Sure. If you want. But in terms of scale it would have to be equivalent to that of a Great House. Which I guess doesn't really matter much since we're not use any kind of currency or purchasing of forces. Really we're just trying to have fun with the setting

Which means likely have an fleet for sure 100-300 ships maybe at most? They could be an Immirgrant fleet too or even an exploration Fleet if Richter would like that.. or even just a system or a couple size nation that just formed? I mean we have yet to explore all frontiers and I believe only two frontiers have some type of borders now which is South Southeast with Tetranni Dominion and was it West north west with Rialeen? I am not sure.

Well I never intended for them to be overly powerful, but strong enough to make dealing with them an interesting prospect considering the houses are vying for power. They were the aquatic plant xenos, as I'm sure Evan recalls, and I think I mentioned them to a couple other people here.
Ideally it'd be fun since they'd have radically different concepts of, well, everything compared to humanity. So dealing with them would be a curious thing to do all on its own. Consequently that'd be why they wouldn't be too strong, hard to find planets with water, even harder to terraform them to support it if they didn't have it already.
But if that'd be too out of setting I could prob do something else.

Actually that would... I wouldn't mind it being like that and that WOULD be interesting.
Edit: Carlos said it was fine soo do it >=D I guess make it in the Faction Profiles when you got time.

I'll wait to see what he thinks of the actual idea above first, since I went into more detail now.

Sound's totally fine.
You'd have to choose a directional frontier you're located near. The main frontiers, north, west, south, and east have colonies and a decent human presence. But the ones in between are under developed, if at all.

They were the aquatic plant xenos, as I'm sure Evan recalls I do recall. Felt a bit Star Control-y.

That's because it was loosely based on the Supox, lol. But different enough I think to not be a rip off. Or I thought so anyway, certainly a lot more serious. And without the work of any progenitor race, since I believe the Supox themselves even reached the conclusion they were made to be sentient.
Good times though, great game to draw from.

Been pondering ideas for a faction and I told Pitman the gist of the idea last night. Liking where it's going but I think I'll have to talk to either him or Carlos about some things before I decide entirely what's up. Not sure how it works all in the rules and stuff.

Yes. The rules >_>;;
Admittedly we never wrote any. Because it was primarily focused on our characters in school. And references to our factions were typically either in our customs or in references to something from our pasts.
So really the only rule would be that your faction be the same size as the other factions. Since Richter's an alien. You can really have any kind of faction. Though something like being psychic or using some crazy tech that changes the balance heavily would be something that had to be worked.
But as far as back story. It's all good as long as it fits into the existing history and makes sense. If you want to integrate yourself into the existing history of the Empire itself. Ask pitman. He's crazy obsessed with it. Where as I'm like "Sure, it makes sense somewhere." xD

Obessed?!! I am not obessed!! *Holds out a figurine created in image of Ven Avenor along with all others who are being created* I am never obessed see!! *In background shows multiple historic ideas from the RP*
On a more serious note really its not hard to make a faction due to main timeline is vague mostly.
