Outside Oran
The YS Mediterranean Fleet were finally in position noticing the clock was ticking down. It was about to begin the operation and with the first drums of war to be sounded in Africa. General Rolando Bellanger was looking through his his binoculars on the bridge, of the YSS Halicore. Not only the various different staff were there as well looking at maps and preparing for the coming battle. The moment of surprise was on their side today, thus this would make the city falling so much easier. Not too far a man was walking up next to him, he had red hair and a red mask can be seen. He was no ordinary man the General could tell, personally he didn't like the Plutocrat with him today. He was still skeptical about having those from space to be in the very command center of the Helicore.
"I seems your little army is quite efficient in using what it has General.", the Red head soon said.
"My men train well, you should know we are the descendants of the same people you Lunarians claim to be.", Rolando soon replied.
"Of course heirs to the Earth Federation as they say, though as of late Earth has become... quite barbaric in our tastes. Though I got the feeling you dislike me General.", the man then replied, which made him wonder if the man knew what he was thinking.
"Orders are orders, if the Secretary-General allows our new Ambassador, a look on what the State does in our goals. I know of your kind Red Reaper, and know you needless sacrifice lives for your goal.", Rolando replied as he notice the time was now.
Giving the single the fleet came active as the ships got into range target the harbor region and any outpost directly their goal of course was utter decimation of the forces along the coast. 698 Missiles soon were fired with a hundred with cluster missiles, the goal was to soften the landing by destroying the defenses and any naval ships from even deploying. Soon after the assault General Bellanger raised his hand to give the signal to the Admiral who needed. Fighters soon took the air from the carrier as five fighters flew from the launch pad. Throughout the fleet the Albaross Aerial Vehicles soon were entered by Infantry and Grizzly Bear MMS were put inside to begin an aerial landing. Other part of the fleet the 4 Aldabra Class began moving forward to do a beach landing for the forces inside them. Koris as well began to all deploy to move towards where it will be needed to strike.
"General all forces have begun their assault.", Rear Admiral Roland Bos soon reported.
Still looking out of his binoculars, he then says, "Prepare next wave to attack into the military sections of any type. As well have our air forces begin raiding on the enemy airfield.
"My kind eh General? Well I say your no better on what you just did. Regardless a deal is a deal. I do hope you enjoyed our information network is what allowed you to find out about that Mobile Suit. Just remember... who are the Ys State Sponsors are.", Red Reaper said as he smirked.
"I believe only a few senators of your plutocracy are the ones who support us not all. Regardless once this is over you will make your way to Colonel Apollyon Rorke's Special Corps. as per orders. For now enjoy the show.", Bellanger then finished.
With this the invasion of Africa... has begun.

While it did surprise the Africans that the attack was coming today, the attack itself did not catch them by surprise. The fact that peace never came to exist between the State and the NAC was known by both of them, and the warlords rarely let that leave their mind.
Especially when it came to the Warlord of the Sahara. Hassan al Hazard ibn Orana. Or, Hassan, of clan Hazard, son of Oran if one were to take the meanings from his names. Typically, he was just referred to as ibn Orana. While no city in Africa was especially rich, this one was particularly bloodthirsty and produced some of the best warriors around. When the fleet was spotted on the horizon word traveled fast, and the people in the city moved immediately when the alerts chimed all across the town. Civilians ran to bunkers or basements, and troops ran to secure shelters. When the rain of missiles came, they were prepared. Explosions tore through the harbors, ripping up buildings and ships and sending both to the sea floor. The area seemed more volatile than usual, blasts causing waves and ripples around the shallower parts of the coastal region. On land the attack didn't do quite as well, everyone having got somewhere to hide before the first shots impacted.
"Deploy the fighters now, they shall just be destroyed if we wait for them to attain air superiority. Best they do what they can now. May the great one guide their hands." Ibn Orana declared. The order was quickly moved down the pipeline while he left for the hangars to lead the troops.
The Najmah took off and immediately began to fire everything they had at the enemy carrier helicopters, but they would change targets to attack anyone trying to intercept them first. If given the chance they would even ram one of the fliers while they carried units to destroy all three at once. The NAC were a different kind of foe, ones with fanatical devotion.
For now no one came out to meet the attackers, leaving it tentatively safe to land and invade. But out of sight, the men were moving between fortifications in preparation.

"Oh? They came out in play? How will you react General?", Red Reaper soon chuckled.
"Begin interception of enemy fighters and continue to launch our own. Prepare to hit the fortifications to soften it more before our forces finally land.", Bellanger soon ordered.
As the battle in the sky commenced, five more Gohawk Fighters soon launched into the air. The Gohawks not only superior in turn rate, speed, and general weapons would dominate against the much slower Najmah. Even so they avoided the incoming attacks then arced over to fire their own counter attack firing a missile towards a Najmah each. Since Minovsky Particles have yet to be broadcasted yet by the enemy the guided missiles should work against the enemy fighters.
Meanwhile the Albratross were in danger the incoming attack forced five of them to drop their Grizzly Bears early into the water, luckily it was shallow enough for them to land perfectly without killing the pilots. They began to move in evasive maneuvers now that their cargo was released. Still a Albatross was destroyed with its infantry inside when one of the fighters committed suicide. But as the rest seemed hope lost the new five Gohawk's came in the nick of time intercepting the enemy fighters now ready for a dog fight. Firing their 4x 25mm vulcans in attempts to shoot down the rockets or the fighters themselves.
The rest of the force continued to move to land without a hitch, the ships fired another volley of sheer fire power that would make the earth shake if anyone paid felt the ground into the fortifications to weaken them further. Soon the four ships arrived landing on the beach. There the forward hatch opens on the ship revealing a large ramp hitting the ground. There revealed Grizzly Bears and conventional forces soon began to move out in force. Moving on the beach the goal was to get into weapons range of enemy forces. The other Grizzly Bears that were dropped were behind moved in the water to join with the landing.
The Kori's and the rest of the Albatross moved in spread out aerial formation toward the city. Their goal of course was to land the MMS into the city and allow them to break the gates down to allow friendly forces in. Getting passed the walls the Kori's fired into any pillboxes around the fortifications that were not destroyed by the naval bombardment. The Albatross then would get into open areas then began to drop the Grizzly Bears into different parts of the city. As well long they were dropped the infantry would then rope down the Albatross, down on the ground to begin to secure the area.
If were watching the way the Ys State troops were far more organized and professional then they were 8 years ago. It looked like this was no simple invading army, no it was a advanced mechanized and highly trained army who would be hard to break and beat.

The Najmahs didnt fair very well in the ensuing dogfight, being outsped, outmaneuvered, and outgunned by the newer equipment. They were summarily ripped apart, but fought ferociously before that, trying to unload with machine guns and the last of their rockets in the time before the last of them were ripped to bits by incoming fire, or ran down and blown up by seeker missiles.
However, the grizzlies being dropped off early would actually prove to be a boon. The first one down would likely hit into a naval mine, a big one. The other forces were at risk of this too, but with no m-particles here, they could potentially start dealing with them. The ships moving forward to deploy land forces would be at even more risk to this, with their ramps being at the front. These things being deployed even in times of 'peace' wasn't uncommon, particularly for nations like the NAC with little concern for collateral damage to neutral parties.
In the city itself the bombardment continued to smash up fortifications and keep the defenders heads down for a little while.
Anti-MS guns would begin to rise up out of their emplacements along the walls and start firing on the landing parties once the koris had made their initial pass, which wiped out what was left of the fortifications above ground. The 100mm cannons took advantage of their range to start opening fire on the closing forces before they could do the same back. While not as accurate as could be hoped the sheer amount of equipment Ys was sending in made it likely something would be hit. They focused mostly on JMS or ships.
The second the the airborne forces hit the ground they came under fire, the defenders having roused themselves from their fortifications the second that the naval bombardment had ended. Militants opened fire from pillboxes further in the city, laying into the troops with machineguns while others with shoulder launched rockets fired onto deploying grizzly bears. Several others would fire missiles at the Koris, taking advantage of the same lack of minovsky particles to try and bring them down with guided munitions.
Several armored motor pools opened up and unleashed Raiders and Bandits into the streets, taking advantage of the half-ruined buildings and structures to park themselves in defensive positions and start shooting at the enemy JMS - imagining they were the biggest threat and the ones most capable of breaking down the walls. Worse still were the deployments of the Militant's own JMS, Djinns taking cover behind buildings and launching their rockets and 120mm cannons at the Grizzlies that were setting up in the streets, while their 10mm machineguns were used to mow down infantry.
The Mephits, with their guided missiles and twin gatling guns, unleashed a hellish amount of firepower onto the aircraft of both types plaguing the city. These were a new model of JMS the Ys wouldn't recognize, and the damage they could do was impressive - they looked too advanced for the NAC as well if anyone cared enough to look close. None of the JMS stayed still long, they shot and then skidded across the ground with strange ski-like implements on their feet before return fire could accurately be given. For now all this was focused on the troops dropped in the city and the air support, seeking to purge the infiltrators first before moving onto the beach. These people moved and fought very efficiently, that might surprise the invaders as much as they were surprised by the tactics employed by the modern State army.
One really peculiar unit stepped forward amongst all this. It appeared like a Djinn, but slightly bigger. A wide array of kill markings adorned the cannon on its arm, which looked different from the rest.
"Welcome to my humble abode, unfaithful ones." The strange suit announced. "I shall purge you of your sins in the fires of the Great One."
Orana would very likely shock the Ys as he fired a laser at several of those grizzlies the choppers dropped, a strong one too. An MS killer, taken from a ship like the AEUG used that fired fairly fast for how deadly it was. Same with the other JMS under his command, he used those sand skis to skirt across the sandy ground, twisting at the waist to strafe infantry with 8 machineguns in all and launch missiles holding white phosphorus* into the largest concentration of enemies he could find whilst rocketing past the invaders from cover of building to building. Finally, he'd shift course at the last second and fire a volley of mortar shells over the wall to pepper the forces on the beach. All this he did with almost supernatural grace, moving in a terrifyingly fluid manner - almost as if he was one with his machine.
If the man from the moon had a video feed of this, he'd know exactly what was going on with this guy's unnatural reflexes and likely be extremely amused at the Ys having to fight him.

* White phosphorus is an extremely powerful, moderately toxic, and quite banned incendiary agent that has a bad habit of sticking to skin. Pretty much its bad news for infantry and probably MS too. You can probably forget about using heat seeking stuff after this too, it burns very hot.

As the MMS which landed in the water one of the MMS legs were badly damaged, due to the MMS being twice the large only partial of the unit were destroyed outright. But due to losing its balance it would soon fall onto another mine which destroyed the unit. As the units in the water soon noted the mines the rest that landed on the beach were soon hit with the attacks on the ground. Three Grizzly Bears were disabled on the attack. Though due to the turrets revealing themselves they soon fired back as they moved forward. The Conventional forces moved forward as well their goal to get pass the defenses.
Now that the enemy air force was eliminated Ys State now took over the sky, as even more jets took off in support of the ground war. The air forced moved toward closer to the city their goal to begin taking out enemy ATs, and troops inside buildings when requested with their missiles.
Meanwhile in the battle in the city the forces inside the city now moved into position. Unlike during the previous war these looked like they were preparing for this kind of combat. Many men use cover some of them firing their bullpop assault rifles at other militants as they moved forward the gate to secure the opening for the landing forces.
During this the various Albatross due to not only being heavier armored were able to take more pounding, Supporting the infantry on the ground with their 40mm auto cannons on the side. Aiming at tearing down buildings with militants in it. Still three Albatross were shot down by various attacks, but the battle was far from over.
The Kori's soon began to fall back and move away as already two were shot down by the enemy lock on missiles. The Grizzly Bears on the other hand not only due to being twice the size of the ATs, with heavier armor, but also a medium shield large enough to stop any AT gun fire towards them. Putting their shields up and some of them began firing at the enemy ATs that engaged them. With better and stronger guns that could make an AT into Swiss cheese or explode. Still three Grizzlys were destroyed in the battle, as there was way to many enemy infantry surrounding them.
Soon as the white phosphorus, it itself currently banned in use in the Ys State, showed the desperation of the defenders. More Infantrymen caught in it soon were burned alive but luckily the MMS, didn't have to worry as much as the pilots inside were fully suited with their own air supply, filters, and helmets on their head. At most their sensors were, blinded temporarily til it subsided.
During all this General Bellanger continued to look and soon gave an order of support, more missiles were launched this time targeted the now vulnerable turrets, in support of the beach landing. As well soon the remaining pill boxes were targeted, then the mortar artillery attacks were coming from.
On noticing the new unit came out and the four trapped Grizzlys being cut down like a butter knife.
"Hrmm... enemy seems to have an energy weapon, as well an ace pilot.", Bellanger commented.
"Oh... so one managed to stay alive huh. No matter they were failed projects from 80 years ago.", Red Reaper commented recognizing the way the Ifrit moved.
"You said something Ambassador?", Bellanger soon asked.
"Oh not much, only noticing things. I suggest you eliminate that guy he is likely what is keeping them together. He falls their entire army begins to collapse.", Red Reaper soon suggested.
"A petty, would of been good to study that unit. Order the MMS forces on near it to kill that unit at all costs.", Bellanger ordered.
Soon six Grizzlys moved into position firing their 40mm Heavy Sub Machine Gun at the Irfrit, in opening in damaging it.
During all this the air forced fired their one time use counter measures at any lock on weapons. Soon they targeted the said units which targeted them firing their missiles in hopes to destroy them.

Despite fighting well, for a bunch of militias, the numbers and superior equipment that the State brought to bear were starting to take their toll. The turrets took the worst of the fire as missiles and artillery from the ships rained down on them and blasted them into rubble. Over half were destroyed or rendered inoperable by that barrage. The militants after that suffered heavily from return fire by infantry and aircraft targeting their buildings, wiping out a sizable chunk of them and forcing the rest to retreat from the city center and coast towards the edges of the city.
8 of the NAC's JMS were felled by return fire. It was surprising how adept their pilots were, likely, the men in these were the best of the best and knew the ins and ins of combat like the back of their hand. Masters of hit and run, it was not easy to bring that superior firepower to bear on them before they disappeared. Even so, they too began to retreat. The mephits focused on keeping the aircraft and missiles at bay, occasionally using their cluster missiles to fire on packs of advancing units. The Djinns did the same, firing rockets more to make the MMS keep their heads down while their main cannons were used for more accurate work. It was clear they were in retreat because they aimed for softer targets like joints the Bear's shields couldn't easily cover, or cockpits for quick kills. The conventional forces seemed to have been spared the worst of the fighting. Militants opened fire with more shoulder-launched explosives at whatever was closest as they made their retreat, linking up with Raiders and Bandits which also threw it into reverse; peppering the Ys with fire as they fell back. Along with this they popped smoke to help the Djinns avoid the incoming missiles, throwing off the targeting equipment.
The strange man in the Ifrit used his laser to shoot down the worst of the missiles that were aiming for his fellow pilots, buying the bears time to close in on him. Even so he fired up boosters on those skis and skidded out of the way of the worst of the fire, and when it did hit, he turned so that the bullets hit armor, non vital systems, or just grazed. Smoke was deployed in the worst of the fusillade, lasers and more WP missiles streaking out of it at the team that had him surrounded. And then he booked it.
All the forces were headed south towards the deep desert, and seemed to be abandoning the city.

As the battle continued the remaining forces inside the city begin moving forward against the retreating enemy. During this the forces on the beach finally make into the city after a few soldiers opened the gates. It was over on this end as the Ys Army stormed in anyone watching would be knowing full well their own warlord abandoned them.
The battle on the front lines, continued to rage the forces engaged heavy resistance from the militants. From the heavy anti air attack the MMS moved forward firing their heayv machine guns and 60mm Bazookas towards the enemy forces. This time they were not playing nice and began to fire to destroy, even if they exploded in the city. More infantry fell as they push forward and continued to engage, some using sniper rifles to get good kills, others firing on the vehicles with their RPGs. A few more Grizzly Bears were heavyily damaged and explode taking parts of the town showing the MMS were not totally invincible.
Unlike before the Kori kept themselves back away from the anti air fire and fired the rockets from afar. The sheer amount of rockets would make it impossible to stop them all as this time they were now using all armaments before. Still a Kori is downed and none of the Jets due to sheer being too higher suffered no damaged from the enemy forces. 5 More Jets launched as well bringing the air power into over 20 jets, firing their missiles from afar targeting instead on the tanks.
During all this General Bellanger then orders, "Battle is won but let us give them an example on how futile their resistance was. Load up all tubes of missiles with cluster type and as soon as the enemy forces leave the city fire the missiles in a broad range to cover the entire escape route in all directions. There would be impossible to survive this unless they are not human."
Red Reaper soon whistled in something even the Plutocracy would do, to show an example. Though internally he could easily figure out the cyber Newtype would likely survive this, or at least get some of his forces out.

The retreat started out organized but it got much more frantic as the full weight of the Ys force began in full. Gunfire dropped men where they stood, and explosives ripped apart vehicles, JMS, and buildings like they were tissue paper. Even the inhuman commander of the forces could only do so much against the hellstorm being delivered upon them. Eventually just about all semblance of cohesion was lost and they outright ran, militants clinging to vehicles and riding along them when they were full while everything else moved at best possible speed to get out of the kill zone while time was still there. Behind the NAC the city burned as no expense was spared in forcing them out of it.
It couldn't be determined how many had got out, so frantic to escape they blasted down the gate on the other side of the wall and fled through it. The cluster munitions raining down on the area kicked up dust and sand for miles, and when it all cleared the wreckage and ruin from most of the army that had survived smoulder and smoked. If anyone survived, their numbers must have been low after that salvo.
The damage to the city was impressive, but it looked to be pacified. Cities in this part of Africa traded hands pretty often, it didn't seem likely anyone would get uppity after that display.

"Begin assessment of all damage, I want a full report from all squadron leaders on my desk by the afternoon. Make sure the populace is well, as well see if medical treatment is required. Tell Gibraltar beachhead is done and for the 4th State army to secure the city. We will make this our war Invasion Headquarters to begin the next phase of the invasion plans. As well get reinforcements and replacements for the 1st!", Bellanger soon ordered as he turned to the Red Reaper.
"Hrmm quite sloppy that was, though enjoyed the ending. It seems all is in order, the NAC' mobile suit is in Mount Catherine, sadly you need to surround it to end it.", Red Reaper soon said.
"That maybe so but our current goals is obviously dakar first. Taking that city itself would be the symbol we need for our people.", Bellanger soon stated.
"Oh symbols are nice and all but I suggest forget it, just quickly take the cities you need take mount Catherine and simply destroy remaining Coalition forces. Its more effective and end the war.", Red Reaper then suggested.
"Maybe so, but the Coalition will not simply stop its war. Even if we do that there will be enough resistance against us, though their power would be greatly diminished to take all of north Africa will take months of war. Anyways don't you need to be somewhere else now?", Bellanger then replied.
"Ah yes, I better get going don't I?", Red Reaper soon said leaving the bridge to take his transport to his next destination.
"I do not like that man or Lunarians, what are they planning...", Bellanger soon commented to himself.
