Smaller than the suites the other Houses enjoyed. It was more like a condo as it shared the floor with other nobles of lesser status. But at least it had a good view over the nearby seashore the school was situated close to.
Siede happily entered, having had a good day with classes, even made a few new friends among the lesser nobles. Casually walking in and locking the door behind him. Moving to flip a light switch, only to find it not work, something seized him by the neck from behind. Dragging him into another room where all the windows were covered. Tossed hard onto the floor. His hip felt like it was nearly dislocated.
Then the light went on. It was a red fluorescent light. Patriel stood opposite him wearing what looked like some kind of rubber jumpsuit.
"Wu-wu-" he tried to say, before he was seized by the shoulders and thrown clear across the room, shoulder fist into the wall. Feebly reaching for something in his pocket. Wrist suddenly smashed by a piece of metal pipe that curved on the end. "AHHHHH!!!"
Patriel watched as he writhed on the floor. His eyes narrowed, his jaw tight, his chest moving heavily as he circled around him.
"Why!?" Siede screamed in agony.
Patriel seized him by the throat and stood him up against the wall. "You thought you'd use us to do your dirty work for you. Did you enjoy watching Ardashir die at my hands?" His voice was icy cold. His eyes horribly dark and distant in the red light.
Siede squirmed away, though only because he was allowed to, huddling himself into a corner. "We did nothing wrong! They tried to cheat and exploit us! Like so many others! We were a good and honest House!" He shouted.
Patriel looked a little taken aback by this and Ciede could see it.
Siede continued. "You are the same! You only offered your help because you wanted to exploit our weakness through your strength!"
Patriel closed his eyes, his jaw clenched, he stretched his neck. Then opened his dark eyes like something that had crawled up from a black abyss. "Let me show you how right you are." His malice ridden tone ringing as he closed on the younger man.
No one heard anything. The room had sound dampeners. The following day, Siede's maid arrived to clean, she found the room unlocked. And found Siede nailed to a wall. Many of his front teeth were missing along with his tongue. But she didn't have to look far to find the teeth. The tongue was another matter. The investigators would later conclude that he had died from blood loss and had been alive for all that happened to him.
