Been pondering ideas for a faction and I told Pitman the gist of the idea last night. Liking where it's going but I think I'll have to talk to either him or Carlos about some things before I decide entirely what's up. Not sure how it works all in the rules and stuff. Tell me more good sir. Fuck, do I need to start going on AIM again? I broke that habit once, I'll never escape again.

It just always ran like shit on my computers. It beats some other messengers though, that's for sure. Sucks MSN died though, that one was okayish.

Well depends on PCs... before Skype used to run perfectly on my current rig, but ever since they closed down Live the Skype has been dropping calls left and right and just not working. Before the Live went down it was working perfectly too!! So I am blaming Microsoft on this... anyways when you got time the faction boards are open for your factions to put it there

I'm hesitating to post anything even though I have some stuff written up just because I want to make sure I'm going to have the time be playing regularly.
I did write up this quick as an idea of what I was thinking of doing:

Interesting. Especially to see which side of space you come from. Since the Rialeen and the Tetranni border the Empire's frontiers. Just not sure which side the Rialeen are supposed to be now that I think about it. >.>
Edit: Also. I was reading my novel today. And they make the revelation that the aliens they're trying to establish communications with is amphibious. And because of that, the ships are likely filled with water, which in turn allows them to maneuver at high acceleration because the water helps dampen the inertial force. Though they say something about it also allowing them to use larger reactors because it dissipates the radiation, less shielding needed, but they speculate that it would still be poisonous. The aliens having shown a disregard for their own lives in the novel, it's entirely possible.
Just a thought for Richter's faction.

That's pretty coincidental, mine were going to use ships filled with water and have a pretty low value on life too. Being short lived quick to mature and all, and the fact each one of them can easily have 20 some kids on their own; asexually if needed. Interesting thing about water letting you maneuver better, I didn't know that, I'm not too adept at physics, so thanks for the tip there. I do no it'd make anyone trying to forcibly board them get a huge surprise, or any poor diplomats. Go to the airlock and get flooded out, lol. Anyway I do want to update saying I'm working on it.

Well I would think a boarding party would come equipped with some kind of light power armor that's self sustaining. Since you're fighting in space. But it would be weird for them.
While the water would absorb some of the G-forces. I would imagine it would also slow it down a bit. Since water is definitely a heavier medium then air. But the point is really about being able to maneuver at a higher rate, which could kill crew members if it's too fast.
