Mazhe's compatriots linked up with him quickly once the final grunt robot had been dispatched, with him slowing to a stop between the pair. He opened his mouth to get the doctor's attention on the gunshot, but the man had already saw it and went to work. The rider winced in pain from the medic prying out the bullet and cleaning the wound, followed by handing him a pair of capsules. One was his recovery capsule, and the other a pill containing a sympathetic chemical that would enhance the healing powers provided by the former. Mazhe dry-swallowed both.
He resisted the urge to shiver as the laceration, and several lesser ones across his body, stitched themselves closed. It was a weird and very unpleasant feeling, but it sure beats being bedridden for a week. He barked out orders to take his mind off of that. "Follow on my heels. Rodriguez, cover north. Doc, south. We'll approach from its western flank and catch it between our crew and James'. It shoots fast and accurately, cover first, then shoot. Got it?"
Both agreed, and they rolled out with the rider going ahead. He rejoined the fight after Sarah's attack, in turn allowing her to get away after attacking just as she had provided a chance for her allies. He still felt a bit winded after getting shot, so he didn't use any skills this turn and instead merely pulled a double strafing run on the robot. He rushed straight at it, fired ten rounds, turned hard to the right before bootlegging back around to come in diagonally and fire another dozen. Then he pulled back for real, moving laterally to direct its attention away from what his allies were doing.
Dyson and Rodriguez moved to outflank the Desperoid on foot, so they'd arrive slower than their vehicle-borne ally. They put their backs behind any cover they could find and then began to attack. The doctor shot him, but since his weapon wasn't very powerful, he picked his target carefully. What the bow could damage was that camera on its head, so that's what he shot at. If it missed, no big deal, but blowing it out might curb its insane ballistic capabilities. The guitarman had another tactic in mind rather than just exchanging shots.
"Like dodging, do ya?" he said with a laugh. The musician slung his guitar off the back and into hand, strumming a few times before continuing to talk to himself, "Well! Try dodging this one!"
The artist turned the amp to another ear-shatteringly high level, directed it at the Wanted monster, and then began to hammer out harsh, fast, and chaotic chords.* These wouldn't hurt his allies since the sonic burst was direct at their enemy, but that didn't mean it'd be pleasant. As terrible as it was, it'd be very difficult to try and avoid pure sound. It took him awhile to get here and do it, but this guy might just have the bounty's number.

Mazhe's attack came just in time to hit the Desperoid, who was thinking of attacking the Soldier that managed to do some damage to it. While the bullets didn't do too much damage, it's starting to build up from the long battle. The bolt failed to make contact, with the camera ducking away from the coming projectile, but it can't really do that for sound now can it? The Desperoid is a robot, it doesn't have ears, but that doesn't mean sound won't cause damage to it. The powerful skill causes some heavy damage to it's fragile frame, and it seems to have locked the unit on the spot for a moment as it tries to adjust to the sudden wave of noise.
"Now! Give it everything we got!"
It was the best opportunity they got so far, so James directed the entire team to go on the offense. Taking the Harpoon Gun that he had retrieved from Sarah earlier, he fires from an angle where the harpoon would completely miss, but land on the other side. He then moves slightly and tugs on the chain so it would push against the robot and restrict its movements. Following that are Lilia who would join in Dyson's attempt to shoot at the head camera, which have slightly more success due to the different in projectiles fired from their weapons. A few bullets managed to hit it in the camera, not enough to destroy it, but enough to weaken its functions.
Following that are Sarah at full speed, firing both her own handheld weapons and the machine gun on the bike in full burst to deliver a thick barrage of bullets that slams into the weakened gunner bot. Eventually, the shots were enough to break off one of the robot's leg, causing it to lose balance. Seeing that it is in a pretty hopeless battle, it attempts to retreat on its remaining leg, at a much reduced speed while firing at both teams in an attempt to stall them. However with its main camera damaged, it is no longer able to fire the same accurate shots as before, and are much lower in threat level.

Just as with the other team, Mazhe's pressed the assault on the wounded desperado. Rodriguez switched back to his pistol after his exhaustive sonic attack, and both he and the medic shot at the one leg the robot had left after Sarah blew off the other. That was an easier target than the camera, and at the current time, more beneficial to strike.
The rider saw weak prey on the retreat and moved to drop in on its heels, as cavalrymen are so prone to doing when an enemy gives them their back. Down to one leg, there was only a scant chance of it managing to outrun him, and dodging wouldn't be very easy either. Naturally this didn't leave him much room to evade the shots that it was using to try and cover its exfiltration, but he accepted that fact and let them impact his armor while he hunkered down until he was basically hugging the chassis. A pair of rounds blew out what was left of his windshield, but honestly, he preferred bikes without them anyway.
The rider made it look as if he had planned to run the robot down with the way he was approaching, rolling up straight on it from behind without even firing. The reason for that was because he was hoping to con it into doing that 'fold up' trick again, or something else to quickly get out of the way. Well now he knew what it was capable of, so he prepared for it. Whatever the robot did, he jinked out of the way of impact before they'd collide, or if the Desperoid did evade, he'd move however was necessary to get into arm's reach. His cutlass was drawn out with the swiftness and bite of a winter breeze, the sharpened blade tearing towards the gunman's waist in the same motion in which it was pulled from the scabbard. A trick that his teacher had called the iaijutsu, it had many applications; in this instance it was being used to surprise an unaware foe. None of their teams had tried to use a personal melee attack the entire time, so he hoped this would catch it off guard and allow the strike to land.
He put all of his strength behind the attack, which combined with the momentum from his bike to create a very threatening attack that could very well Cut Iron. In particular, he aimed at the robot's narrow 'spine' that connected its lower body to the upper one. It was naturally the most vulnerable point to strike.
The only downside here was if it could still operate with only half of its body, he hoped not, or he'd be eating another two bullets at close range. But cautious people didn't become Riders.

The coming bullets and arrows aimed for its remaining leg managed to shake it up a bit, but not yet enough to snap it off like with its other leg. As Mazhe starts to close the space between himself and the robot, the Desperoid tries to fire shots after shots at him in an attempt to kill the human or at least keep him away, if Desperoid have an AI enough to have emotions then it would certainly have fear on the list.
The robot made a sharp turn just before when it thought the bike would crash into it, retracting its limbs again to reduce the chances of it getting hit, but this time it's not going to work. If it didn't work the second time, it certainly won't work on the third, with Mazhe predicting correctly on when to strike. The sharp blades cut right through the robot's spine, snapping the robot in half and sends it flying off, laying on the ground. The battle seems to have tolled its parts quite a bit, dis-activating after a few attempts to get up to continue the battle.
James carefully approaches it again, being the Hunter of the group which had specific skills in checking out their opponents. After some inspection, he nods to the rest of the team to show of their success in taking down their second Wanted target, the killer robot Desperoid. It was a tough battle, with everyone in the team taking some degree of injuries, some quite serious too if it wasn't for the medicine they had with them. Lilia, who seems to have stars in her eyes when she look at the remains of the Desperoid, digs in at the remains and starts to tear it apart some a buffet.
"Tada~! Look what I found! A Vulcan Box! So that's why it was shooting so fast, it cheated!"
"Well... it's a part of it's design so I won't call it cheating... How goes the wounds Sarah?"
"I'm fine, the pill worked as expected. But we really need to get a real vehicle, the bike's not designed to take hits that well."
While Lilia's looking cheerful at her new find, James and Sarah discusses the battle with the rest of the team. They also check to see which party will get the loot from the robot, which comes in the form of that special C-Unit, and the two fast firing pistols that the robot used to shoot at them. It'll be a fast shooting gun, certainly a good weapon to have for long range fighters.
They also killed a total of 412G worth of enemies, which when added to the Wanted reward, would get them a total of 4912G. Each team would be rewarded 2456G, that's more than if they took on a Sand Shark on their own, a pretty good amount that could be used to upgrade their equipment if needed.
"I'm definitely going to take a few days off after that, it was rough, could have cost us our lives when the tin pot suddenly appear out of no where and starting shooting at us. They sure worked well together when it comes to fighting us humans, while we still fight among ourselves. Good thing we came together or else it might be tough even trying to fall back with everyone still up and going."
James commented on the tough battle they had, it was shorter than their last trip, but it was definitely more filling in terms of contents. They had better equipment this time and it was still a tougher battle, who knows what they might have to deal with next time.

With the battle over the doctor once again offered to look over James's bunch, and if given the go ahead, would field dress their injuries so that they didn't get any worse on the way home. Those pills were great, but they weren't miracle cures. Granted, with a medic on hand, they could be damn close. The other two were more interested in the loot. Those were some mighty fine pistols, but then again, that vulcan system it had in there wasn't too shabby either. That piece of tech must have been why its chest was so thick, had to hide that somewhere.
"Do you suppose you could rip the memory off this bad boy?" Rodriguez asked the other artist while nudging the robot's head with the toe of his boot. "Or maybe see if it has some kinda blackbox? I wanna know this thing's gig, who built it and stuff. Maybe where it came from? Could be a good place to raid later for some choice loot."
Dyson agreed, "I concur. This one seems to be several cuts above the usual robots that prowl the wastes."
"I'm best with hardware anyway," the vagabond concluded.
While they did that, Mazhe followed up on James's comments. "I'm seeing a trend here; we get into a mess and then something big jumps us at the worst moment. Need to get everybody some wheels so we can pick and choose our battles better. This one could have been a disaster if we didn't bring six men."
It all made him feel like he was a rookie again, and those were days he was glad to have left behind. Living them once was bad enough, he did not want to have to crawl up that hill a second time. Doing just that seemed inevitable for the moment, but at least this time he had more buddies to go the distance with. He added on, "Well, good work as always. I'll fight with your posse anytime, definitely like what I'm seeing."
From there, that left the topic of how to split the spoils. This one was a really hard choice. "I imagine you or Sarah could use those guns best out of any of us. I'd say keep those and toss me the vulcan box," he reasoned. The biker then nodded to the curved sword he had resting on his shoulder, saying, "That thing is pretty damn heavy, but it sounds like a good investment to me. And anyway, I took the last personal weapon with this baby here. Probably would be fair to trade off, eh?"
Looking at this from the most pragmatic perspective, Mazhe was a career rider for one, and for two bikes had a hard time fitting main guns. So by taking the box he could still pump out reasonable damage by fire-linking automatics and combining those with his class skills. Similarly, the hunter and soldier were definitely the best ones out of the six at using hand weapons, especially two of them at the same time. So splitting everything up like this would probably make for the most efficient increase in their combined group's firepower, that was his lengthier reasoning.
Supposing they kept working together, that is.
