proceed into the cells blocks and commence the jail break."
"Supposing luck is on our side for once, we might not even be seen until it's too late. But it's never gone that well in all my years in the service, so make sure they're too busy to look too close at what we're doing if you'd be so kind, Major." He finished saying.

"Right you better not fall either, it would be a pitty.", Garnet replied soon turning to her team mates. "Alright Diamondbacks get ready to move out!! And Keep your eyes peeled too!!"
Soon all three mobile suits were ready well Victor exited out of his own. Walking up to Carter he soon says as he smirks, "Let's get moving, I do hope you do not fall"

Carter peered at Victor with a blank expression, pulling his coat closed against the chill and running a quick check of his equipment. "Everyone seems to be implying I'm going to fall. I'd almost say I'm being threatened, if I didn't know better. Just remember who the only one who knows the way inside is, and where all the surprises I left are. So you better catch me if I drop, or this'll be a short mission."
Concluding there, the agent lead the rest of the team to the rail car cut into the side of the mountain and leading up the side at a slope. Essentially the bastard child of a trolley and a ski lift, it was a small vehicle of 3 cars made to hold both passengers and freight and pull them up the glacier with thick cable and rail. Having avoided the base for now, they were afforded enough time to secure their gear to the back two cars that held cargo. Carter disappeared into the lead of the tram, and with a shudder and then a whir, it began to move slowly up the mountain's side. He thought ahead to disable the lights so no one should see the cars coming, being it was typically too cold to move supplies up or down at night, and it shouldn't be missed for a few hours on top of that.
The ride took agonizingly long, showing just how high in the mountains this prison was. The air got colder and very thin quickly, making operating up here painful. Luckily they had came prepared, for a normal invasion of this place would almost certainly go badly. Even the heated interior of the vehicle did little to block out the cold, it seemed.
Eventually the railcar finally crested the top of the mountain and drug itself over the lip of the glacier and proceeded about 60 feet northward into a small train station. It was dark, apparently it was unmanned too at this hour. Everyone dismounted, with the head operative keeping low and going ahead to peek out the window. He motioned when it was all clear. The prison's O wing was only about 150 yards away, well within firing distance, due east. At the side facing them was a big door for personnel, a paved and lit path led up to it. Around the side was a freight entrance, where several forklifts were kept - a row of lights along the path diverged with it towards that side. But none of that matters to the team, who'd not be using the door.
"Alright, Major, keep position here until we give the signal. We'll be back before you know it." Carter said and motioned for Victor and the other men in the trucks to follow along with him as he headed out a side door in the rail yard, after all fixing snowshoes to their feet.
The cold air assaulted them almost immediately, and it was much harsher now that they were exposed to the winds. Worse still, they had a long walk ahead of them. Carter lead them around the side of the prison, letting Victor see for himself just how ridiculously big this torus-shaped structure was. It almost certainly couldn't have been a prison originally, why would you ever need one so massive? They went around the far wall, around by B wing where Achmetha was kept. They'd need to enter through that section to make the best time.
The trek around was positively grueling, with the SpecOps team forced to keep their backs to the wall to stay out of sight of the tower and guards, allowing them no shelter from the winds. Eventually Carter motioned them to stop silently, and pointed up ahead to a half dozen ropes hanging down over the curved side of the colony's outer wall. With a cutting motion he ordered them all to ditch the snowshoes so they could proceed without them from here.
The agent jerked a thumb upwards, telling them to get moving, as he did the same himself; hopping up and grabbing one of them and hoisting himself upward. Digging his boots into the spaces between glass panes, Carter climbed up slowly. By now these ropes had been here for a few hours, so there was a glaze of half-frozen water on them that made the climb hellish, with the wind battering them only adding to the effect. Several men followed up after him, but they left one rope for Victor himself. Once at the top, Carter waited for his accomplice to get there as well, while he waited below the lip and drew a compact, silenced pistol from his coat.
Whenever Victor got there, he'd motion over the top to a work crew standing about 120 feet away from them across the rooftop. There were 5 inmates and 4 guards keeping watch over them. The convicts were working with tools that looked similar to hoes, and using them to break and dislodge ice off the top of the colony - an easier form of what Achmetha and Duren had to do, it seemed. Beside them was a small rail vehicle for moving people around the prison, that being how they got out here most likely. That was their target. Then Carter pointed down the other direction, where about a half mile off was an outcropping that lead down into the prison's interior, sealed by big, metal shutters wide enough for the colonial transport car next to the work crew. That'd be their way in.
"Ready?" The agent whispered, as several more field agents below got into position. Being there were more men than ropes, the spare troops shimmied along the wall, using those same crevices as handholds and foot rests. It was dangerous, but Ys special forces were well trained - often climbing mountains in the Alps for practice in situations just like this.

"Roger that and good luck", Garnet replied on her radio soon sighing after they lost communication.
"Hrmm that looks pretty dangerous you know.", Johar soon commented from his seat keeping an eye as the group continued to go up.
"Well I feel worse that the freezing cold going up would kill a normal man.", Adlai then added.
"Both of you shut it!! Its almost time for the next phase of the operation. Remember our underwater Beam Rifles are far more concentrated then a normal one would be. Just remember where to to hit our beams would make a whole lot of light and anything hitting will explode.", Garnet soon ordered as their beams were ready.
Still it was nice to be inside the Mobile Suits staying warm unlike those above.
With Victor
Victor soon followed overlooking everything, as he was assigned to do this he had his doubts. Of course it felt weird to be on Avalonian soil again ever since back then. Looking about he noticed how everything went up and saw if there is any other way down. Only biggest issue if the cart's cable is shot down it would be a very bad fall down. As they moved into next position he noticed the two doors and their position as well. Though it seemed he was a regular guy everyone in the group knew who he was and this was something he used to normally do. Following getting ready to go up he soon saw the rope to begin the actual hard part.
"Well... its been ages since I have done this, brings back good old memories of boot camp.", Victor commented remembering the various mountains he scaled both mandatory required and some during missions.
As they went up he looked up noticing how dangerous this actually was and as well noticing this was no ordinary prison.
'What kind of place is this? And how did they managed to get it up here as well.'
As they moved into position he was holding very well, though rusty his old Special Corps. training was still in his character. He would turn his head to Carter and nodded which meant he was ready.

The operative nodded back and then waved for the agents with him to go ahead. The lot of them pulled themselves up over the lip of the colony and laid flat on their bellies, the best cover one could hope for up here. With their backs turns and attention squarely on the prisoners, the guards didn't even see them coming. A few quiet thuds sounded first from silenced pistols firing, and then from the guards falling up ahead as rounds clipped them smoothly. The prisoners didn't notice at first either, until an older looking man peered back over his shoulder, shocked to see the guards dead on the ground, their blood freezing red seconds after it left their body - steaming faintly in the cold night air.
"Let's move people!" Carter said, propping himself up into a crouch and heading towards the rail car with his men in toe. They reached the work site in about 6 seconds. The men branched out and grabbed the bodies of the guards, finishing off anyone who was left before looting them of gear and rolling them over the side of the prison so they wouldn't be seen, while Carter talked to the prisoners and showed his badge.
"Agent Carter, Ys Intelligence Group. You might not be any friends of ours, but I bet you want out of here as much as anyone. Play it cool, do what I tell you, and you'll be out of here by dawn. Fuck up and you'll never get out of this place. Are you in?" He asked the group. They looked between themselves, and didn't take more than a split second to agree with getting the hell out of this place.
"Good choice. Keep working, we need to keep up appearances and we need that blood gone in case the boss starts looking." The operative said. By now his men were done tossing out the bodies and took their rifles over, standing in position and looking official, as if keeping an eye on the place. The inmates solemnly went back to breaking up the ice, making sure the red chunks went over the side first. One of the Yig soldiers came over to Carter and Victor to hand over a pair of headsets they had lifted from the dead, still tuned into the prison's frequency. That would help a lot. For now they were in the clear, there was no alarms nor calls of alert being sounded over the air.
"Victor, call the boys and get the show started would you? It's about to get fun."
In his cell, Achmetha might just have seen a few flashes of light from up above, and heard a few louder thumps than usual on the glass above his head...

Victor accepted the head said still overlooking everything as he did so. As carter told him it was time he soon nodded turning then whistling which meant it was time.
Meanwhile below
"Are they done yet?", Adlai asked.
"No..", Johar replied.
"Are you sure?"
"I am pretty sure."
"So sure that we will try to go see Garnet again after this?"
"Ye-... wait no wait what?!!"
"What the both of you are doing and pay attention!!", Garnet soon ordered which she was annoyed at her team mates.
Achmetha
Achmetha eyes soon opened up as he laid on the bed. He was wearing weird noises which woke him up expecting a yelling guard he was wide awake but no guard. Getting up he soon looked about in his cell still listening to thumbing and then a few flashes of light.
"Hey Duren... are you hearing that?", Achmetha soon asked.

Outside
The YIG agents ushered the inmates into the vehicle when the signal was given, so that they'd be ready to move when the Diamondbacks began their attack on the O wing.
"Hope they don't take too long, the NAU guys. They all seem to have a penchant for staring at their CO, lets hope they stop gawking long enough to take action." Carter muttered, as if sensing the fact the Diamondbacks were already making their next plan to spy on Garnet.
Sometimes being able to read people wasn't a gift at all.
Inside
Duren snapped awake. He was a light sleeper as it turned out, it only took him a few moments to be fully alert from a previously peaceful rest. Rubbing his eyes, he stood up and moved to the back of the cell to look out the window.
"I am...looks like the guards are dragging some poor bastards off to work more. Maybe one of them slipped?" His cellmate said, but he didn't seemed convinced either.

Down Below
"Hey looks like something is moving up there. I can take guess that is the signal?", Johar soon blurted out.
"Alright gentlemen lets rumble!!", Garnet soon said as the three Gopherus Ds moved into the attack position.
If anyone would take a notice three mobile suits would soon appear jumping to attack the O Wing. The three units visors would glow as they soon scanned everything then took out their beam rifles. Taking aim at anything that remotely looked important they soon fired, causing an explosion that all in area could hear.
Achmetha
Achmetha soon shrugged at the comment about something going on outside. He was about to agree with it til the alarms soon started to blare.
"Or... that is the sign that the note said beforehand?", Achmetha soon suggested nodding his head in front of Duren then getting up at the same time as him to begin moving the bed to take out the plastic explosive.

Outside
The beams from the MS cut into the exterior buildings, burning holes through them and causing quite the explosion as the Diamondbacks seem to have hit a fuel dump for several of their worker vehicles. A building to the left of the main entrance caught fire, smoke pouring out of the roof and other openings. Alarms went off immediately, and everyone with a headset would hear a general broadcast:
"O wing units, report!" The dispatcher commanded.
"We got a trio of bloody mobile suits attacking! They got beams and everything!" Came the panicked response of a soldier apparently at the scene of the crime.
"Can anyone else confirm?"
"This is Nigel of A wing, we can see them from here. Confirmed."
"Affirmative. All guards outside the compound, return with your inmates immediately. Units in A wing and O wing, move to intercept."
"WHAT?" Another voice promptly cut in. "How did you nimrods miss a team of mobile suits sneaking in here? We're on a goddamn MOUNTAIN in the middle of open country!"
It was, of course, none other than the warden.
"I want these worms dealt with now! Shoot anyone who even looks like they're trying to make a break for it! Whoever they're trying to rescue, they're not going to get, even if I have to beat them to death in front of them!"
Carter gave Victor the thumbs up at this. "Looks like that's our cue."
He fired up the rail car and drove it back to the exit point a half mile down the colony's length from there, going as fast as they could. A camera scanned them briefly before letting them in, the outer door closing behind them. A group of guards came out to inspect them from the security booth, and the agent stepped out to talk to them.
"What in the hell is going on? Mobile suits?" Carter said, feigning surprise.
"Yeah, hurry and get these guys back to their cells, we need to step on it to help." The guard said, looking over the prisoners.
At that moment he noticed they weren't cuffed, glancing at Carter to no doubt ask what was wrong. He didn't get the chance before the operative kneed him hard in the stomach, sending him crumpling over, to then elbow him on the back of the head to knock the guard unconscious.
Seems the fight inside had started too. That left 7 guards for them to deal with, before they could get into the security grid and move on. The inmates jumped out of the car and started to tangle with the soldiers, as did the rest of the YIG agents in the vehicle. One of them pulled out a tazer pistol and tried to take a pot shot at Victor, while another closed in with a heavy folding baton to try and clobber him.
A light was shot out overhead as someone drew a real firearm and missed, making the fight inside much more deadly all of a sudden.
Inside
Sirens screaming throughout the prison made Duren sigh, it was going to be a hell of a day, he already knew that.
"Guess if there was ever a sign, this is it." He said and turned to Achmetha, whom was playing with his bed again.
"What are you planning?"
O wing
A group of soldiers opened firing slits along the exterior walls of the out buildings. When Carter said this place was built like a fortress, he meant it, they went the whole nine yards. Several with assault rifles peppered the mobile suits, which wouldn't do much. But what would, was a few more men who had pulled out rocket launchers and fired them at long range towards the NAU forces.
Deeper in the prison more guards moved up to reinforce, and prison model JMS were kicked to life, also moving to support the front.
