I thought the monsters screaming and shit exploding was just fine at the level I had it at, I was more interested in watching mechs smack the shit out of stuff than the screeching.

The only thing I missed out on was that of all the mechs they played up in the movie posters and shit, only two had a significant role to play. ...Which I hope isn't too much of a spoiler, but oh well. I'd have sure liked to know that ahead of time, lol.

Why? You wouldn't have watched it otherwise? o.o
Yeah. That was disappointing. But given the cost of it all I can understand. However hopefully we'll get a sequel or prequel. If not then, maybe someone in Japan will take interest, make an ova series out of it. I swear I just want some more gratuitous mech pron.

I would have still seen it, sure, but I'd be lying if I told you I didn't go there hoping to see russkiebot kick ass specifically. Which it did, but you know, not nearly as much or for how long as I had hoped initially.
There's already a 54 or so page prequel comic if you didn't see it, tales from year zero I believe it was called. Worth a read.
Clearly, the only solution is a PR RP. Har.

Yeah I got my hands on it. But it has even less mech stuff. It's more about the back story of how they developed the control system and a bit of back story on the characters.
I actually started working on a Jaeger mech designer. Just out of sheer wanting to have fun with it.

I liked the backstory actually, though brawler yukon was cool in that it wasn't at all humanoid like the others. Wouldn't have minded seeing it in the movie either.

Speaking of it, Its now made 100 million alone in China now.... so pretty much they have made profit, even if it didn't do so well in US.
