The peace treaty between the Iltruskar Hierarchy and the human Empire did not go as smoothly as was hoped. By the Kelp, and almost definitely by humanity as well. The rash actions of Norman and his radical faction revealed a great deal to the Iltruskari, a side of internal politics it was likely they did not want to get out. Even discounting that, it proved that the Plants would need to be very wary dealing with the meat creatures, least they end up in the sights of 'radicals'...or those seeking to use their cause as an excuse for violence.
Either way the treaty was concluded and the Hierarchs were happy with the arrangement if not the execution. For now peace would rule the day.
Step two, and the entire reason that meeting went south, was because the Iltruskar very much wanted the rights to deal with the noble houses directly. It didn't escape their notice that these people held a lot of sway in the Empire's internal structure and, like a vine's roots working their way into a brick wall and slowly eroding it, they too could work their roots into the entire nation through this weak link. The mortar between the stones, to speak metaphorically. However, it was not entirely that devious. Being able to trade with the lesser houses without bureaucracy in the way would also allow both sides to deal with each other with much less hassle; no need for liaisons you see. The Kelp envoy was not lying when he boasted that as a benefit to both sides.
In a rather unusual choice, Mirchial was chosen by the Hierarchy itself to lead this envoy into Rabona space. While not unheard of, explorer fleet captains were expected to be able to conduct themselves in ambassadorial roles for obvious reasons, typically relations with established groups was turned over to the castes specifically raised to do so. In this particular instance, it was decided that the return of a familiar face-analog would work more to their benefit. That would be why Mirchial and his Charybdis class vessel were about to make the jump into space outlined to them as belonging to House Rabona.
We make history today, a smaller step than those before, but a step none the less....
The emotion he was feeling was something akin to anxiety, it seems that was something they shared with humanity. The Hierarchs placed a great deal of interest in this affair, and it fell upon him to see it through. Normally he would not be concerned quite so much...but aforementioned radicals spread throughout the Empire made him more antsy than usual. Last time things were smoothed over, would it work again if need be?
(We are ready to jump to Rabona Space, Xulran.) The maneuvering officer aboard his bridge spoke up, pulling the alien from his thoughts and back into the real world.
(Excellent. Tell all ships that we will commence the jump in thirty minutes.) He ordered after only a second's delay.
The fleet he brought this time was small, smaller than they usually traveled with in uncertain space. They did not trust the Imperials nor their border security, and how could they? None of them had ever seen it before. Even so only so much military ordnance could safely be brought into another sovereign nation under the blanket clause of 'diplomatic security'. It almost made him feel naked. Well, that wasn't the right word being they did not wear clothes. It made Mirchial feel vulnerable.
Briefly, he went over the last status report all of his captains had sent him about an hour and a half ago. It all checked out, of course. Snapping to attention as the clock wound down, the xeno vessels disappeared from neutral space all at once - jumping from the uninhabited border systems into Rabona Space.
Immediately he would open up a communication with any orbital control personnel handy and announce himself accordingly: "Greeting Rabona and/or Imperial forces. I am Mirchial, Xulran of the Hierarchy Space Navy. Military caste, second rank. Exploration Fleet Subcaste, first rank. Assigned diplomat to House Rabona. We are here to request a meeting with your group's ambassadorial corps, such arrangements should have been communicated beforehand. Further requesting permission to approach and dock."

On Outpost Ruby, one of the many small worlds under the Rabona Group's rule it was an ordinary day for local populace. But unknown to them they were to be visited by a group of aliens for the first time in its history. Though much smaller then one would expect it was on the outskirts of the Rabona System. Planet Rabona itself was deeper in space and even so the outpost always was used for all those entering into the region. Expecting company the House Rabona were given good timing, and already prepared translators for the System navigation command.
Soon a message was received and they with a translated version soon reply, "This is Rabona System Navigation Command, behalf of the Board of Directors and welcome you to Rabona Space. Your ships will proceed to Planet Rerilia the 4th Planet in the system. There we have already prepared a place for your people to stay and ships to dock. On Arriving we will have our Diplomatic Corps., Board of Directors, The current Chairman/CEO/President and Head of House* Rabona, as well a Special Representative. The flight path before you will escort your ship with our current self defense Patrol Squadron to protect your ships heading to Rerilia. That is all."
With such tight security over sixteen patrol boats soon appeared and ready to direct the Iltruskar towards their destination. Though it seemed a bit excessive to protect their guests, Rabona didn't want to take any chances especially now they arrived. Though unknown to aliens at the time there have been multiple raids in the system which the Rabona's Self Defense System Fleet has been struggling to keep in check. It is unknown who they belonged to only that they have fielded black fighters and a few small black frigates. Due to this Rabona has hired more mercenaries to defend their trade routes, as well requested aide from anybody wishing to help. Soon the ships lead the guests towards Planet Rerilia.
Elsewhere on the way towards Planet Rerilia
The RSS Darwin was making its way back to Planet Rerilia arriving before Iltruskar ships arrive they already passed the 7th Planet in the system. With the Rabona System with over twenty worlds from the small world Outpost Ruby to the center Planet Rerilia IV. The Board already ordered for the first time in years RSS Darwin were recalled to undergo maintenance and given an break from the long exploration in the last decade. The ship as well needed upgrades into its software and some overhauls of a decade worth. With this Captain Kathrine Rarlaria sat on her Captain's seat overlooking her new orders which she was surprised on getting.
"Anything wrong Captain?", Ginju soon asked as he was on the bridge at this time.
"Nothing much... just these orders... their odd. Heard anything from CALIBURN?", Kathrine soon asked.
"Not much though the current detachment in the west have been having issues as of late. Though not us to really care since we are exploration not combat ship.", Ginju soon whispered to the Captain.
As the ship made its way slowly pass one of the 7th Planets moon nothing on radar got picked up.
"Ma'am I am picking up something.", the navigation officer reported.
"What is it?", Kathrine soon asked.
"Its... an SOS!! I am reading multiple heat sources and ships currently not far from here!!", she soon shouted.
"What?! What about the Pa-", Kathrine soon said as alarms soon blared as an Particle cannon shot was heading directly in their path.
"Raise shields all hands level one combat stations!!", Kathrine ordered.
As the Particle Screen Emitter activated the blast was barely stopped in time. Soon four small black frigates appeared not too far launching what looked to be fighters carrying payloads.
"Fuck?!! Bandits here?!! How the fuck did the 7th Planet Patrol Squadron not stopped this?!!", Kathrine soon shouted.
"Ma'am We cannot fight against the amount of forces heading our way I suggest.", her First officer was reporting soon another alarm shouted signaling another ship was picked up.
"Another ship as appeared!!", one bridge officer soon shouted.
"Wait I this kind of IFF signal... could that be a.", Kathrine was saying with her first officer soon wanting a visual confirmation.
Soon not too far a large ship similar to the Darwin but drastically different was seen. On it two flight decks and weapons on it. In front of Kathrine soon an Aurlian Ship arrived and was firing its weapons towards the frigates to their rescue. At the time the Patrol fleet leading the Iltruskar would be soon in range of the current small battle.
On ASF Rhiannon
"All hands level one battle stations!! All hands level one battle stations.", a voice on the intercom sound as various engineers in normal suits were prepping the fighters from the deck to the launch catapult. A young man was running with his pilot suit on heading towards his own fighter. One of the technicians soon gave him his key as he entered the pilot suit.
"2nd Lieutenant I am picking up 5 Blackguard frigates and eleven fighters. They were attacking the trap like we planned but RSS Darwin arrived at the wrong time. Your first priority is to protect the Darwin from enemy fighters, their speed seemed to be slow and likely carrying anti ship payloads. Remember they do not know we are using the new Arawn type fighter so be careful.", the navigation officer soon reported.
"Just figures.... though officially Aurlian Engineering Corps. Its nice to be in the Caliburn Western Battle Group... we always see combat. I am read that over and out.", the pilot soon said with a smile preparing his controls, he soon says, "Sister Zelesia and sister Wilda just watch me."
Soon with everything ready the man soon shouts, "This is 2nd Lieutenant Garlan Ashburn!! Arawn Launch!!"
Soon the fighter leaves the Rhiannon towards battle.

The alien was pleased with the efficiency of the locals and their operations, and also fairly impressed with just how extensively colonized this system was. Typically, they saw one or two habitable worlds at most around a single star. Perhaps what they had said about being master terraformers in their first meeting really wasn't just blowing smoke?
"Thank you for your welcome, Command. We shall await the arrival of your escorts and proceed as directed." Mirchial curtly responded, and did just that. Soon enough, when the 16 vessels showed up the Kelp let them form a battlegroup around their formation and then began to follow them deeper into the system at impulse speeds.
Before now the Iltruskari had yet to see modern human warships, and most of the crew from the various captains down to deck hands were gazing at the patrol ships serving to lead them around. It was certainly an interesting day for most of them, this group having missed the bigger Imperial meeting some weeks beforehand. The strength of the garrison did pique the xeno's curiosity somewhat, but he put it aside and merely assumed it was done as a precaution towards the civil war. Even if House Rabona wasn't involved, that sort of drama always made pirates and brigands more bold than in times of peace. Better safe than sorry was a philosophy they very much understood.
Mirchail sat patiently at his bridge while they proceeded towards Rerillia, pondering over what he would talk about with the nobility. He had to make a solid case, if he wanted this to work out as planned. A concerned look from the sensor officer on his ship made him lean forward and address the young Kelp directly.
(Are you detecting something?) The admiral asked, looking down at the officer and his console. This particular Plant had to only be 8 or 9, a new recruit.
(Yes sir. It's a human transmission, translating now...it appears to be a call for aid. Near this system's seventh planet....we also have confirmed counts of numerous ships up ahead exchanging fire. It looks like a battle.)
(Put it on screen immediately!) The commander of the flagship ordered, and soon after a visual of all the vessels involved was brought onto the ship's main screen. It goes without saying he recognized the Darwin.
Fate is a strange thing, to think I would find them here yet again at such a moment. I suppose that is precisely what the Hierarchy had in mind in choosing me for this assignment. Very well, we shall play our part in turn.
Mirchial opened a line with his small fleet immediately. (This is Xulran Mirchial. All ships are as of this moment to go to general quarters, power shields and ready weapons. Do not undertake any actions beyond that without my expression permission, we are in a very delicate situation.)
Acknowledgements quickly followed, while the crew of his own vessel readied the Charybdis for battle, too. Even if they did not get involved, they now needed to be prepared to defend themselves in a worst case scenario.
It appears their heavy security measures were not unfounded after all. Perhaps I can use this situation to win their favor.
For several long moments the alien watched the fight proceed, trying to make heads and tails of which side was which. The Darwin seemed to be under attack, and another ship they weren't familiar with appeared to be coming to its aid...while a number of black painted frigates were the aggressors. Having no knowledge of the Blackguards, they merely assumed that was a trend for local pirates to identify one another.
(Open a line directly to Rabona Command.) Came Mirchial's next order, the officer on comms nodding when the link was established.
"Attention Rabona Command," he began, translating himself for benefit of swift command, "this is the Iltruskar fleet. Your security looks inadequate to handle the incursion of foreign vessels near your 7th planet without serious damage being incurred by local forces. These vessels look to be a threat as much to our diplomatic envoy as to your own naval personnel and assets. Therefore, I am prepared to offer you assistance in repelling the intruders."
The hope he had in mind was that riding to the rescue would win them a lot of favor, here. Even more so amongst the Darwin's crew, who in addition to already knowing, looked to be the Blackguard's targets right now.

As Rabona Command received word soon a reply was sent, "We are grateful for your offer Xulran Mirchial to assist us. But the current battle you're seeing is in fact a staged attack to attempt to eliminate the pirates who have been plaguing parts of Rabona space. The large Star Carrier is ASF Rhiannon of the Aurlian Duchy Alliance Star Forces Special Engineering Corps. who offered their assistance to combat the piracy. As our guest it is us to protect you but we will not forget the offer you have made at all. It was unneeded for this situation but we are grateful for such a friend."
As the battle raged around Darwin who was accidentally involved on the planned operation to get rid of the Blackguard in the region. Its Shields continue to hold as the smaller weaker weapons of the frigates didn't do much damage. Though a few missiles the enemy fighters managed to damage parts of the hull of the ship, no deaths have yet to occurred. Kathrine was both pleased and pissed that the Rhiannon came to her aide but at the same time that the ships attacking were much smaller then her ship.
'Figures a whale cannot fight against a pack of sharks....'
Even so the battle would damage the ship til detection of a large fleet of Patrol ships and to her surprise Iltruskar ships. Thinking the manner if these Black ships knew better its no better time to run. And matter of fact as soon they began to break off from Darwin. Even so it was too late a fighter squadron arrived to prevent the enemies' escape. Already one of the frigates were on fire from the combined missile and particle cannon attack being much smaller against the vastly larger Rhiannon. An light of an explosion was seen as one of the black fighters were destroyed. The superior new Arawin fighters were completely pushing the Black Fighters like nothing but what shocked her to see one of the fighters take down three fighters within three minutes. Once more shocking that it transformed into a humanoid shape to dodge and fighter at multiple times.
"Variable Fighters? I thought that was just simply theory and ideas back in the day. To actually see them being used and for actual combat its...", Ginju soon said with Kathrine finishing for him, "Amazing."
"Three down... and all enemy fighters eliminated.. next the frigates.", Garlan soon commented as he transformed back into fighter mode heading for the three remaining Frigates who were preparing to jump away.
"I won't let you get away!!", Garlan shouted as he fired his medium unguided rockets towards the bridge of one of the frigates which lighted up and stopped to prepare to jump.
Soon two frigates were disabled the final was about to jump but soon a message was sent to the fighters, "All fighters break off from last frigate moving into position and firing the Large Pulsar in massive Short Burst Mode*."
Quickly the fighters broke off as the Rhiannon got into position and fires its Large Pulsar as the blast soon completely turned the frigate into melted ruin for everyone to see.
"Figures... always want to show off hey Captain.", Garlan commented.
On Darwin Kathrine was shocked too at the newer weapon that they just used.
"I knew Aurlia was developing those weapons back in the day but they never worked well. But to as well work on another experimental weapon and successfully finish it. I can see why Star Cruisers have those now for close range combat. The Sheer power of multiple of those hitting ships would even make a Titan Type hurt if close enough.", Ginju soon commented.

*Think like a shorter range hadron cannon/Guren from Code Geass when firing its microwaves in a large radius but in short range. Bullet Mode basically concentrates the microwaves into a ball and fired at more accurate but weaker bursts.

Mirchial had his doubts about the operation. Of all the times to stage something like that, why do it the same day they were slated to arrive? Perhaps it was an attempt to show off their own might for a change, the same way the Iltruskar had been trying? It was something to consider, but regardless, he would respect their wishes.
"Understood Rabona Command, we shall trust that you have the encounter under control." Came his response. He ordered his ships down to a lower station but kept them at the ready purely out of precaution.
Which seemed to be all that was required, because the arrival of the new cruiser seemed to turn the battle around at frightening speed. The alien had his personnel keep a close watch on everything happening, and that was why these new fighters deployed from the the Rhiannon would catch their interest almost immediately.
(Are those fighter craft transforming, Xulran?) Mirchial's executive officer asked from beside him, the eyes of both glued to the screen.
(It would appear so.) He answered, stating the obvious. Even so he didn't really believe it either.
(How do they not rip themselves to pieces moving at those velocities? Humanoid shapes typically lack the structural integrity to undergo such high speed maneuvers, without significant feats of engineering...) The second in command continued, just as perplexed as the captain.
(Evidently, the humans are extremely cunning in their applications of technology.)
The idea of mechs was something totally new to the Kelp, being that those sorts of designs would be all but worthless underwater. Even in space most of their advancements were adaptations of what their naval vessels used, with other projects getting considerably less attention. This is why they lack most laser technology, amongst other advances considered 'old school' in the ranks of human science circles.
The battle was over before they knew it in record time, the new fighters proving extremely capable in a fight. Those energy weapons caught their eye as well, not impressed at all...at first. But when the star cruiser moved into short distance and unleashed its powerful burst mode the Kelp were a lot quicker to take stock of what those things were capable of.
(It would seem combat doctrine for engaging human vessels should revolve around keeping distance, if these weapons are to be considered commonplace amongst their fleets.) Mirchial said thinking aloud, his XO nodding in agreement.
All of it was recorded to be documented and passed around to the ranking military back home when they returned. In the short term...Mirchial would have to find time to ask about that. But until then they waited to be escorted to the planet they were directed too, unless the battle would end up to change the plans of the locals.

As the battle ended the fighters soon returned to Rhiannon with them doing an open channel, "To all ships this is Captain Rabul Uralulu-Urazuzu of the ASF Rhiannon. The route towards Rerilia is all clear we made sure of it, we will escort you all to dock. Message off.
On the bridge of Rhiannon the older Lord sat on his Captain's chair and noticed the new type of vessels in the Rabona Group Patrol Fleet.
"So these are the so called Iltruskar... those ships are defiantly alien origin as well. Well not like it matters we cannot go back easily to Aurlian space with Central a forbidden zone. I pray the conference will go well, because if not it will be extremely hard to return home.", the Captain mentioned on the bridge.
In the flight deck the Arawn's were checked up on and resupplied and fueled for another engagement if another arises. Garlan soon left the deck and headed to the pilot locker room to stay on standby just in case getting some drink to keep himself going. In the locker room he soon checked up on his belongings and looked at an physical picture showing him, his two elder sisters, with their now dead parents.
"Those Blackguard guys will pay... right dad... mom...?", he muttered.
On RSS Darwin all damage was assessed then giving green light able to continue towards their destination. Kathrine relaxed a bit but regardless the ship went into formation with the fleet.
The Patrol Squadron allowed both ships into formation and continued to their destination.
Elsewhere
"Hrmm... so it was a trap then." a voice soon said.
"Expected, Aurlia and Rabona's ties are strong due to that marriage a while back.", another voice soon said.
"Still those new ship types... I never seen them before. Could these be the aliens I have been hearing about then?", the first voice then stated.
"I believe so, still we must continue with the operation. I believe we have received more information on Caliburn hideouts. Once the Western Battle Group is wiped out we will be allowed to freely roam in the west and provoke Imperials and Nobles once more.", the Second voice then stated.
"Ah but those aliens... they might help us as well. We will also use the more radical Imperials plans for our purposes. Whatever means we will completely wipe out all lasts ounces of Nobility and Imperials. For glory for a free world and democracy. This Empire must be paved in blood at any costs."
Soon the stealth ship left the area.

The aliens carefully observed the Star Cruiser as it fell into formation with them, noting its speeds and where around its hull hardpoints for weaponry were located. Especially those that contained the deadly pulse guns.
Chatter between the Kelp ships was mostly kept to procedure only, and moods inside the respective vessels were also rather reserved. Primarily, they were just hoping to get through this without another diplomatic incident. To that end they followed along with the Rabona escorts the rest of the way to Rerilia.

As the ships finally arrived at the planet Darwin took its leave towards an oribital shipyard to begin its check up. The Patrol ships soon left and headed back towards Outpost Ruby. As for the remaining ships were requested to make docking procedures not at a station but the large tower that went from the ground in to space. An orbital Elevator as it were to allow fast transport for all people and materials goods that are set to sell.
"ASF Rhiannon Dock at special dock 3.", the operator first said then continues for the Iltruskar.
"Iltruskar ships dock at Dock 4 through 8.", the word was given to them by the operator..
If one noticed the planet itself looked to have living thriving city below lights and even some ocean was seen. At the actual docks there was an Ambassador and even an honor guard for the guests were waiting where the Iltruskar. On them the normal suits were on as this portion of the docks were not enclosed.

The concept of a space elevator wasn't new to them, but even so they weren't very common in the Hierarchy owned regions of space. Terrible things to upkeep even if they were very efficient. Even so the small fleet of alien vessels moved to dock at their assigned stations high in orbit above the world. Mirchial himself had to admit it was rather beautiful, he always found the sea from space a mystifying sight to behold. The sprawling cities of humanity caught his eye as well, starkly different than those of his own kind; they were wide open to the sky and open air with tall buildings rising up all around the foot of the tower.
It was an interesting sight to someone so unaccustomed to it.
After docking procedures were clear Mirchial and his own security force equipped themselves and headed out through the airlock and into the space elevator's interior, once command of the fleet was turned over to his XO. They, too, were all clad in pressure suits with rifles equipped but slung harmlessly over the back. The Xulran was a soldier unlike the diplomat from before, and wore his weapons proudly to denote his station.
Upon spotting the other ambassadorial corp he would raise one of his leafy limbs in greeting and then lead his force of five other Kelp over.
"Greetings, I am Mirchial, ambassador to your House...it is an honor to meet you here on this day." He said, opening politely. As always his voice was synthesized and without a hint of emotion thanks to his implanted translator unit. "The Hierarchy is pleased that you are interested in opening relations with our people. It is my hope a beneficial arrangement can be worked out for both parties and our mutual benefits."
Seems these guys were all business when on task.

The Ambassador soon smiles then replies, "Yes Welcome to Planet Rerilia, Capital of the Rabona Special Economic Zone. I am Ambassador Releves Dillion of the Rabona Group, here behind me is the honor guard in helping you in your protection when here on the planet to increase security. The Board of Directors, and the Chairman are in fact waiting in the main meeting office. Which is in the Stratosphere Section of the Tower. We have as well prepared your own special quarters for you to rest. We put a lot of work that to your liking and made everything for your species that we so far know. Now please this way Mister Mirchial."
Soon with the honor guard lead Mirchial and his fellow kelp towards the meeting room.

Everything so far seemed up to standard for the xenos, and they fell into stride behind the entourage towards their destination. Along the way the alien would continue to speak.
"I look forward to meeting your committee, then. Likewise I would like to thank you for taking our specialized needs into consideration. We are well aware of how troublesome it is to prepare living space for marine life as opposed to air breathing mammals, it is what makes our efforts in space difficult." Mirchial noted, noting the same problems that were brought up in the Imperial meeting. Water was always vital for them, and so were planets that could sustain it.
As they proceeded through the tower the group of Kelp soldiers would take in the scenery, even while keeping a cautious eye on everyone just in case on the way to meet with the higher ups in House Rabona.

As the group went into an elevator which lowered them down they soon arrived to the special floor they were to have the meeting. On the walls various rich looking painting hung on the walls with symphonic music playing in the hallway. Wooden tables and comfortable chairs as well on the way to the room. As they arrived to the door two servants soon bowed to the guests and opened the door. As the door opened interesting enough a great view can be seen of the clouds due to being in the stratosphere as well seeing the ocean and various buildings slightly closer.
The room on the other hand itself would make the Iltruskar pleased half of the room was an transparent tank filled with water and Rabona's attempt in making chairs that the Iltruskar would likely use after reading as much info they could gather. A long table was next to he tank to for the Board of Directors and the Chairman. With another waterproof kind for the Iltruskar on the glass. The Board itself all of them looked much older humans then the Iltruskar would have seen before. Males and females in their sixties. On one end Captain Kathrine but this time in full formal clothing and chair down with a skirt. In the middle of them all a man sat that looked to be stuck on an automatic wheelchair the face of the man's hair was pure white, his green eyes had a visor that was on his face to see. One could easily tell this man wasn't young, he was in fact the Chairman, CEO, President, and Head of the House of Rabona Corann Rabona. At the age of 99 he has seen his family grown but sadly both his daughters and grand daughters dead. Thus making his heir Ven Avenor his great grandson, and heir to the Duchy of Aurlia. He was attended by a servant who stood behind him well the rest of the board got up when the Iltruskar entered.
"Welcome my friends, I do hope your journey was safe. We are the Board of Directors to the Rabona group and have prepared a special tank for your people to relax in well we discuss our trade deal. Here you have already met Captain Kathrine of RSS Darwin, and here is our Chairman, CEO, President and Head of the House of Rabona Corann Rabona.", one of the directors soon said.
"Let us begin the meeting shall we?", Ambassador Releves Dillion soon suggested.

The paintings lining the walls drew the eye of the attending admiral of the Eastern Exploration Fleet, perusing them as the entourage passed and trying to get a taste for human culture via the experience. More than a few were lost on the visitor. While art had a place in Iltruskari culture, many of the portraits likely grasped at subjects they knew no comparison to. However, he was certain the hand that made them was extremely talented.
"Your people possess fine workmanship for the arts, Ambassador." Miarchial complimented before they got to the meeting room.
When they did arrive the first thing noticed upon stepping through the doors was the windowed view of the planet from high in its atmosphere, giving an impressive bird's eye look at the planet below. From there Mirchial's trio of eyes scanned the room from one edge to the other, taking in the rest of the arrangements that had been prepared for both sides. The rich furnishings were were extremely tasteful, that was something even aliens to this area could tell.
Much more keen on his interest was the flooded section of the room that was set aside for the Kelp to make use of. It was extremely thoughtful of them, and were they not all clad in armor, it would likely show that they appreciated the effort greatly. Either way they didn't dwell on it too long before speaking to the executives waiting to meet them.
"It is a pleasure to be meeting you all today, and meeting again in the case of the Darwin's commanding officer. I am without doubt your traffic control personnel have already relayed my name and ranking to your committee, but I would like to introduce myself regardless as Xulran Mirchial. Before we begin, your accommodations are very well received...you have our thanks for making such arrangements. Supposing there is no trouble in doing so, I would like to see myself to them and get comfortable, that we may proceed on equal footing."
Which was a nice way of saying he wanted in that tank instead of being stuck in a suit for the next couple of hours. It wasn't pleasant for a person, and it sure wasn't for them either. If no one stopped them the squad of six would hoist themselves up and hop into the cooled tank of water - sinking down to the bottom thanks to their armor. Mirchial looked at a monitor mounted in his left wrist that scanned the liquid's content, finding no faults in its composition. Reassured that there would be no foul play here, the lot of them arranged themselves around the table inside the tank and took seats.
The alien unclasped his helmet with a hiss, storms of bubbles rising to the surface as the pressure seal was broken. He lifted it up, off, and set it on the table with each soldier under his command doing the same. Several other compartments in their armor were also depressurized one by one, letting clean water flow through to replace the recycled stuff held within. Immediately they looked a lot more comfortable. The armor they were wearing was extremely decorative the same as the type worn by Swlwan's bodyguards, trimmed and gold and made of sleek silvery metal that matched their ships outside.
"Yes, this is wonderful. Long term enclosure is something we are capable, but not always fond, of undergoing. Water for our respiration can be recycled and reused precisely like humans and air, but it is not favorable if an alternative is available." Mirchial said, resting his arms on the table and folding them; obviously mimicing human body language.
"Now then, let us proceed with business. During our first contact the expertise of the Rabona Group was explained to me in short order by Kathrine." While speaking he'd motion to her. "Such things caught the interest of the Hierarchs themselves, and they requested I inquire further into what your enterprise works on. May we begin there?"

The Ambassador was the one to answer he was today's lead for the Directors.
"Of course, we have many things we research and develop. Which ones would you like to discuss first?", the Ambassador soon said as everyone was sitting and now ready for the meeting to commence.
During this time the Chairman stayed silent not showing any emotion but was completely calm. Though in advanced age he was watching the Iltruskar closely and noticed their body language of being genuine. Different they were, something out of the ocean but it was expected. Rialeens were tall and graceful. Tetranni were more harsher looking and menacing. Though Wars with those two civilizations have occurred the Rialeen have been the only ones to truly become friends and the past have been forgiven for both sides. With this the new race though looking strong, showed respect and diplomacy and considered them equals. Whereas Tetranni would think humans were inferior and test subjects to be taken apart.
During all this Kathrine also stayed silent but completely paid attention as she was the special guest called by the Board of Directors. With her being the only one actually meeting before it would be good for her to be here. But more important the real reason was to keep the RSS Darwin safe. Rumors been going on some Imperials wished to sink her due to being Rabona's only Exploration type ship. With the attack from Blackguard was unexpected it gave good reason for the ships crew to rest a bit after a decade long service.
Elsewhere
"Come in.", Captain Rabul Uralulu-Urazuzu said in his Captain's cabin reading over reports on what damage the Arawns received in today's combat.
"Its 2nd Lieutenant Ashburn I am here as you requested.", Garlan soon said as he saluted the man before him.
"Yes yes... it seems things have gotten interesting as of late.", Rabul soon said as he drank wine from Urabam.
"Oh Captain, why was I called?", Garlan asked innocently.
"Director Wilda Ashburn just gave me a message, our informants in the west have found something interesting.", Rebul said casually as he continued looking at the data pad.
"And what does my dear sister find interesting?", Garlan inquired.
"Well, first of all the blackguard ships we fought were not all of them in the west that is a fact. But due to the various terrorist attacks and the death of my brother Raizal things have grown more tense here. In the eastern portion of the West the Neo Imperial Party is building up an army and fleet. Mass recruiting from the Duchy of Immaculada and some other Houses. Remember these Houses are all small when alone united they could at least do something. As well reports been coming in we been losing Caliburn ships here and there almost if they know where we are.
For now Imperials have not made their move on the west at all. All eyes are on the Southeast including your sister. The conference is soon and it will determine what will happen. Skirmishes been breaking out everywhere extremely small most of them caused by Blackguard disguised either as Imperial or Noble ships. Your sister is slightly worried because there is a chance we may have a spy within the organization.", Rubel soon said.

As before it would likely end to be the admiral who ended up doing most of the talking here. Being a caste based society, they took their roles very seriously, along with the fact all the soldiers there had been briefed and were well aware of the fact that this was a meeting that had to go smoothly. So, barring special circumstance, they'd merely provide security.
"I was requested by our diplomat Swlwan to raise the issue of 'nanomachines' for discussion. Kathrine had mentioned that your group developed such technology, at the time we knew nothing of what that entailed..." Mirchail wasn't sure if they had heard what Norman Oustro had done. Well, he figured it couldn't hurt to tell them. "The ambassador I mentioned had witnessed one of your Empire's personnel get shot in the head at point blank range. Medical officials on the scene mentioned that these nanomachines could bring someone back from the brink of death..."
There was something of a pause there before he went on. "The implications of this technology are rather profound...supposing it truly works to such an extent."
Leaving off there he looked around a second time towards all the people seated on the dry section of the room. Everyone looked quite accepting, and that was good. His red eyes came to rest on the Chairman briefly, looking him over with appraise. That man wore his age like a heavy cloak, and Mirchial had no doubt wisdom came along with it. The oldest most Iltruskari got was around 40 or 50, no doubt he'd be shocked to hear this man was pushing at 100.
"We would like to know more if you are willing to share."
