She had entered the Malévolante Carnivàle's tent, casting a concerned glance back at the dusk as it cascaded down the land, slowly entering.
7:10 PM
Breathing hard, limping, struggling to stay upright with the aide of a nearby fence. She looked back quickly, no one there, she continued on. The voice in her mind told her to keep moving no matter what. Something made her stop, the rattle of fence she was desperately holding onto. A quiver of fear in her lip, two tears rolled down her cheeks, slowly she lifted her gaze up at the top of the fence. Fear took over, trying to run, but her left ankle was sprained and shell on her stomach.
It came over her, the shadow, she could hear screaming over and over. It's a shame she didn't realize the screams were her own.
8:00 A.M.
Patriel had been asked by Cirenia to come with her down to the city. He didn't know why at the time. Though the Princess seemed the same as ever, there was the slightest tinge of something else there in her manners, but he really didn't know.
"This way your Highness," Said a Lieutenant with the Imperial Police, he lead her to them to the scene.
Patriel looked up at the dark clouds, thick riblets of water were coming off the nearby rooves, they said the weather control system was malfunction.
"How Ominious..." Patriel muttered as they reached the tarp covered scene. Going inside, it hit him immediately, the scent of it. Stomach tightened up and his eyes narrowed as he got closer. Blood was all over the scene. It led to a body.
"Multiple fractures and breaks to the limbs, both rib cages crushed, jaw dislocated, and a caved in skull in three different places on the skull," The Lieutenant read off as calmly as he could given the stench. Then he handed Cirenia the data slate. "DNA confirms it's Lady Karli"
Patriel bent near the corpse. Unrecognizable to his eyes, though he had never know her very well, she mostly spoke to Cirenia or Ven. Taking a pen from his pocket, he gently turned her head, looking to the wounds on her head. Followed by the nature of the other wounds.
"These were done with bare hands," Patriel said as he got up and started to leave.
"Patriel, where are you going?" Cirenia called out.
"I need to talk with my brother," Patriel replied as he left the scene.
