Feldel Army in Exile
JMS
RAJS-04 Lancer, Stutzer
All Terrain JMS
Mass Production, Double Battery Powered Unit
Hardened Steel Alloy Armor
Running Speed of 44 mph
Weapons:
1x Carried 37mm rifle w/ underslung grenade launcher (AP rounds)
1x Arm mounted heavy JMS shield (Left)
3x JMS sized disposable rocket launchers (Held on shield's interior)
2x 12mm head vulcans
1x JMS sized saber (Held on waist armor, titanium)
Optional:
1x Carried 40mm sniper rifle (replaces rifle)
1x Carried 55mm bazooka (replaces rifle)
The lancer was one of the most prolific and distinguished of the junior MS produced by the nation once known as Feldel. Made to look like that of a knight, its form was easy to recognize and it became a strong symbol of both the country and its ruling nobility whom clung to the ideals of feudalism as the answer to the turbulent situation on Earth. It was rolled out in the same year as the Ys State's wolverine as its direct competitor, and depending on who you ask, one side stole designs from the other. While differing externally, quite a few of the internal parts are similar enough they can be swapped freely between the two models with little modification needed, giving fuel to the old claims of espionage. In the end that argument proved to be moot, since the Kingdom fell in the Four Party war when trying to liberate the Central European region from their foes. Now all the Lancers left are owned by rebels or collectors, and in the case of the former, few original models remain. Instead what they had left was shored up with new equipment and replacement parts to try and keep up with the better equipped occupying force they were continually at odds with.
Additional armor plates were placed over key areas like the joints and around the cockpit to give extra endurance in battle, and greater likelihood of the pilot surviving his unit being shot down. Another battery was added over the initial design to increase speed and performance when recharging and resupplies are sparse on top of everything else. Beyond that anything not needed was taken out to allow it to move faster and take cover easier.
Despite losing the arms race the Lancer did have several novel ideas in its design. The rifle it used, an actual rifle unlike the EDC's versions, played into the Royal Army's principles of disciplined fire over weight of fire. The gun has a burst setting, a rarity in MS-sized weaponry, to emphasis accurate placement of shots. The 37mm round was found to be extremely efficient at piercing contemporary armored designs, and the munitions it fired are specially designed with tungsten cores to further add to its penetrative qualities. In short, the three rounds are all one would need to punch through a suit. The idea never caught on with other nations. Below the main barrel is a grenade launcher usually equipped with fragmentation rounds for dealing with infantry and light vehicles, or a heavy HEAT charge for armored targets.
As well, rather than carry bulky shoulder mounted rockets or bazookas the stutzer'd lancer instead carries 3 single shot rocket launchers referred to as 'groms' on a rack inside its shield, the name meaning thunder in Polish. Unbeknownst to them, the same design existed once before when Zeon still existed and was used in an almost identical fashion. In an ambush typical protocol is to fire all three in rapid succession to break down tough units and mop up whats left. Even though these are single use, that also means the power they hold is much higher, even an MMS wouldn't take more than one to be destroyed. It also revived the concept of the 'head vulcan', but that too never caught on beyond Feldel's borders.
RAXMS-01 Knight, Aurel Custom
All Terrain MMS
Custom Unit
Hardened Steel Alloy Armor (Reinforced with Titanium)
Running Speed of 55 mph
Weapons:
1x Carried 37mm rifle w/ underslung missile launcher (AP rounds)
1x 10mm Anti Infantry Machine Gun (Mounted on Chest)
1x Arm Mounted Heavy JMS Shield (Can be Ejected, titanium)
3x JMS sized disposable rocket launchers (Held on shield's interior)
1x MMS sized saber (Held on waist armor, titanium)
2x Smoke Screen Dispenser Pods (Mounted behind Shoulders)
1x Shoulder Mounted 75mm gatling gun (Left)
2x MMS-sized grenades (Held on waist opposite saber)
The astute eye would likely notice the so called 'knight' is extremely similar to the new Ys Grizzly Bear middle MS, looking like one that was kitbashed with a Lancer. Which is because that is exactly what it is. A successful raid on a convoy in Eastern Europe managed to get the rebellion one of these newer units a few months ago in more-or-less working condition. Since then battle damage and customization required the introduction of more and more nonstandard parts until it ended up being a unique unit in its own right. Being the best pilot in the Army in Exile, and its leader, it was only fitting it given and equipped to the standards of Duke Aurel Wrentrcek.
Its equipment is also a kitbash of the standard Grizzly's armament, traditional Feldel gear, and other stuff stolen in raids. While not as impressive as more specialized machinery, say for spec ops use, the man driving this machine is an extremely seasoned veteran...and his unit is customized to his exact tastes.
Conventional
Błyskawica Tank
All Terrain Light Tank
Hardened Steel Alloy Armor, Fuel Powered, Tracked
Top Driving Speed of 60 mph
Weapons:
1x Turret-mounted 120mm cannon
1x Coaxial 10mm machinegun
1x 3-tube smoke dispensers (Left side of turret)
1x 2-barrel 60mm mortar (Right side of turret)
The Błyskawica is a light tank, named after lightning in Polish. The design actually isn't original, instead being a cut down type-61 tank with only a single cannon and more powerful engine. Both Feldel and Ys used many of these before, during, and shortly after the Four Party War. With parts and replacement units being plentiful, the Army in Exile never stopped using them after they were forced to take up operations as a guerrilla movement.
Rukavice
All Terrain IFV
Hardened Steel Alloy Armor, Fuel Powered, Tracked
Top Driving Speed of 60 mph
Weapons:
1x Turret-mounted 30mm autocannon
1x Coaxial 10mm machinegun
1x 3-tube smoke dispensers (Left side of turret)
1x 2-tube AA missile launcher (Right side of turret)
Capacity:
10x infantry
The Rukavice is a unit designed off the chassis of the aforementioned lightning tank. The turret was removed entirely and replaced with a smaller one housing an autocannon, leaving more room inside for infantry that would usually be taken up by spare shells and the mechanisms to load them in a timely manner. Already well suited to keeping air units at bay with its automatic gun, a small missile pod was added as well to allow for greater AA support. Usually the rebels run before air support can arrive, and as such these more often than not are used to blow up other ground units to support the men whom ride them into battle.
Kladivo Refit
Out of Production Land Cruiser
Heavy Titanium Landship Armor
Top Driving Speed of 28 mph, Fusion Powered
Weapons:
2x 2-Barrel turret-mounted 150mm cannons
3x 8-Tube missile launchers
8x 2-Barrel AA guns
5x 60mm Gatling Guns (Two at the front, one at the back, one on each side in a sponson mount)
2x 3-tube smoke dispensers
Special Features:
Latch Doors
Capacity:
5 MMS
The Kladivo is an old Feldel design of land ship, specifically a cruiser. Unique to other designs of the same class it moves with treads and not hover technology, which provides certain benefits at the cost of being slower than competitors. It was designed more as a mobile command and artillery post than as a carrier, though it was designed to hold units. Only two were ever made, with the King of Feldel personally commanding one in the final battle of the Four Party War where he went down with his ship. The second was taken by remnants of the army who fled south after their nations conquest into Avalonian held Odessa. They traded the unit in there for passage out of mainland Europe and to safety, and the landship was mothballed. With the 5th army's status as being under-equipped, it didn't take before the machine was pulled out of storage and updated with a new powerplant and heavier armor. It now works as their command post in Odessa base.
A unique feature of the machine is that its bridge can pull back into the hull for cover in heavy firefights, where armored shutters enclose it. Thus making it much harder to cripple the ship with one good hit.
